  1. Dear All, The ZerOS manual is up-to-date with all the new features and changes introduced by ZerOS 7.11. Please see the link below for a list of revisions... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/introduction-58/revisions-50 Please watch the video below, for an introduction to the changes... Edward
  2. Hi @phosphene If you wish to use playback faders to control levels of RGB, you will need to manually record the required fixtures into your playback faders, as per the tutorial. There is no way of creating a set of RGB faders and then assigning different fixtures to them on the fly. For this, you would need the standard FLX, so that you could access the onscreen faders window. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  3. Hi Gray, Hope you're well. If the Record Options window is opening as soon as you press RECORD, this means the window settings have been changed. To access the Record window settings, tap SETUP -> Settings, and scroll down to the bottom. It sounds like your console is set to "Internal Display", meaning the window opens as soon as Record is tapped. By default, "External Display" will be selected. This means the window will always appear on an external remote display, but can be opened internally if you press and hold RECORD. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  4. Hi Ian, Hope you're well. As you have discovered, when ZerOS Wings are used with FLX S24, they will always boot up in Channels Page 2. The function and page recalled on boot cannot currently be configured. I have logged this feature request as reference number ZOS-10940 on our software system. This feature is logged as reference number ZOS-10864. I have logged your request for this feature. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward

  6. Hi Paul, To record these two cues, I would do the following: 140 THRU 212 . @ 15 ENTER EFFECT 25 ENTER RECORD, tap an empty playback's button. There is no need to alter any Record Options. CLEAR CLEAR 111 THRU 113 . ENTER EFFECT 13 ENTER RECORD tap an empty playback's button. There is no need to alter any Record Options. CLEAR CLEAR Neither playback should then interfere with one another, and will only include information for their respective fixtures. For detailed information on the Record Options, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/record-options The Record Filters are explained here... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/record-options/record-filters Hope this helps. Edward
  7. Hi Eric, Thank you very much for your explanation. This functionality would be covered by "Discrete timings on FLX (apply specific timings to specific parameters)". This will allow you to set custom timings per parameter for a cue, rather than all parameters of an attribute adhering to the cue time. Hope this helps. Edward
  8. Hi Paul, Thanks very much for sharing your show file. I can confirm that playback 26 does indeed include RGB @ Full for fixtures 140 thru 212. Therefore upon raising playback 26, it will set these fixtures to white. Playback 26 does not include intensity information for fixtures 140 thru 212, however the intensity is already up from playback 25, hence you see the colour change. To remove this unwanted colour information from playback 26, double tap CLEAR, and raise playback 26, with nothing else active on stage. Then tap UPDATE, and from the Update Options, enable SmartTag, so it has a red stripe. Then tap Playback 26's button. This will remove any parameter information that may have been present in playback 26, for fixtures currently @ 0% intensity. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  9. Hi Paul, Thank you for your description of the issue, and for providing a video. The wall battens are also included with the floor battens in your floor batten cue. The reason behind this will depend on how you recorded the cue, and the Record Options that were set. I would recommend re-recording these playbacks, and ensure that after recording each cue, you double tap CLEAR, to allow you to then create the next lighting state from scratch. If you still come across the issue, please email a copy of your show file to support@zero88.com, and we will take a look. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  10. Hi @OliB150 That is correct. In ZerOS 7.9.8 software and later, show files are saved in the new .zos format. In ZerOS 7.9.7 and earlier show files use the .ift format. .zos show files cannot be loaded into ZerOS 7.9.7 and earlier. I would therefore recommend updating your console’s software. Please see the link below for more information… https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/load/zeros-software Hope this helps. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  11. Hi @danglen It would be good to hear what other FLX users recommend, however for testing, demonstrations and training we use the following touchscreens... https://iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-t2236msc-b2/ Edward
