I think what Haytech means is that after he has stored his movements into the palet, they all work fine, BUT when he starts programming the color and beamshape-pallettes, the position-pallettes lose their movement and become static. Never had that problem before.
-
it is something for FrogII
-
No, it is not possible and if not mistaking it never will be due to the attribute-level programming. It would make the desk too complicated.

Finally found out how to make one

Not once but two times a year we're doing a show in the Horta-hall in Antwerp, they have an elevator but the doors are to small to put a flightcase in, so we have to drag everything (two trucks with equipment)two floors up using the fire-stairs

you have to keep them or K-nine could give us access to the server

Could be that the position parameter is in 'fan middle' mode, if you have this problem again press and hold down the positionbutton and look at the LCD-screen it could say: ABSOLUTE / RELATIVE / FAN-FIRST /FAN-MIDDLE / FAN-LAST, you can change this by holding down the position button and scroll the wheel. It's also possible that pan or tilt is inverted. Check the manual, don't feel like typing a lot today

Hi Ice I think pro_tech means broken, why take the lamps and motors if you can simply take it all, would be to much work
-
No it isn't, it's a standard, not every country has the same plug And for tips: read the manual and the notes

Have a look at this http://www.frogtraining.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ A nice site that Sam made

If it's just to save time, don't buy it! You can't save 2000€ in time as a freelancer, but you can if you are a production-company! -

I can tell that wysiwyg is pretty good, but very expensive! If you need to see more renders check out my site www.prolightdesign.be. The program is not easy to use, but once you understand it's a lovely toy! -
Does the chase start after getting to the home-position?

Thanks ice, will do, oh the bands who are performing: Gunz Roses, Bon Jovi tribute band and KISStory, one of those are from holland maybe you know them don't remember which one and one uses pyrotechnics, think it's KISS, have to find some showmaterial from these bands, saw Bon Jovi in Oostende last year but it wasn't very special, lot's of video and LED, but there is no budget for that -

i'm using wysiwyg, i'm not going to create a lot of renders because the client saw the pics and he was convinced i'm just not sure what coulors to use. just white and 106 or 164,...,128,124??? Any ideas??? Oh, and i'm looking for a 48channel desk, price about 1000€ -
Ok, i've got a show coming up in september, a hardrock-concert, never done it before so i need some ideas i've got 54 PAR64, 8 Mac250, 4 Mac600, 4 x 3000W Strobe, 16 x PAR64 floorspot, 4 x 2000W blinder, 6 x 500W blinder, This is the set-up: stage 8 x 10M

You have to 'change' every parameter so that P1 isn't on the display anymore. With change i mean: scroll the wheel so that the P1 disappears, change the parameter to the required value or put it back to the original value and then program your pallet. It works for me.

Are the wheels stil going to be in the desk? i hope so! And a power on/off switch would be nice

That's my way of programming (for party's only!) K-nine, separate brightness-chases on the faders and the colour/beamshape/position memories on the sx-buttons. So when you are programming, just program everything with the HTP-data, copy your memories to the sx-buttons and put the sx-fader @ 0. is the htp-data still going to be recorded on the frog2 or do we get to choose?

We always try to keep the sound/light/ controls on sepperate powerlines, and it is always possible that some fool (there is always one) pulls out the wrong plug to charge his mobile,...
-
Maybe you can also add an integrated UPS which ensures approximately 30 minutes operation when you have a power failure like the SGM regia2048. (if you have the space for it)
-
Ok, an offline pragrammer would be very nice (i have one(wysiwyg)) but remember only the basic is visible, colour, gobo, prism so you could program the rather simple memories, if you need to program positions, or prismrotation, or goborotation, don't bother, it will always look different on stage, blablabla The reason i bought wysiwyg is not the offline programming, helpful of course, it is to create different lighting looks, change the stagelayout in order to get lighting looks much better than before, try out different colours and create complex positions which is not possible using the mouse and then render the image to show it to your client as a little preview or to persuade him to get you to do the job and no one else. I think it's better to put your time into the desk-functions instead of putting it in an application that you won't even use after some time. Just like a child, when it get's a new toy it's happy times but he will get bored after some time and start nagging about a new toy... A wysiwyg-application, using only 512 dmx-channel will cost you 4000€ for soft and hardware. Tooooo expensive to put it in a desk and it will take away lots of the processor's capacity running complex shows!!!! I just want a good desk for it's price, that's all folks!!!

So you can also simply select all the needed fixtures and set up the parameters which is faster, or am i missing something here?
