  1. Hi Ben, The Submaster default setting is Release Yes. You alter this either in general via Dest Setup/ Submaster Defaults and change the Release to "No" by default or do it during the normal workflow where it is needed. Subs which are set to Release "No" can be released by "Clear" button and Submaster Flash Button. Cheers Sven
  2. Hi Jorge, you may assign your HMIs to your Channel Faders. Make sure Channel Faders are set to HTP mode. Now you can load your Cues Subs etc. Without killing your HMI outputs. For further information do not hesitate to PM me. German is welcome!*:-) Cheers Sven
  3. Hello Ian, no, just turn off the desk. Cheers Laubfrosch P.S.: For your personnel psyche a backup is of help.
  4. Please can you serve me a lighter shade of grey please.....thank you! Sorry could not stand it. Cheers Sven
  5. Hi folks, @FrogGenius Well, how to start.....? :?: Like "Shake´s beer" Design or no design. I think people may start a discussion about colours and looks of an item, but a colour does not say anythink about the quality of a product. I suppose you find the faders and knobs perfect on a Frog desk.... ähm... the same hardware is used at the new jester. The reason is simple! These knobs and faders last for years and do their job. :!: If you do not like colours of the jester why don´t you paint it the way you prefer? cheers Sven
  6. Hi gress, you´re welcome!
  7. Hi gress, I hope the following is of help... The LTP Fade belongs to all attributes except the brightness of any patched fixture. The next option "CBP" sets these three attributes from fade to snap. i.e. P is set to fade & C is set to snap. doing a memory change the fixture moves from point a -> b within the given ltp fade time. Colour snaps as fast as possible to the value set in mem b without any fade. The LTP Fade Time reltes to the infade AND outfade of a memory.i.e. 3sec. mean 3sec. LTP infade & 3sec. LTP outfade. NO! You still have a 3 seconds fade. The fade in and Fade out time is set for all HTP- channels of a memory(Dimmer& Fixture Brightness). i.e. achange from mem a to b. Both mems have a 3 second fade in and 3 sec. fade out. a is output-> push the GO button-> both mems a&b start fading(a ->out,b->in) at 1,5 sec. both mems have an output of 50% of their origin programmed values. After 3 sec. mem a is of and b is output. yepp, it also may be the kryptons do no colour or beamshape fade. The best way to check this is to set the P=Position to fade and use a LTP fade of aprox. 3 or 4 sec. Dwell is a kind of hold time. i.e. 4 mems are having a trigger set to "AUTO" the "DWELL" defines the time the MEM is output till the next mem starts. Probably program a few mems with loooong fade times and activate your "OUTPUT" window on the monitor. playback your mems and watch the values. up fade is displayed green, out fade is displayed red. if you select one of the fixture you may also watch the fixture values. best regards Sven
  8. Hi folks, well why do you buy an analog haze if you know you´ll want to operate with an Frog or what else DMX lightdesk? Sorry, probably I´m to old to understand this way of working.... ATTENTION Commercial follows!!!! For all folks who are looking for a nice hazer have a look on the Look Solutions "Unique" This hazer is already equipped with a DMX interface. You are allowed to control the haze intensity and the fan strenght. So effects from steady light haze up to nearly real fog is possible. That´s why it is one of my favorites! Commercial END!!! cheers P.S.: I do NOT distribute Look Solutions!!!*LOL
  9. Midfield....*LOL Score is 641 8)

    Power Switch

Hi all! Well, a good friend of mine once told me " the only way to break electric equipment is to switch on and off....." Mhhhhh...the Frog 2 has two off them!!! To be serious again. Don´t you guys think off a power distributor with switch...? cheers
  11. Hi GLX & Halo @GLX: dimming problems with Pinspots are caused by low budget transformers. Make sure the preheat option is turned off on all chaanels assigned to the Pinspots. @ Halo: I think it´s time to say good b(u)y to the switchpacks and Mercury! Deal with the stuff as long as it works. Afterwards my be you start a second career as cultural manager " Historical Stage Lighting Museum of Australia". cheers
  12. Hi Kev, there is no way two link Frog desks. What about getting a MAMBO Frog? You should have a look at the MAMBO data sheet. Key features up to 96 Fixtures (Dim or Fixt.) 24 Subs x 20 Pages, 48 SX- Buttons, Playback X= 73 memory playbacks without page switching..... I think the Mambo Frog does fit your wishes 8) best regards
  13. Hi Peter, are you the only operator of the desk? Probably somebodey switched the desk from "Full"- to "Partial" mode or vice versa. Hopefully you have saved your show before that happened...Otherwise you´ll have a slight problem  Please check your OS release. The newest is OS Rel. 9.8 Best regards
  14. Hi Peter, To change the PAN and/or TILT behaviour - you may do this in the general desk setup. There you find an option to "invert" PAN/TILT or swap these. This will have an effect on the whole "show", not for only one memory. Best regards
  15. Hi Gress, I read your problems you wrote down. Can you explain which software release you are using? Is the program mode set to partial? If you like you may send me your actual show via PM and I will have a look into your patch (Scrollers), your palettes and subs. best regards
