  1. Hi David, Let's say you turned your LED fixtures on, and then recorded this as cue 1. Then, the next thing you do, is apply a rainbow effect to the LED fixtures, and record this as cue 2. At the point of recording cue 2, you didn't tell the fixtures to turn on. You didn't need to, as they were on already. Therefore the intensity of these fixtures is displayed as purple in cue 2, showing these fixtures have not been given an update to their intensity value in this cue. Hope this helps, Edward
  2. It still baffles me when we just so happen to reply at an identical time in the evening 😂 And yep, good point - you’ll probably get blocked intensity values from recording a Snapshot cue, if you have not manually changed values from the previous cue. Edward
  3. Hello, A “Blocked” intensity value, indicated in white, is a value which is recorded in a cue, that is identical to the value recorded in the previous cue. The intensity is therefore told to go to the value it is at already. A “Tracked” intensity value, indicated in purple, is a value which has not been given a new instruction by a cue, and is therefore still the same value it was in the previous cue. Hope this helps, Edward
  4. Hi @DRP Please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/desktops-windows/output-window Hope this helps, Edward
  5. Hi @Cuba Software updates will completely wipe all programming, patch and settings from the console. Following a software update, you can load in your show file from the previous version, and you’ll be back where you left off. For more information, please see the link below

  6. Hi @LLuk Really glad to hear you like working on FLX. When a playback is set to "Manual Fade", the Go button is disabled. Rather than using the Go button, moving the fader advances you through your cues. However, the ability to also use the Go button, is something that we would like to implement. This is logged on our software tracking system as reference number ZOS-5803. For more information on using a Speed Override fader, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/special-playback-functions If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  7. You won't do any harm to FLX S consoles by booting them with a bootable drive plugged in - they will just ignore it.
  8. I can confirm this is not the same issue. The internal storage on FLX is very different hardware to FLX S. The tool I provided to recover the FLX S is not compatible with FLX consoles. Edward
  9. Hi @Takuya Chinen No problem! For installation instructions, please follow the information in the release notes. For more information, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/load/zeros-software The internal storage in the FLX S had corrupted, and needed to be re-flashed using a utility I shared with @Takuya Chinen Edward
  10. Hi @Mark-Jazzie Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Really glad to hear it. A very valid suggestion. This suggestion is actually already logged on our software tracking system. The reference number for this particular enhancement is ZOS-8756. I have raised the priority of this following your request. The current thoughts are, that when editing a fixture's DMX address in the Fixture Schedule, you will be able to access the Universe preview, in the same way you can when adding a new fixture. Currently to view the Universe Preview, you have to tap Add Fixtures -> Next, to be able to access it. Similarly, when editing a fixture's channel number, we'd like to add the ability to tap a channel button below a channel fader, to move the fixture to a different fixture number on the console, rather than having to use a number pad. Thanks you for your feedback. Edward
  11. Hi @Ed75 Manual updated for clarity... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/playback-settings/general#faderfunction Thanks, will reply to that shortly. Nice! 🙂 Edward
  12. Hi @kgallen Certainly something we don't want to fall off the radar. This is logged as reference number ZOS-8734. I have added another request to this issue. Edward
  13. Hi @Jimlad Thanks for confirming. Memory transitions on PhantomJester will take slightly longer than the time shown. However I wouldn't expect this to be almost twice the length of time, as mentioned in your first post. This shouldn't cause an issue as PhantomJester cannot output DMX. Reinstalling won't solve this. Edward
  14. Hi @Davidmk Thanks very much for your thoughts and feedback. This suggestion is logged on the system as ZOS-10864, along with other thoughts and improvements to the MFF Window. This would be included as part of the "Custom desktop layouts on FLX / FLX S". This would also be included as part of the "Custom desktop layouts on FLX / FLX S". This would be applicable to both physical and remote monitors. I would agree. OSC is a subject we are very interested in, as a complete network-based triggering system, moving away from needing USB interfaces. For reference, the "Rig Layout" is currently logged on the system as ZOS-7630. Logged as ZOS-2282. Thanks again for your time. Edward
