I don't understand thats in Solution

For Solution consoles, tap Other Windows (found top left of the Output Window), then from the drop down choose System Info. Then press System Text. When you open Capture on your PC, and you are using CITP, you should see your PC’s name and IP address listed in System Text, with the connection status.

    Hope this helps,

  2. Hello,

To fade colours between steps of a chase, hold SETUP and tap the Chase’s button. This will open the chase’s settings. To achieve a full colour cross fade between each step of the chase, select the Colour Fade percentage, and type 100%.

higher the fader is the brighter the lights (colors) are

If the colour saturation is being adjusted by the fader level, this means Fader controls colour is enabled for the chase. For the colour fades to work correctly, you will need to ensure fader controls colour is disabled. To do this in the Chase’s settings, tap General, and ensure colour has a blue stripe, indicating disabled.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

  3. Hi Roger,

It would be worth checking the Firewall settings for the Capture application on your PC. Ensure Capture is allowed to communicate through the Firewall.

To do this open Control Panel, and go to Firewall settings.

On your console, when your PC is connected, tap Z -> System Information -> System Text. When you open Capture on your PC, your PC's name and IP address should be displayed, and the console should report that Capture is connected.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

  4. Hi Raffa,

We will not be able to make a fixture file from this information.

We need the DMX traits and channel map, that state what each of the 16 DMX control channels does.

If you do find this please email fixturesupport@zero88.com, and we'll be able to make the file for you.

I believe Keith replied to your original email with an existing fixture file that he guessed may give you control over the fixture - I'm assuming this didn't work?

If you can't find the information, you can patch 16 dimmer channels, and work through each one making a note of how it controls the fixture. This method is always difficult with fixtures with shutter parameters as well as dimmers and colour mixing, as many channels have to be at certain levels to get light output.

  5. Hi Oli,

Have the fixtures been daisy chained in order of DMX addresses? If so swap one of the working fixtures with one that isn't, leaving their DMX addresses the same.

If you loose control of the working one, and gain control over the other, there is an issue with the DMX line. If you have a DMX terminator to hand it would be worth connecting to the DMX out of the last fixture.

Am we doing someting wrong or is there any restriction?

On FLX S24, your control capabilities are a maximum of 48 fixtures, with either 1or 2 universes of patchable DMX channels available, depending on whether you have a 1 or 2 universe variant.

    Hope this helps,

    Edward

  6. Hi Roger,

I would recommend trying the Capture files in the article below...

    http://support.zero88.com/1004254221

The article details how to configure a PC's network settings to allow for Capture to communicate with the console.

Once you have done this, and prove this works, you can then use your custom visualisation software and show file, using the same network configuration.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

  7. Hi David,

    Really sorry to hear this.

What happened when you booted the console that required you to power cycle? Please could you send any screen shots and the show file to support@zero88.com

Kevin - for reference the console was running ZerOS 7.9.6.

If you have any questions let us know.

  8. Hi Rachael,

Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum.

This can be done on FLX S48, however only by using an external keyboard.

If for example you wanted to copy cues 1 through to 10, and paste them in cues 51 through to 60, you can tap Copy (found by pressing Z/Shift), and type 1>10 in the "From" field, and type 51 in the "To" field.

The cues will be copied. To then remove cues 1 through to 10, you can type DELETE 1 THRU 10, followed by pressing the playback button that these cues are stored onto. The console will then ask you to confirm deleting these cues.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know.

  9. Hello,

Effects can’t be turned into chases. Cue stacks can be turned into chases. As effects are recorded as single cues, effects can be steps of a chase.

To control the speed of an effect, you can use the Speed Override control. To do this hold SETUP and tap an empty playback’s button. From the options choose Speed Override.

This fader will then control whichever playback you are viewing. So to control the speed of your effect, hold VIEW and tap your effect playback’s button. You can then use the fader to speed up or slow down the effect.

    Hope this helps,

    Edward

  10. Hello,

Firstly, welcome to the Zero 88 Forum.

I would like to use a chase with crossfade and use the Global Tap from another playback, but it doesn't

work. I would have to change the chase to "ramp up" or "ramp down".

To configure a chase to crossfade between cues, hold SETUP and tap the chase's button to open the Chase's Settings. Under Intensity, choose "Cross Fade". You can then define a fade percentage, using the Intensity Fade Percentage option below. This defines the percentage of the duration of each step that the fixtures are fading. 100% fade would mean 100% of the duration of each cue the fixtures are fading. Click OK, and now the chase will cross fade between each step of the chase.

You can the use a Global BPM fader to control the speed of the chase.

