  1. Hi Salander, As Kevin mentions, there is no external monitor output on FLX S24 consoles. For information on how you can use the ZerOS Monitor apps as a touchscreen, see below... http://support.zero88.com/997472681 If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  2. Hi Stefan, Thanks for confirming. The software team are investigating this, however if you see it again in the meantime please drop me an email and let me know. Edward
  3. Hi Steve, No problem, let me know how you get on. Edward

Hi Lehar, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Sorry to hear this. What software version were you running previously, and how did you update to ZerOS 7.9.8? I would recommend loading ZerOS Library into your console. To do this, please download the ZerOS Library file below... https://zero88.com/storage/downloads/46c53825-b970-4993-aeda-83ea12886fdf/ZerOS-Library-1-0.zlbr Once downloaded, copy the .zlbr file to the root of a USB stick. Then plug into your console, tap Setup -> Load, and choose the Library file to load in from USB. Once compete, you will then be able to power cycle the console, and you should find the library is updated, to give you access to the 45 auto effects. I hope this helps, if you have any questions please let me know. Edward
  6. Hi Eric, In a few weeks' time, we will be releasing a minor software update, which will bring a further update to the fixture library, and some other enhancements and improvements. Therefore if you are in no rush to update your software, you may wish to wait. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  7. Hi Steve, To get back to an 8bit value, divide the 16bit value by 256. Cheers, Edward
  8. Hi Steve, The DMX refresh rate, is how many packets of DMX (containing the information for all 512 channels) are sent out per second. ORB XF sits at 30Hz, which will be similar to where Linebacker will be. As you say, this is the only thing I can think of, and unless there is a firmware fix for the cloth drivers, the workaround will be to address them in the first half of the universe. Edward
  9. Hi Steve, Just as a bit of an update, our software team have found and fixed this issue. We will be releasing this fix in the next few weeks. Encoder wheel displays will show the DMX value being sent to the fixture. If you are seeing a value of 0-65535, this means this is a 16bit parameter, and it therefore uses a pair of DMX channels for control, rather than a single DMX channel for 8bit parameters, with a range from 0-255. Yes you can. The ZerOS 7.9.7 download available below contains the release notes, console software, and Phantom ZerOS... https://zero88.com/storage/downloads/51a59da7-2286-438b-8458-925b3a9f49cb/ZerOS-7.9.7.zip I hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. 10. Hi Steve, That is really interesting, thanks very much for the information and attaching the results of your testing. This definitely sounds like a question for the manufacturer of the star cloth drivers. Is there a firmware update for these you can perform? The only thing I can potentially think of, is that maybe the refresh rate of the ORB XF is too high for the cloth drivers, despite the refresh rate being pretty much slap bang in the middle of the permitted range. Unfortunately on ORB XF you cannot change the refresh rate, and so the work around is likely just to address the star cloth drivers to address 255 or lower. I hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  11. Hi David, No problem at all! It’s great to have you regularly posting. I always like to keep an eye on the forum! Cheers, Edward
  12. Hi David, Thanks very much for replying to Adrian with your comments and links regarding FLX. Adrian had emailed me prior to posting, asking where he could get some thoughts from FLX users. I suggested he posted on the forum. If you have any questions let me know. Edward
  13. Hi Stan, Once your chase has been triggered, you will then need to tell it to release in the cue you would like the chase to stop. Therefore tap the Settings button of the cue you would like your chase to stop in. Then tap Macros... and add a playback to release. You can choose your chase playback, click OK, and then click OK on the settings window. When you go into this cue, your chase will then fade out, using the fade down time of the cue. I hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  14. Hi Stefan, OK thanks for the information. So to confirm, have you seen the issue when the console has had nothing connected to it, other than power? I have sent your video link to the software team for them to investigate. This is logged on our software tracking system as reference number ZOS-9368. If you have any questions please let us know. Edward
  15. Hi TEGA, The playback settings can be accessed in the usual way - hold SETUP and tap the playback’s button. From the top, choose Move on Dark to access the move on dark settings for the playback, including the new Shape settings. In ZerOS 7.9.8, any fixtures that are not from the fixture library, will be displayed in red in the Fixture Schedule and Add Fixtures. This also gives the ability to convert your non-library fixtures, to library fixtures, if required. If your fixtures are missing from the new library format, feel free to email us at fixturesupport@zero88.com, and let us know which fixtures are missing, and we will get them added for a future library release. I hope this helps, if you have any questions let me know. Edward
  16. I have removed the link to the video in your post, to protect your console’s serial number. Please keep the video link active though, so our software team can take a look. Edward
  17. Hi Stefan, Really sorry to hear this. Thanks very much for linking to a video of the issue. When the issues are shown, do you always have your USB hub connected? If so please could you send a link to the USB hub you are using? If you disconnect the USB hub, do the issues go away? This potentially sounds like a power issue, and the hub is trying to draw too much current from the USB ports. If you have any questions please let us know. Edward
  18. Correct. Unfortunately the “First Note” field is applicable for “Separate Octaves”, however is incorrectly hidden when Separate Octaves is chosen. Logged on our system, to be fixed in a future update. Most people will just live in “Separate Octaves” with the default of the First Note of 0. Edward
  19. Hi David, I reckon I have worked out where the confusion may be. If you tap SETUP -> Triggers -> Combine Octaves, what is your “First Note” set to? By default, this should be 0. This will mean in Channels, a Note 1 triggers fixture 1, in Cues Note 1 triggers cue 1, and in Playbacks Note 0 triggers playback 1. If you have the First Note set to 1, and then click Separate Octaves, in Playbacks Note 1 will trigger playback 1. Note 0 will have no function. Could this be what you’re seeing? If so, to save @Uriahdemon remapping all the Novation buttons, you can tap Combine Octaves, change the First Note to 1, and then click Separate Octaves. Edward
  20. Hi David, This has been how MIDI Notes has operated on ZerOS since it was introduced - the first note (note 0) triggering playback 1. Therefore if your configuration was working, a software update won’t change that. So not sure where the problem Mac has found has arisen from? When we do come to map the MIDI Notes 1:1 with playback’s, you will need to remap your set up. Edward
  21. Hi Joe, Just thought I'd post to confirm that recording intensity effects onto UDKs play back correctly. Edward
  22. Hi Mac, No problem - in a future update we will ensure MIDI Notes are patched 1:1 with playbacks, which will also allow the Master Playback to be triggered. Edward
  23. Hi Mac, MIDI Notes 0, will trigger playback 1, and MIDI Note 1 will trigger playback 2 and so on. This may be what you are seeing? Edward
  24. Hello, No there isn't - if you choose to use the Manual Fade options, the fader advances you through your cues, rather than the Go button. After operating a cue list with Manual Fader 1-way or 2-way, it cannot simply be changed to a different Fader Function. Therefore if you do wish to operate the cue list with a different fader function, change the cue list to the fader function you need, and then copy it to an empty playback fader. The new copy will then playback with your newly chosen fader function. We are aware of this issue, where after manually releasing a Manual Fade playback it can no longer be triggered. This is logged on our software tracking system as reference number ZOS-5803. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  25. Hello, After resetting the console, currently the active window is the Output window. To focus onto the Cues window on the external monitor if you don't have a mouse or touchscreen connected, jump into the playback's settings and then click OK. Your arrow keys will navigate the Cues window. Or, coincidentally, use the syntax DELETE 0 ENTER. Edward
