  1. Hi Alex, Yep, exciting stuff! A preview (not release yet) of what's to come later this year! All the best, Edward
  2. Hi Jonno, How are you recording cues using ZerOS Remote Monitor for Windows? There is no hot key mapped for RECORD? When RECORD has been pressed on the console, you can however choose a playback to store onto using the Faders window. If the faders window isn't open on the ZerOS Remote Monitor, ensure that the console has External Monitor Enabled (tap SETUP -> System Settings -> External Monitor -> Enabled), and tap VIEW. When this is displayed you can tap RECORD, and tap a virtual playback to store onto. You can also type a defined cue number, before choosing the playback to store onto. Hope this helps, Edward
  3. Hi Matthew, This is currently not a feature of ZerOS Remote Monitor, however we could look to implement this. You should however find that the consoles automatically appear in the list? You should also find that when connecting to a console manually you don't need to enter a name - this is purely for reference. An IP address and password is required. All the best, Edward
  4. Hi Eric, That's correct. The base FLX has 4 universes of DMX output, therefore 2 of these DMX universes could be from the XLR connectors, and the other universes could be transmitted using Art-Net over an Ethernet network. Hope this helps, Edward
  5. Hello, Thank you for your clarification. Apologies, it appears that this information in the manual is incorrect as per ZerOS 7.9.4 (which is the current release software for FLX S). To instead allow your cues to run automatically using the cue timings you defined, you'll need to revert the playback from a chase back to a normal cue stack. This can be done from the playback settings, under the Chase tab. When you have done this, you can then go into the cue settings for each cue within the playback, and configure automatic timings. For more information on this, take a look at the article below... http://support.zero88.com/1011580341 Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward
  6. Hi Jeroen, A good solution for this would be to allow the fader to control the colour transition. To do this, go into the settings of your second playback. To do this hold SETUP and tap the playback’s button. Then, under Fader Controls, select Colour, so it has a red stripe next to it. Then click OK, and you’ll now find that raising this fader scales colour into the recorded value. ZerOS 7.9.5

Hi Eric, Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your reluctance to use beta software on live shows. It is worth mentioning that show files are always designed to be forwards compatible including in beta software, and when loading into older software versions, you will be notified if anything couldn’t be loaded. All the best, Edward

    Wing

Hello, Yes it is possible to connect ENTTEC wings over a network, however not ZerOS Wings via USB as these require a later version of ZerOS. ENTTEC Wings can be configured in Setup, under the Wings section. You will need to ensure the console has an IP address in the same range as any Wings you wish to connect with. If you have any queries let me know. Edward
  9. Hi Gino, Please could you send this information to our dedicated Fixture Support email address, at fixturesupport@zero88.com, where one of the team will be able to take a look and see what the problem is. Let me know if you have any queries. Edward
  10. No worries! Just let us know if you need anything else. Edward

    Time Display

Hi Martin, No problem, let me know if you have any queries. Edward
  12. Hello, If you would like the steps of your chase to fade, you will need to adjust the cross fade intensity percentage for the chase, not the cue fade times. They are purely there for if you revert the chase back to a normal cue stack. The Chase Settings can be accessed by holding SETUP, and tap your chase’s button. Also in the chase settings you can define a BPM of 0-600. If you don’t want your defined BPM to change, I’d recommend changing the playback button function. You can do that in the General playback settings, where you can tap “Tap Tempo” to disable the button overriding your defined BPM speed. Hope this helps, Edward

    Time Display

Hi Martin, If you tap this part of the screen, it will toggle between the different console times, including MIDI Timecode and Real time. Therefore tap/click there to get back to the real time clock. Hope this helps, Edward
  14. Hello, No problem, glad you solved the issue. Edward
  15. Hi Martin, As soon as you go into a cue with a Playback Trigger/Release, the command is sent and triggers will use the cue fade up time, and releases will use cue fade down time. Therefore in your scenario, the chase will fade out using the cue down time and release, and the next chase will fade up over the up time. Hope this helps, Edward
  16. Hi James, Ah great, glad to hear you solved the issue. No problem at all, if you have any queries just let us know. All the best, Edward
  17. Hi James, Are you seeing these values displayed as blue in the output window when you power the desk on? If this is still causing problems, please send us a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and we'll be able to take a look. Edward

