Thanks. The PSU is the original one. The desk never leave the control room, it has never fall or something. It has been returned to the dealer of course, we are on good terms. But has a said, the brand has disappeared from Axente's, which was the main distributor in France... that’s what I’m worried about. Normally they are the ones who take care of the repairs.

@iank99 the console is still under warranty, so I can't do anything myself. The last problem comes from the fact that the screen turns off by itself and the intensities suddenly go to zero, and then it restarts by itself... of course during a show ^^ that's life, i'm not blaming the brand for that.

Sorry but i'm a little bit "scared" too... i own a FLX S 48 2U since 2022. I work in a theatre. The upgrades are interesting but since i bought it, I've had three breakdowns in two years (1 MFF, 2 screen problems). It has been repaired each time but I have less confidence now. I was thinking about buying a FLX to replace my FLX-S, but it seems FLX is nearing the end of its life... The brand has even disappeared from the Axente's website, which until today was the distributor in France. Seriously, I don't want to start a pointless controversy. Until today I was confident with the brand and its products, but I am starting to have serious doubts about my next model of lightning desk.

Yes, just tested this afternoon. It works great. I'm doing a lot of different things in our venue (all the tasks i should say) as many of members i guess ^^ It's not easy to have time to dig deep in all manual (sound, light, video devices, etc.). So thanks again For the tips ! The workflow will be much more fluid now.

Hi, I actually have a FLX S48 2U and i will purchase a FLX this year. As the FLX (and also the S48) as only one ethernet connexion, i'd like to know if there is a way to do the following : - Add a Node (an Netron Obsidian EN4) to extend universes - AND add a router to have access to my tablet The problem is in the question : only one ethernet connexion on the console. Ça arrive avec une install toute fraiche sans importer de show ? Ou ça arrive après avoir importé un show ? Aussi, vos câbles DMX sont branchés à la machine pendant l'install/redémarrage ?

@kgallen to be precise, the screen problem was with 7.13 and certain touchscreen (i have a iiyama. They were aware of this). The zoom problem (inverted wheel) is with 7.14. With RJ45 and modem, it appears time to time, and it freeze the command, whatever version. I never use a modem/RJ45 live for this reason. @delfine il n'y a aucun soucis à repasser à une version antérieure. Ça ne causera aucun dégâts. Je l'ai fait plein de fois c'est 100 % sûr. Les versions sont téléchargeables sur le site donc s'il y avait un soucis, Zero88 ne les mettrai pas à dispo ^^ Ça permet justement de revenir en arrière si on a un problème avec une version. C'est juste qu'on ne bénificie pas temporairement des avancées faites sur la dernière version, en attendant que les bug soient corrigés, si ce sont bien des bugs. Je n'ai jamais eu le problème que vous avez. En revanche j'ai déjà eu 1 fois des tranches (fader) avec des diodes qui ne s'allumaient plus, avec fader inutilisable. Ça a été retour direct chez Axente pour envoyer en réparation. J'ai la chance d'avoir eu une console de prêt par mon prestataire.

Non ça ne risque rien. La console va être réinitialisée. Y a juste à uploader le 7.13 à partir d'une clé, ça va écraser les mémoires ou le show contenu dans la console, virer tous les projecteurs patchés et c'est tout. Y a plus qu'à charger un show ou à repatcher des projecteurs, etc, etc. Perso je remets tous les fade à 0 secondes, je vire le RDM et rygsync, et 2-3 autres bidouilles. Chacun ses habitudes ^^ En tout cas non, ça ne risque rien. Juste que ça vire tous ce qui est en cours dans la console.

Bonjour, Dans un premier temps, ce que je ferai (et ce que j'ai fait aussi à la 1ère MáJ), c'est repasser à la 7.13, et tester plus tard la version beta. J'ai eu aussi des soucis avec l'écran tactile qui ne marchait plus, des paramètres asservis inversés (zoom de mes ledbeam sur les roues encodeuses inversés) et blocages que j'avais pas avant (avec un modem en RJ45 branché dessus pour l'app).

Thanks a lot @Edward Z88 for the data sheet. It's a good reminder. As i said, i'll emulate the FLX console with Capture to see how the waveforms work with the moving lights we have. I think i'll also test it "live" because a theatre close to us have a FLX console. They had a Solution XL before. Thanks again guys for the advices. I'll let you know. I hope there will be an unboxing for early 2024 😅

Ça m'a bien facilité l'approche du Software. Je suis l'aise à la lecture/écoute de l'anglais mais j'avoue que du contenu en français c'est pas mal non plus ^^ Pour en revenir à nos moutons, effectivement je n'ai pas cité l'écran tactile, j'ai un 23" dont je ne pourrais me passer ! J'ai également une licence éducative Capture 2023. Donc je simule aussi avant de faire mes montages et focus. J'ai un PC qui tourne à côté. Premièrement, pour ce qui concerne l'ergonomie, le confort de travail : - Aucun doute. Il est clair que la FLX est nettement au dessus avec ses raccourcis et boutons directs, programmables, la syntaxe à portée de main avec le pavé, etc... Deuxièmement, les 4 univers et la connectivité USB etc : - Clairement je peux étendre la S48 mais la encore la FLX se place au dessus Troisièmement, la gestion des asservis : - Là je vais émuler la console car je me rend pas bien compte de la différence dans la "customisation" et gestion des effets. J'aimerai plus de liberté et pouvoir créer mes propres effets, même si la FLX ou la FLX S ne sont pas à la hauteur (pour les asservis selon moi) d'autres consoles typées live comme les EOS xe20 ou grandMA. C'est surtout sur ce dernier point que j'aimerai éclaircir. Sinon dernière question pour @van den abbeele Eric vu que tu l'utilises depuis longtemps. Même si globalement tu en es satisfait, est-ce qu'il y a une fonctionnalité ou quelque chose qui te manque ou qui t'empêche de faire comme tu voudrais ? C'est vague comme question mais c'est plus pour pointer "le point noir" sur cette console. I also have a Capture 2023 educational license. So I also simulate before doing my rigging and focus. I have a labtop running nearby. First point > ergonomics, working comfort: - No doubt. It is clear that the FLX is clearly above with its direct, programmable shortcuts and buttons, easy syntax with the pad, etc... Secondly > the 4 universes and connectivity: - Clearly I can extend the S48 universe but again the FLX is placed above Thirdly > management of moving lights: - I am going to emulate the console because I don't really realize the difference in the "customization" and effects management. I would like more freedom and to be able to create my own effects, even if the FLX or FLX S are not up to par (in my opinion) with other live consoles like the EOS xe20 or grandMA. It is especially on this last point that I would like to clarify. Otherwise, last question for @van den abbeele Eric since you've been using it for a long time. Even if overall you're happy with it, is there a feature or something you're missing or preventing you from doing what you want?
