Hi Edgar, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Can you confirm that all your DMX addresses, and modes of these fixtures, match on the fixtures and in your patch on the FLX S24? After patching the first fixture you should have received a message asking whether you wanted to leave "RigSync" enabled - did you disable this? If you can link to the manuals of these fixtures, I will take a look and see if they may indicate a cause. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  4. Hi David, If you update a group to add in new fixtures, they will be included in the group, but they’re not going to be automatically included into palettes or cues that were recorded using the group. For example it is quite common to grab a group of fixtures, take a couple of them you don’t need out, and then record a cue. You wouldn’t want the couple of unneeded fixtures coming back into your cues even though they are included in the group you used. Hope this helps, Edward
  5. Hi Mac, If you would like to add fixtures of the same type, that duplicate exactly what existing fixtures are doing, your easiest method would be to simply add an additional DMX address to the existing fixtures. You therefore wouldn’t be able to control these new fixtures independently, however all existing programming will then be output to the additional DMX addresses too. If you would like independent control, then you’ll need to patch the new additional fixtures, and update your cues to add the new fixtures in. Hope this helps, Edward
  6. Hi Mac, Great, thanks for having a play and testing this. There won’t be any drawbacks to sticking with the red “legacy” fixtures. However if you want to change your fixtures in the console to a different fixture type, we advise converting the red fixtures to their equivalent library fixtures first, and then change the fixtures to a different type in the usual way. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  7. Hello, If you have a quick look back through the forum, you’ll see that ZerOS 8 has planned to have features such as pixel mapping included. We’re keen to stick with this, and as a user, other than Beamshape being split into BEAM and SHAPE, there aren’t any brand new features as such, just improved fixture handling and more extensive libraries. In terms of ZerOS, it is however a major update. In terms of the ZerOS roadmap, it would be too much work to make ZerOS 7.9.8 backwards compatible. The new file extension helps identify this, and an attempt to load a .zos file into a version expecting a .isf format will show an error to indicate it is not compatible. Release notes will contain clarity on show file compatibility. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  8. Hi Eric, The new fixture library will be regularly updated. I don’t know the exact number of fixtures off the top of my head contained in the latest beta, but believe it is just under 20,000. Most of the existing fixtures, will be contained in the new library. There will however be some that aren’t in the new library. This isn’t a problem for the user, as they can just load in their missing fixtures from the old Zero 88 library. Or, if they let us know, we will be able to get missing fixtures added to the new library format. If a fixture has parameters named “Red”, “Green”, “Blue” and “White”, they will automatically be applied to colour mixing. When Amber is supported, existing fixtures with Amber should automatically be applied to colour mixing. Really glad to hear you enjoyed the presentation! If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  9. Hi Eric, ZerOS 7.9.8 will bring a completely new fixture library, from a third party company. This includes a far more extensive library of fixtures, and far more information. For example, gone is the seven character limit for parameter names! There will be no original fixtures from the current version of ZerOS in the new library, however, you can load old fixture profiles in if you wish. Currently, the ZerOS colour mixing will be applied to CMY, RGB, or RGBW fixtures. The new fixture library will allow us to include other colours, such as Amber, in a future update. No problem, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  10. Hello, Thank you, we have received your show file, so will investigate this and reply to your email. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  11. Hi Martin, Not in ZerOS 7.9.8, but that is one of many areas the new library will enable. Edward
  12. Hi Chris, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Thanks for the question. One of the biggest fundamental benefits of the new library format, is more fixtures, with more detailed information than our existing library. This includes far more extensive parameter details, gobo libraries, and fixture macros. It also sets us up for implementing future features. Another key addition to FLX range consoles, is splitting the Beamshape attribute to Beam and Shape, and therefore allowing new fade times and options that go with it. Legacy fixture files will of course still be compatible, so for now the Fixture Editor software will remain available for you to still create your own fixtures. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  13. Hello, We haven't received an email from you yet, however will look out for it. Edward
  14. Hi Ian, If there are no fixtures patched in, and instead there are just dimmer channels mapped to control RGB of your fixtures, the console will just treat them as HTP dimmer channels, and there will be no LTP mixing by default. I would therefore recommend patching each fixture onto faders, so rather than having several channel faders controlling a single fixture, you have a single channel fader controlling a single fixture. The intensity can then be controlled by the fixture's channel fader, and other parameters such as colour mixing can be controlled by the fixture controls on the right hand side of the console. This can be done by first removing the dimmer channels, and then in SETUP -> Add Fixtures finding the fixture you need, and then patching it onto the fader you'd like it on. If you wish, a fixture on the console can have multiple DMX addresses. To do this tap SETUP, find the fixture you need in the Fixture Schedule, and then tap on its DMX address. Then type the new additional DMX address, and then tap "Add as Additional", instead of pressing OK. Yes you can. To do this, tap SETUP -> Universes, and scroll down to Desk Universe 1. Under Desk Universe 1, click Add under DMX, and type the port number of the extra DMX port you wish this universe to be transmitted from. