  1. Or even Recording a show file as we don't really work at code level.
  2. Is it possible to find out what version ZerOS was used when recoding a show file on a FLX S desk please ?
  3. There is no mention of USB Thumbdrive limitations in the software release notes. There is a mention in this recent FLX forum post https://www.zero88.com/forum/topic/7320-usb-memory-sticks-compatible-with-flx/
  4. I have used the eDMX4 Configuration utility to set my eDMX4 PRO IP Address to 192.168.0.1, Subnet Mask to 255.255.0.0, which is my FLXS48 settings, Default Gateway to 192.168.0.1 , then connected the eDMX4 PRO to my FLXS48 network port. In Setup > Universes > IP Address I have set Static IP Address. I have patched a device to universes 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Art-Net 4 settings, but I do not have any data to my eDMX4 PRO yet and none of the four port led's are lit. Any suggestions on what step I have missed out please ? eDMX4 PRO User Manual (EN).pdf
  5. I am using a zoom wash LED mover to light actors walking along an aisle for entrances and exits in a music hall. The home position of the mover is at the foyer end of the aisle and it has been rigged so positive tilt moves it along the aisle towards the stage steps. Using times movements is not working so I need manual control of tilt. How do I put tilt onto a playback fader to allow manual position to light the actor? I need two faders, one to move the light towards the stage steps for entrances, and one to move the mover towards the foyer exits? Thanks for your suggestions.
  6. I find the FLXS24 needs an external monitor for easier use, this forum article may help Monitor for Flx 24 . It is for the FLXS24. I use a laptop with a cross connect cable. You can use a monitor with a mouse and keyboard connected to the FLXS24 USB port.
  7. There are training videos on the Zero88 Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/zero88 , some cover FLX and FLXS. I have attached a quick guide I wrote for year 10 production students that covers most used items when they are starting to use a FLXS24. FLXS24 SHOW GUIDE.pdf
  8. Then put a label on the fixtures. identifying the model number and dmx channel version.
  9. We have installed 5 of these Dell P2418HT 24" touch screen monitors with FLXS48 but just out of you price range in UK, Might find a better price locally. We are waiting for them to come back into stock, might be August this year.
  10. Barndoors are very useful for any backlight Ovation F 3.25" Barndoor , rotate the barndoor so the wide flap is at the top. Although the other 3 flaps are not used, it helps stop most of the audience being distracted with the light source.
  11. It is more reliable to run non RDM fixtures from the XLR3 socket on the FLXS48 if you are only using one universe as the DMX receive timing of some equipment cannot handle RDM. Jon Hole mentioned in a post on 24 November 2017
  12. We have been using the Dell P2418HT touch screen monitor with the FLXS48 but there is no stock available in Australia for at least a few months. Is there an alternative? I have tried my HP Pavilion 23tm and the touch screen does not work, plus an acer that did not work.
  13. I have found that occasionally when I take a USB drive from my FLXS24 and put it into the PC to update files, windows has to repair the USB drive. I have not noticed a cause yet as it does not happen very often.
  14. Are your fixtures set to retain current state if loss of DMX occurs ? I have had desks lock up on occasions, I unplug the DMX out cable, restart the desk, go back to the current cue, plug in the DMX cable and the patrons are not aware of the lockup. Does not work at venues where loss of DMX results in a blackout !
  15. What addresses are the fixtures set to ? There is a topic that recommends patching fixtures above DMX250 if there is timing issues.
  16. To get a list or printout of the channels of a fixture file I have been viewing the file in the fixture editor then I use the Microsoft Snipping Tool to save it so it can be printed out.
  17. DMX512 is a serial protocol that has to be connected in a daisy chain, so as kgallen says you go from the 5 pin or 3 pin output of your FLXS24 to the first light dmx in, then from the dmx out connect a cable to the next lights dmx in etc. When you first use the FLXS24 it will have RigSync enabled , which is Zero88's name for Remote Device Management. Rigsync will search for any fixtures that have RDM capability, the COLORado Batten Q15 has RDM so the FLXS24 should be able to automatically patch the fixtures onto channel faders. Zero88 RDM RDM and DMX video. RigSync does not always work, I have Huayinlight HY-P186S 6in1 led par's that have non compliant RDM so it does not work with them. Your COLORado Batten Q15 is a pixel batten, that is you can control each of the 15 LED's individually if the lighting controller can support pixel control, but the ZerOS operating system will not be able to until the next version. The common work around for this is to patch in 15 separate fixtures. I do not see the COLORado Batten Q15 in the current library so you would have to request a fixture file be made up for the Batten Q15. In the Batten Q15 manual, there is a Mode chart on page 19. If you set the Batten Q15 to 1 Simple (4 Channels) RGBW you can patch the Batten Q15 as Generic LED-RGBW to get it working.
  18. Thank you for providing links to legacy equipment, when Philips bought out Selecon, we lost access to a lot of manuals and lighting support articles that were ideal for schools, this trend continued with other brands.😦
  19. There is a ZerOS Troubleshooting section in the online manual https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/trouble-shooting which mentions the ZerOS Startup Tool https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/trouble-shooting/zeros-startup-tool which tells you to Plug in a USB keyboard, and turn your console on. Immediately keep tapping the F1 key. I had to use this once and it worked, Edward told me about it.
  20. You could play back the old cue stack in PhantomZerOS so you can see what is in the cue you want to copy and record it into your current show. Not sure where you would find earlier versions of PhantomZerOS to load in shows from earlier version show files.
  21. This was in a post November last year, useful to have RDM and Non RDM outputs. FLX S has two outputs - a 3pin and a 5pin. If you have a 1 Universe FLX S, by default both ports will output the same DMX data, but the 5pin will include RDM and the 3pin won't include RDM. This behavior can be changed in SETUP > Inputs & Outputs.
  22. I am trying to make up a list of Lee Mood Boards that are on the FLX S as a cross reference sorted by gel numbers and gel name. I have managed to get a spread sheet sorted, but next step is to add swatch colours. Here is results so far. It shows the use of colours in different moods. 23. Hello Edward Some of my LED Zoom Washes go from Spot to Wide for DMX 000 to 255, the others go from Wide to Spot. My preference is Spot to Wide so it is easier to see the beam position on a stage. The fixture file for my 7x12w RGBW 4in1 LED Moving Head has the Zoom selected in Special, but there is no Invert Zoom option showing in Add Fixtures or when using the Fixture. There is Pan/Tilt Invert options available in Add Fixtures. Is it possible to have a Zoom Invert function available without having two different fixture files for the Zoom Wash which has 10 CH and 15 CH DMX modes.
  24. Hello Edward I am working my way through the ALL_UNBRANDED.ift and I opened up an Image Manager. Is this a stand alone program that I can use to add gobo pictures to my moving head profiles? Thanks Don
  25. This has not worked with the console. Tried a while back and it did not work but did not follow up on it, used another touch screen monitor at the time. Input devices only lists USB keyboard, USB mouse, FT5406 memory based driver. Does not appear to be compatible with FLX S. I have emailed you the Input Devices picture.
