  2. Nope that's impossible, but you could use a walk-around for that I think. You've got the Bull Frog with 1/12 = Mac 250 and 13/24 = mac 300 which have the same pallets (same colour for the same kind of fixture). Now you edit your fixture assignment and place macs 250's to 1/6 and macs300 to 7/12 (leave the 300's on 13/24 there!). Now return to your show and copy the pallets from fixture 13 (mac 300) to all macs 300 on 7/12. This way they should have the correct pallets and your configuration is done. Now save that new show to a disk and the Fat Frog will have 1/6 Mac250 and 7/12 Mac300!
  3. It is possible to copy pallets, I just forgot how Use the search, maybe you'll find it.
  4. I wonder how many operators really use the FROG function. I only use it when I'm really, really lazy that night
  5. Found a small bug: [*]create about 10 different chases (I don't know if scene's will produce the same effect) [*]copy the first chase to submaster 1-1 [*]copy the second one to submaster 2-1 [*]repeat these steps a few times and you'll notice the memories screen crashes; you can't go up or down anylonger! It's easily solved by pressing the submasters button and memory button again, but I thought this should be mentioned here. I found the problem: first press tranfer no time, and then raise the submaster page; the memories screen will crash
  6. I don't know if I'm mistaken here, but it seems to me the Fat Frog in Phantom Frog has one extra button? There is a button above the home button which doesn't do anything :? It doesn't have a label so I bet this is somewhat of a mistake. I'm not sure, does a Fat Frog have a fixture group button or not? And check this one out: click happend while pressing the scene/chase button :? Lost everything I'd programmed

    Chase modifiers

Live adjustment gives the same error... If I start the chase it should be set at manual (it is), pressing once sets it to auto instead of bass/man.

    Chase modifiers

Playback X, haven't tried it from submasters Phantom Frog does it too: create a 2 step chase and set it to the manual modifier. After that set the modifier to something different than manual; starting the chase will set it to manual again. Now press it and you'll see it hops to auto instead of bass/man I expected.
  9. I now see that the new 11 version is released, so maybe you're right. That would definitely be a bad thing since I just want the perform 500 version. The Dutch retailers still have it in their pricelists, so I'll see if it's still available. Otherwise I'll try to find it secondhand. I know you've got to have the hardware for it, but I already do so, so I don't need to buy new stuff.
  10. When using the bass/man modifier for chases it's possible to tap like a soundtech. would do on his delays. Now the soundies also have a knob to pitch up or down the speed just a little bit, for compensating a small error you made without tapping again. So turning it all the way left would leave the set speed at 95%, and right at 105% for instance. Could such a feature be implemented? And still: after some days of programming work I've been doing: the number of 24 pallets sucks and should really be extended to 48 somehow Any chance we can see a list of feature request/bug fixes which are already on the list of to-do's for the next update?
  11. I created some chases with the drive modifier set to manual. Now when I run that chase the modifier goes to manual as expected, but when I press it once, it then switches to auto while I'd expect it would go to bass/man. To get to bass/man I have to press it until it's on manual again, after that it'll go to bass/man as expected. Bug?
  12. I don't agree with that. 1: The prices you mention aren't correct. The 500 Perform version costs 3195 (from Cast website). 2: You don't need the Wyg-it 2 box if I'm not mistaken. The perform version should be equiped with a dongle? 3: It's definitely possible to create an accurate rig. If you've got a good plot of your theatre and you write down the heights you're using the simulation is very realistic. Okay; you do need to edit your position pallets a little bit, but that's just physics. 4: I can pre-program an entire show, and get it up and running with only a quart hour of programming time to adjust position pallets. That's impossible when you're not pre-programming. It's the way you use the system I guess, and not for every purpose pre-programming is needed / useful; that's true. If you mainly do band gigs and use the same colour chasers etc, don't buy the software. If you do different theatre shows and don't have much time in the theatre itself; the software's damn great! Same goes for the larger festivals etc. By the way; if you don't like it; I'll buy it Also I still want to test Frog2 before even thinking of buying one (in due time...) so I'd definitely go with the WYSIWYG
  13. If thought the AVO software was available for download for free, or am I wrong?
  14. You're right twice! 1: It's not possible (at least not that I know of) 2: It's a damn cool feature! I've got a "pauze" scene I use in between sets or festival changes etc. If I want to change something there I'd have to change it, and then copy it again to every place it occurs. Such a link function would be great. I solved it in a different way though: using the jump to jump back to the same memory after the last song of the setlist. But I don't think that's a solution for your problem.
  15. It's been already mentioned here, but you should consider an automove function. When the desk is set to automove fixtures will automatically change to the next set of LTP parameters when the brightness is programmed (not manual!) to 0. Now I program my settings like this: - scene 1 - scene 1 with movers @ 0 - scene 2 with new LTP parameters for the movers, brightness still 0 - scene 2 with brightness to make fluent fades from one scene into another. If you could program a workaround for these kinds of things, that would be great.

