  1. Thanks Edward. I've installed the beta and, touch wood, so far USB operation seems stable again. I'll test more today. Thanks for your support.
  2. Any update on this Edward? We're very keen to try out the beta version. A further development is that the issue of losing USB function is not limited to programming submasters. Eventually it will just stop working but as long as no submasters are programmed, USB loading and saving seems to be restored by turning the console off and on again. This isn't the case if submasters have bene programmed: as I've previously mentioned, the only way to restore USB function in that case is to delete the submasters.
  3. Thanks Edward. Please add me to the beta test group, I'd like to give the beta a try.
  4. Thanks Mathias. We can make this problem happen really easily on our desk. Starting even with an empty show and all submaster programming removed, if we start programming submasters, after about 3 or 4 (sometimes less, sometimes more) submasters are programmed we suddenly lose the ability to load or save from USB. Sometimes deleting the submaster programming will get USB back, sometimes we have to delete submasters and restart the desk. Needless to say it's fairly unworkable.
  5. Mathias, Did your problem get solved? We've encountered the very same thing only with our LeapFrog96 console not even restarting brings the USB back. However, I have discovered we can get USB working again by deleting all submaster programming and then rebooting. Then the USB is accessible again but gradually as we program the submasters again, eventually USB disappears.
  6. Thanks Edward. I followed the steps and the device does appear in the USB devices list when plugged in. Hitting Refresh on the Load/Save pages does nothing: still says <No Destination Devices> Neil
  7. Also tried copying the .isf files from the USB stick (for safety), reformatting the USB and then copying just one .isf back to it. Still not recognised by the desk. Is there a way to backup our fixtures? We have a big show at the weekend. This couldn't have happened at a worse time
  8. Leapfrog96 with 7.9.4 USB stick is the Zero88 branded one that came with the desk. Have tried other USB sticks (FAT32) and it doesn't read those either. Have also tried plugging the mouse into the front panel USB but the mouse still works OK.
  9. We've just had the same problem. Updated to latest OS a couple of weeks ago, now it fails to recognise the USB drive in any of the USB sockets. Help! If we do a factory restore will it wipe out all of the fixtures?
  10. Yep, works exactly like that now. Thanks for your help.
  11. Ah, might be onto something! The blank show I was using still had several submasters programmed from the old OS. I've cleared everything and now I can program a submaster as described I guess something in the conversion was overriding anything new I was trying to program, or maybe a conversion bug? Thanks for your assistance.
  12. Trigger on Raise is enabled. So from a blank show if I do this: - set faders for a bunch of generics - press Record then the button of submaster 1 I should be able to fade in that state with submaster 1 fader? Or am I missing something? This is the way we used to have, say our house and gangway lights setup so we could fade them all up or down with 1 fader. It's this functionality that doesn't seem to work any more. I accept that I could be misunderstanding how it works with the new scheme.
  13. Thanks Edward. I think there's something more fundamental that we're missing here, regardless of whether the show files are converting. Even with a blank show we still can't just save a lighting state to a submaster and then use it in any meaningful way. The only thing that occurred to me was whether the desk has to be in Tracking mode. We mostly don't use it and so our desk is set to not track. Is that why we can't use the submasters? Working my way through that manual you linked to but haven't discovered anything revelatory so far. Thanks again for the quick responses.
  14. Thanks for the quick reply and the link to the updated manual, Edward. The video is the one we've been watching already. Would our old shows be converted AND saved automatically when we load them? We've not explicitly re-saved any of our old shows yet, being cautious because of the few issues we've had with the submasters.
  15. We've recently updated our LeapFrog 96 to OS 7.9.4 (been putting it off for a long time) and the conversion of shows from 7.8 has broken most of our submaster functionality. We've been struggling with it for a few days now as we're finding it impossible to recreate even the most basic function e.g. using a submaster to control the dimmer on a generic. We've even tried with a completely new empty show and it still won't work. In the apparent absence of any update to the manual (we've watched the 7.9 youtube video), could you help us with the basic steps to get us back on track? From the YouTube video you posted up regarding the update changes, it would seem you would just set the generics faders, hit Record, select the submaster, then set the second state of the generic faders and hit Record and select the submaster again. Nothing happens when we do this - the submaster fader has no effect on the dimmers. Thanks