    ZerOS 7.9.5

Hi Eric, Sorry to hear your frustrations. I can't remember whether you are part of our beta test group? If not, you are more than welcome to drop us an email to support@zero88.com requesting to be added to the beta test group, if this is something that may be of interest. This will give you access to the latest beta software. Internally at the time of writing we are currently testing ZerOS 7.9.4.31. We are hoping to release another beta soon for beta testers to get the latest preview of ZerOS 7.9.5. The current beta software available for our beta testers is ZerOS 7.9.4.25. This already includes the ability to change fixture defaults, home values, and max levels on FLX S consoles. Support for what we call composite fixtures is being worked on, but there is no preview of this as yet, and no release date. If you have any further queries do feel free to post, or email me directly. All the best, Edward
  19. Hello, When the console powers up and this playback is output, what does the Output Window display for this fixture? If the fixture is displaying 100%, and when selected colour is reporting 5600K, then it sounds like the console is outputting the correct information to the fixture. If you pull the playback down, and push it back up, does the fixture then come on? If you push the playback up, select the fixture, turn it on to 100% (2 @@ is a shortcut for this), is it on in the correct colour temperature? If so tap UPDATE, and tap your playback button to add the fixture into the playback. If it helps, feel free to send a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com with a description of the problem, and one of the team will be able to take a look and get back to you. Hope this helps, Edward
  20. Hello, To reset the console, these are the keys you'll need to press: Enter Setup, by holding SHIFT and holding MODE, then Arrow down 10 times, and press ENTER. Then Arrow right, and press Enter, which will reset the console. Then hold MODE to leave Setup. To change the Main LCD contrast, again enter Setup, then arrow up 5 times, and press ENTER. Then press ENTER, and hold the up arrow to raise the Back light, and press ENTER. Then arrow down, and press ENTER, and then hold the up arrow to raise the contrast. You should then be able to see your way out of the menus. You may find that using Phantom Jester on PC helps you find your way around the menu structure. Phantom Jester allows you to emulate Jester ML24 on your PC. You can download Phantom Jester for PC here... http://support.zero88.com/975199911 Hope this helps, if you have any queries let me know. Edward
  21. Hi Martin, I’ve had a quick look at your show file, and there’s definitely something strange going on. There’s nothing in your programming that is causing the issue. I will have to do more investigating. Edward
  22. No problem, let me know how you get on. Edward
  23. Hi Martin, If you are viewing the cues recorded as a chase in the cue list window, the fade times you see are not used for chases. These times are purely there for if you were to revert the playback from a chase to a cue stack. Therefore adjusting these won’t effect your chase. Instead go into the settings of your chase, ensure Cross Fade is selected, and then enter an intensity fade percentage. If you enter a colour percentage, do you find this solves the issue? If you are seeing a white intensity value in the output window, it means that channel has been blocked. Basically in this scenario it sounds like in cue 1 of the chase fixture 2 has been given hard values of white, which means that as you fade down from cue 2 to cue 1 you see the colour change. If you’d like one of the team to take a look at your show file, please send us an email to support@zero88.com with it attached, and we’ll be able to take a look and give you an explanation of what’s causing the isssue. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any queries. Edward
  24. Hi Martin, OK, let us know how you get on. All the best, Edward
  25. Hi Martin, Yes that's correct. For the Pi to receive Art-Net from FLX, it must be in the same range. Therefore choose either the 2.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x address on FLX, and assign the Pi an address in the same range. An example if FLX is on the 10.x.x.x range, could be an IP on the Pi of 10.1.1.1 with a subnet of 255.0.0.0. The Pi will have two NICs (Network Interface Cards), one for the RJ45 port and the other for WiFi. Therefore the RJ45 port can be configured on the 10.x.x.x range and the wireless can be set to DHCP. You should find that if your access point has an Ethernet switch built in to allow the FLX and Pi to be connected, that the Art-Net information will be routed correctly. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any queries. Edward