    Editing mode

Could've been an autotrigger, don't know exactly But o.k. when it's logged; the following update was scheduled for the beginning of 2k5 if I'm not mistaken, when can we expect it?
  17. I found out, after a long night of programming that whilst editing one chase it's possible to go to the next one, the console doesn't mind and starts editing the next chase. Don't think that was meant to happen Just edit a chase, and press go while your in it, the console will start editing that one (at least it did so half an hour ago).

    SMPTE/MIDI/CAN DMX in

I didn't notice it before I guess, but why is there the possibility to use USB for updating / saving and also a CD/RW drive? I doubt many users are really going to save on a CD when you've got the possibility to write to your pendrive?
  19. That's the same idea I mentioned with the "pipo's", although you don't have to use a gobo with those, just use the blades to make a vertical beam. Try not to focus on the rear of the stage, when the light hits your scenery or horizon the audience will know how the effect was made, and it will therefore lose it's credibility. The color use is very important in these kind of sceme's That's a cold blue color (LEE Full C.T. Blue) you can use for front lighting, U could also LEE196 though I don't know how that acts in the front.
  20. When using pallets you don't have to watch the ouputs. I rarely use the fixture details screen under F1&Fixture button because it tells you nothing... okay you're getting the list of attributes, and the color is at DMX value 58. Yippie-ka-yee i don't need that info Now if you could process the color specifications from the fixture files there..
  21. You're right Patrick... damn, I thought I knew quite a lot when it comes to English, guess I'm wrong . Maybe the haven't even got a portaalburg, it doesn't seem to be a standard in other countries. First LX bar would do, if you take notice of the fact that's not the ones above the audience u use for frontlighting . This: http://www.strandarchive.co.uk/lanterns/p23.html is what's called a pipo here There quite old, but most theatre's have still got a bunch and for these kind of puproses there absolutely great.
  22. Blue backlight, 201 front, play with a breakup gobo from above and you're almost there. If you've got the chance, get some pipo's (i dont know if they're called like that in english?) and set them up in vertical bars from the... eeeh... don't know how that's called either I mean the place you use for your toplight (babelfish translates as "portal bridge" but I don't know if that's correct?). Play with the image that creates on your horizon and you should make something cool... I've got some pics of such a thing: Design by M.Satter, not me... (we just do the sound there)

Maybe all the pallets could have a list of items which contain that pallet. That way the console doesn't have to search items that would change, but just look them up in the list.

I think you mis-read my question I mean: program a pallet using only fixtures 1&2. Now home data and make sure that no fixtures were tagged. Now select fixtures 1,2&3 and bring up the pallet. Will only fixtures 1&2 be tagged, or will all fixtures be affected? The 3'rd one should also stay at the home parameters right?
  25. Yeah, how about OS version 9.7 or something?