  16. Hi @ all. I had a few minutes spare....... That´s what I found googling around. www.gprime.net/game.php/bouncefrog2 cheers
  17. Hi Jason, yepp Paul is right! There is no big problem with switching from full to partial mode. The only thing is, programs stored in full mode lose their times. Be aware storing a show will also store ALL parameters of the desk! Even if you have switched your desk into partial mode, a show loaded from disk( programmed in Full Mode) will also change program mode to Full again!!!! 8O cheers
  18. Hi John, well where to start? Okay first answering your question. You should ever have a ps2 keyboard with you. To stop the running loop of fly out cues. type the next cue No. and press enter the next "Go" will start this cue. I don´t understand why you are not programming a chase as advised by Paul. Chase 1. All Fix tagged, Position down, Dim 100%, Shutters closed 2. All tagged, Group Odd active, Shutter open, Position up 3. All tagged, Group Even, Shutter open, Position up, Group Odd Shutter closed 4. Group Odd Position down, Group Even Shutter closed Keep in mind a Memory can be a single scene or a chase! Now set your fades and times that´s all! To answere your statements!!! First of all RTFM!!! Then please erase other desk philosophies. Now you may be ready to get the advantages of a Frog. And once more you are comparing desks which have different prices and in consequence completely other features. After you have done YOUR homework, you can validate or deny your former statements. that´s all for now! regards
  19. Hi Jon, Haytech is right with his answers regarding your questions. I am not sure I understand "fly outs". Okay you do not have predefined effects BUT try to play around with the effects engine which is included in the Position attribute. The newest software release 9.6 allows to save written effects to be saved as palette (Preset on a MA). You may save it also direct to a Submaster as so called "Live Data". Have you tried the different value functions? By holding an attribute button the display shows the actual function. Scrolling the FirstFingerWheel you´ll see the various options 1.Absolute, 2. Relative,3. FanFirst, 4.Fan Middle and 5. FanLast. These options work for every attribute down to channel level. One big difference between Hogs and MA GrandMAs to the Frog series is that you do not have a real "Programmer". Please keep in mind to Home your fixtures and turn down the brightness Attribute before starting to playback your show. As Keith writes I hope this is of help. Please don´t hesitate to contact me for further information.*:-)) best regards
  20. Why drive to Frankfurt....? What about a few nice days in Vienna???* cheers And a big hello to the old home
  21. I had a small look on your site. Congratulations Sam!!!! cheers
  22. Hi Halo, here are some answeres of your questions. 1.) A simple NO!!! The SX Button do have multiple functions depending on what you are doing. First they are playback Button for Memories. Memories can be simple Scenes or Chases. ONE Memory / Button!!! Second they can assigned with so called "Live Data". Life Data is a kind of snap shout of the current DMX output. Third The SX Buttons can be assigned as Group-, Colour-, Beamshape- and Position- Palette. Which gives you up to 48 Groups or Palettes per Attribute. 2.) Think of HTP and LTP channels. HTP= Highest Takes Precedene= Dimmer LTP= Latest Takes Precedene= Everything else except Dimmer/Brightness When your shivas are at full brightness and in this particular Mem. your Macs are not included your MACs will be at zero brightness. Regarding only the shiva Mem is active. Please check if your Mambo is in "Partial Mode". I prefere the SX Buttons as LTP Mems and Positions (also Moving EFX) I bring down the SX Fade to 0. Now only the LTP-Channels do output while activated. I normally use the Submasters storing Brightness for different fixture groups. I hope this is of help. P.S.: There is also a VERY HELPFUL Manual coming with your Mambo Frog!!! best regards
  23. Hi Sam, did you program a scene or a chase memory?
  24. Hi Bobbo, here are a few answeres. 1)Is it possible to copy fixture pallet info (preset/focus) to another fixture number? As far as I know the answer is no! 2)Is there a possibility to add a fade time between pallets, without working from the memories or sub masters? This issue has been discussed earlier in this forum. The actual frog software does not support fadetimes for palettes 3)Is there maybe room on the I-net site so we can set our fixture pallet info on it. So people can exchange them. That´s an interesting point of view, but I think this does not make sense. You are always saving whole shows which include the complete desk data. So you can´t seperate the palette data from the rest of the show. I think you are talking almost of a more detailed fixture lib. Well try the Frog 2 then. 4)A time ago someone said on this forum, that you could change your show name on the pc and than still use it on the console. Yepp, that´s possible. As long as you do not name your show with more than 15 signs. ( K-Nine, please correct me if I am wrong!!! ) If the desk can not read the disk it is almost a crapped disk. cheers