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  15. Hi Ian, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. First thing I would recommend, is moving as many fixtures onto the channel faders, rather than MFKs on the left hand side of the console. This will gives you a dedicated intensity fader for your fixture, no matter what it is. On Leap Frog, the channel faders can control any of your fixtures, not just dimmers. Do you have a Leap Frog 48 or Leap Frog 96? If you have a Leap Frog 48, you could for example have 24 dimmer channels on the first row of channel faders, and then 24 LED fixtures or movers on the bottom row of channel faders. If you then have more than 48 fixtures in total, you can spill onto the MFKs to give you an additional 200 fixtures. The best function to use for this would be setting Max Levels. To do this, first ensure the programmer is clear by double tapping CLEAR, and then select the fixtures you need to adjust. What you will then need to do is set the levels of parameters that you would like to be inhibited to the maximum levels you would like them to go to. You need to ensure that only the parameters you wish to inhibit are tagged. If a parameter is tagged, this means it will get included when you are programming. By default, if you dial one colour parameter, all colour parameters are tagged, indicated by a white background on the Leap Frog's encoder LCD. To avoid this, before setting the max levels of your colour parameters, you may wish to temporarily separate the parameters. To do this hold SETUP and tap COLOUR, and under Keep Parameters Separate choose Yes. You can then dial the wheels of just the parameters you wish to inhibit, and the others should remain with a blue background to their encoder displays. You can therefore set some parameters to 0, so they cannot be accessed, or set them to 240, so you cannot access between 241-255 of that parameter. Once you have done this, you can then tap RECORD, and in the Record Options window that opens on the external monitor, disable SmartTag, so that it has a blue stripe, rather than red. If you cannot see the SmartTag option, then you are in basic cue only programming mode, and won't be able to complete the command. You will therefore first have to tap SETUP -> Settings -> Record & Update -> Tracking Options -> Enabled. With SmartTag disabled, you can then tap the HOME button, and then choose Max Level. Anything currently tagged, will then be stored as that parameter's maximum level. The encoder's display will still show the full value range, to allow you to still program that parameter. To remove your Max Levels, tap DELETE HOME and choose Max Level. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  16. Hi Thusitha, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Yes, it can. Every protocol on FLX S can have its own unique IP, or they can all share an IP address. As you mention, there cannot be another device on the network sharing one of these IP addresses though. To configure a static IP address for ArtNet, tap SETUP -> Universes -> Art-Net 4 -> Enabled -> Static IP, and then enter your desired IP, subnet, and if required, router IP. As Erics says, one single device can use the same IP for many different procotols, as the protocols will have their own port. Edward
  17. Hello, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Thank you for attaching the images. Please could you email us a copy of your show file saved in ZerOS 7.9.2.50, and we will take a look. Please email it to support@zero88.com. Edward
  18. Hi Kevin, In your screenshot, as long as ArtNet is enabled and your network settings are correct, WYSIWYG should be receiving desk universe 1 on ArtNet 1, and desk universe 2 on ArtNet 2 respectively. There shouldn’t be any other settings required on the console, other than to ensure your patch is correct. DMX Workshop will not receive data from Solution, as DMX Workshop is seen as a DMX “transmitter”, not a “receiver”. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  19. Hi Kevin, Firstly, I would recommend updating your console's software to ZerOS 7.9.7. So you are outputting console universe 1 on Art-Net universe 0, and WYSIWYG is set to receive Art-Net universe 0 and patch it to the first universe? This should work absolutely fine, however if you are having difficulties, start at Art-Net universe 1, rather than universe 0, to avoid confusion. On Solution, you can do this by tapping SETUP -> Universes -> Art-Net 4 -> Reset to Defaults -> Start at Universe 1. Then in WYSIWYG, ensure universe A and B are receiving 1 and 2, rather than 0 and 1. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
That is quite a big jump in software versions. Please could you email me a copy of your original ZerOS 7.8.5 show file, and I will take a look: support@zero88.com Edward
Hello, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. From your description, it sounds like your dimmer channels are loosing DMX when you turn off channel 26? Is channel 26 also a dimmer channel? What is plugged into channel 26? What software version are you running now and what version were you running previously? Have you loaded your show file from the old software into the new software? You may need to elaborate a little further to explain your issue. Edward
  22. Hi Rob, As Kevin says, choosing which playback you see in the Cues window, is a manual process of pressing and holding VIEW, and tapping the button of the playback you wish to view. This is to allow you to run cues on a playback, and temporarily overlay other lighting states from other playbacks without the cues window changing. Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  23. Hi Per, Really glad to hear you’ve got this working. Thanks very much for letting us know the cause of the issue. I will bear this in mind for if anyone else has similar sounding issues in future. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  24. Hi Per, Thanks for the information and screen shots. Thanks for confirming, yes looks like the iPhone is correctly on the network then. The main reasons you may encounter this "Desk connection failed" error are conflicting IP address, poor network bandwidth, or almost out of range from your access point. However from your description, it sounds like these issues aren't present in your set up, and something else may be going on. To confirm the network status on your console, tap Z/Shift -> System Information -> Network Overview. Are you able to connect a PC to the network, and run ZerOS Remote Monitor to see if you can connect to the console? ZerOS Remote Monitor is available from the website below... https://zero88.com/zeros#download Thanks David for your suggestions here too. The thread David is mentioning can be found below... It is worth mentioning, most routers won't default to such a low DHCP lease time, so this shouldn't be an issue. And even if they do, most routers will build up a DHCP table, with a list of which IP address has been allocated to which discovered MAC address, and as a general rule will try and keep to this allocation even after leases expire, and devices drop in and out. This would be known as a MAC address reservation, where the DHCP server sees a MAC address and always assigns it a given IP address. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  25. Hi Per, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. From your screen shot, the WiFi symbol is not displaying top right of your iPhone. Are you sure you are correctly connected to the WiFi network? If you are using a router/access point with DHCP capabilities, I would recommend setting your console and phone to DHCP. Your phone will use DHCP by default. Please ensure there are no other devices with static IPs on the network, that may have a conflicting IP address. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on. Edward