For more information on Global BPM, see below...

  11. Hello,

I have logged your request on our system (reference number ZOS-9618), to add playback names to the ZerOS Remote app.

If you use the Monitor app, rather than the Remote app, the faders desktop will show you the same information as the console.

The on-screen faders can also be used to set the fader level. To do this, on the console tap SETUP -> Settings -> Operational -> MFF Window playback action -> Set fader level.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

    Ooh, interesting idea...

We're in Mode 1 at the moment; I've not read the DMX chart on which is which recently but Rob wanted mode 1 so that's what we did.

    11 hours ago, Howartp said:

re-reading the manual tells me that mode 1 and 5 are identical in function, just with a different DMX channel order - which facilitates a custom mode 5 fixture definition, allowing 2x RGBW after it.

Yes by the looks of the manual Mode 1 and Mode 5 have the same functions, but Mode 5 is designed for pixel mapping, where the master controls are first, followed by individual pixel control.

    11 hours ago, Howartp said:

Can the colour effects (of the normal fixture definition) apply to the virtual colour wheel, thus affecting the whole fixture colour (zones 1-3 together) as a normal RGBW LED light would?  (We have Prolights LEDPAR64's).  I think that's the bit that Rob struggles with?

Auto Colour effects will only be applied to RGB(W) parameters. You could however create an effect on FLX using the wave-forms, and apply a function such as a sine wave on the virtual colour wheel parameter, which will then run through the colours. Looking at the fixture's manual, when the virtual colour wheel parameter is at full, it will run a colour effect automatically.

If you didn't want zone control, and just wanted to control the fixture as a whole, I would recommend operating the fixture in a different mode that simply has one set of RGBW control.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

    Edward

  13. Hi Peter,

What mode do you wish to use these fixtures in?

For Zone control, I would recommend using the fixtures in Mode 5, and with the fixture file attached...

Robin 600 LED Wash Mode 5 with Zones.ift

Using the file attached, for each 600 LED Wash in Mode 5, patch a "Mode 5" fixture on the console, plus 2 "RGBW Zone" fixtures. This will give you 3 patched fixtures on the console (one of which containing master controls including Pan and Tilt), each allowing individual control of each zone. You will then be able to select all of these, and colour mix and run effects across all zones.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know.

    Edward

  14. Hi Martin,

Thank you for the feedback, I will make a note of your comments.

Are you using the iOS or Android apps?

The colour scheme is dark to match the console skin and work in a dark environment. There isn’t an alternative colour scheme. If you turn the screen brightness up you should see it a little easier.

The encoder wheels aren’t the easiest to use on the app. Fixture control via the app is mainly designed via palettes, however the encoders are there if needed.

    All the best,

    Edward

  15. Hello,

That’s correct, palettes can have the same value for each fixture stored, or each fixture can have their own value. With colour palettes, if fixtures contained in the palette don’t all have the same RGB(W) values, you won’t be shown a colour preview on the palette tile.

  16. Hi Eric,

    Sorry to hear this.

If you tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> System Text, are there any error messages being reported? If so could you take a picture of this screen and email it to me?

I have logged this error report on our system as ZOS-9368 for investigation.

If you have any queries let us know.

  17. Hi Carl-Anders,

Firstly, welcome to the Zero 88 Forum.

Now we are trying to understand how we can get the buttons below the MFFs to function as a regular flash (go to 100%) button for our tecnican to operate manually during shows if needed.

When in Channels fader function, the buttons below the faders will always act as channel select buttons. There is currently no way of changing these to be a flash function. If you do wish to have the ability to flash certain fixtures, you can record these onto playback faders, and use the playback buttons to flash them.

    Hope this helps,

    Edward

  18. Salut,

OK merci de nous le faire savoir. Il n'y a pas de problèmes de compatibilité connus entre la dernière version de ZerOS Remote Monitor pour PC et ZerOS 7.9.6. Content que ça fonctionne à nouveau.

    Hello,

OK thank you for letting us know. There are no known compatibility issues between the latest version of ZerOS Remote Monitor for PC and ZerOS 7.9.6.
Glad you got this working again.

    All the best,

    Edward

  19. Hi Thierry,

This is for FLX series and ORB series only.

For Solution, when you run through cues the blue highlighted cell should remain on the cue number. If you press ENTER, the MFKs will allow you to type in a cue number. Press ENTER, and this will change the chosen Next cue. You can then press GO, to go to this cue.

Alternatively, in your example to go back a single cue, you can double press Pause.

    Hope this helps,

    Edward