  15. Hi @Sven76 Thanks very much for your request - this would be part of the "Improved effects engine". Edward
  16. Hi @Ed75 When a playback is set to "Manual Fade", the Go button is disabled. Rather than using the Go button, moving the fader advances you through your cues. There is an issue we are aware of, where if you set a playback back to HTP Master in the playback settings, the playback still functions with Manual Fade behaviour. This is the issue @kgallen mentions, which is logged as reference number ZOS-8363 on our software tracking system. Upon setting a playback back to HTP Master, you can copy it to another playback, and then back to the master playback, and it will use HTP Master behaviour correctly. As @kgallen says, if you would like to have access to our Software Testing area of the forum, please do let me know. If you have any questions, please let me know. Edward
  17. Hi @Jimlad Can you confirm that when in Run Mode, your Fade Time knob is set to "Manual"? This will ensure the Jester uses the memory fade times, rather than the Fade Time knob. Hope this helps, Edward
  18. Hi Kevin, Yes, this would all be part of improved RDM Monitoring/Sniffing, including being able to see sensor values, and possibly custom messages from fixtures. Hence I voted for that option! Edward
  19. Hi @Ed75, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Thanks very much for the introduction and for your feedback. That is very useful to hear. Thanks for voting! Edward
  20. Hi @Takuya Chinen Sorry to hear you have experienced this issue with your console. If you cannot access the ZerOS Start-Up Tool, please email support@zero88.com, confirming this console's serial number, and we will be able to advise. You may find it easiest to email a picture of the console's serial number, to save typing it out manually. Bootable USB sticks CANNOT be used on FLX S consoles. If the ZerOS Start-Up Tool cannot be used, please drop us an email with the serial number. Rather than searching the forum, please search the ZerOS manual for up-to-date ZerOS resources... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros You can use the filter to only show content relevant to certain desk types... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/introduction-58 Hope this helps, Edward
Hello, Fixture Numbers will not be changed automatically. Fixture Numbers can only be edited by tapping on a Fixture Number cell in the Fixture Schedule, or by selecting a range of fixtures, and tapping "Ch #" at the top of the Fixture Schedule. If you renumber fixtures, this will not affect any programming that has already been done with those fixtures. On FLX S, the changing the fixture number purely changes which physical fader you use to control the fixture. As the AFX Lighting PARLED 1820IR fixtures use more DMX channels than the RGBW fixtures, upon changing profiles in the Fixture Schedule, you will find some of the PARLED1820IR fixtures do not have a DMX address, to avoid any conflicts. It is certainly more common to change from a non-library fixture to a library fixture, but you should be able to swap this process round without issue. That's correct - in fact every fixture in ZerOS has a hidden ID which cannot be edited, which is why you can change a fixture's address and channel number without issue. Edward
Hello, When you change a fixture in the Fixture Schedule, the repacement fixture will be labelled with the fixture's name. Fixtures will not be removed when changing them. However, if you change a fixture, to a fixture that uses more DMX channels than the original, you may find it is automatically unpatched. This is to ensure the replacement fixtures do not overlap with existing fixtures, allowing you to give the replacement fixtures new addresses. Hope this helps. Edward
  23. Thanks Kevin, also available here...
  24. Hi @Davidmk Upon double tapping CLEAR, if you would like your fixtures to fade to their defaults or cue values, you can enable Programmer Time. Programmer Time can be accessed from the fourth encoder wheel in the Z window, or from a fader. For more information, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/z-key/z-encoders#programmertime To remove certain fixtures from the programmer, you can use a "Clear Fixture" UDK on FLX. For more information see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/user-definable-keys/advanced-udks You may find this session below has some other handy pointers... Hope this helps, Edward