  12. Hi Pete, Based on your description, it sounds like the "SmartTag" option had been disabled in the Record Options. With SmartTag disabled, ZerOS will only record fixtures that have been adjusted manually. Therefore fixture information from other active cues will not be recorded. When SmartTag is enabled, as it is by default, ZerOS will include manual fixture values, plus fixture information from any active cues. In your example, the only thing you did was raise a playback on an MFF and so the only fixtures onstage were those from the cue on the active playback. Therefore when you recorded a cue with SmartTag disabled, ZerOS recorded any values that had been adjusted manually. As there weren't any, you ended up with a blank cue. To access the SmartTag option, press and hold the RECORD button, to open the Record Options window on the internal touchscreen. The SmartTag button will be top left of the window. If it has a red stripe on its button, this means it is enabled. For more information on SmartTag, see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/record-options/snapshot-smarttag#smarttag Hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  13. Hi @Paul Bennett 211 On FLX, you have never been able to rearrange the windows on the external desktops. In earlier software versions, the "Effects" window was not included on the Groups/Colour desktop, and therefore the Groups window was full width. When the Effects window was added to this desktop, the Groups window was resized to the top quarter, making it 5 tiles wide to match the internal Groups window. The JEM Compact Hazer Pro is included in the ZerOS Library under the "Martin" manufacturer. To convert your existing fixture, select just your JEM Compact Hazer Pro in the Fixture Schedule, and then choose Convert All Profiles. Then click Show All, and find the fixture under Martin. You can then click OK. I hope this helps, Edward
  14. Hi @Paul Bennett 211 The window layouts on the external desktops are pre-defined, and cannot be customised or resized. Fully customisable window layouts are on the roadmap for a future ZerOS release. No problem! If there's anything else you need, just let us know. Edward
  15. Hi @Paul Bennett 211 When you load in a show file, ZerOS looks at the fixtures in the show file, and compares them to those fixtures in the library. If the fixtures in your show file are not from the same library version as the library currently installed on your console, ZerOS will import the fixtures from the show file. This ensures that your existing cues play back exactly how you recorded them. These fixtures will be displayed in red in the Fixture Schedule, to indicate they are not from the library. The Fixture Schedule provides the ability to convert these show file fixtures, to their latest library equivalents. For more information, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/fixture-schedule/change-fixture#convert If you are not able to convert all your fixtures to the latest library versions, this doesn't matter, as you will continue to be able to use the original version of the fixture without issue. Hope this helps, Edward
  16. Hi @Paul Bennett 211 Thank you for attaching an image of your console's System Information window (I have removed this from your post to hide your console's serial number). As @Davidmk mentions, the "Software Version" is the key information in the System Information window. As you are running ZerOS 7.9.6, please see the link below for information on how you can update your console's software to ZerOS 7.10... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/load/zeros-software For information on naming fixtures, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/fixture-schedule/fixture-names For information on renumbering fixtures, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/fixture-schedule/fixture-channel-number Fixtures can be renumbered without any problem. Cues will not be broken upon renumbering fixtures, and cues will continue to use the same fixtures, even if they now have a new number (behind the scenes, ZerOS has an ID for each fixture that is patched that cannot be changed, meaning your cues know which light is which, despite fixture numbers being changed). I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  17. Hi Andy, Hold SETUP and tap your Master Playback's button. This will open the Playback's Settings. Hold the Z/Shift key, and then choose "Pause" from the button function options at the bottom. Then release the Z/Shift key, and you should see the option returns to "Go (Fade)". You can then click OK. Now when you hold Z/Shift and tap the Master Playback's go button, you will pause it. Please see the link below for more information... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/cues-playbacks/playback-settings/general#button Hope this helps, Edward
  18. Hi Cliff, To set default cue timings, and default playback settings, tap SETUP -> Defaults. For more information, please see the link below... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/defaults-2 Once SmartTag has been disabled in the Record Options, it will then stay disabled until you manually enable it again. This means there is no need to press and hold RECORD each time you want to record a cue. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  19. Hi @phosphene Hope you're well. I would recommend taking a look at the tutorial below, which looks specifically at colour mixing on faders... If you are still unable to achieve what you're after, please let us know. Edward
  20. Hi @AndyJM When you go into the last cue of a playback, the "Next" cue will be cue 1, as playbacks will wrap around automatically. The Cues window is always "focussed" on the Next cue, and so you scroll to the top. As per @kgallen's comment, we would like to review this behaviour. This is logged as reference number ZOS-8694 on our software tracking system. I have raised the priority of this issue following your request. On FLX consoles, a few taps of the Up arrow gets you back to the bottom of the Cue list. On FLX S consoles, you could use the Pause functionality as described by @delfine. Configuring the Master Playback's button's shifted function to pause, would allow you to hold Z/Shift and double tap Go, to get back to the bottom of the cue list. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  21. Hi David, Thanks for the information. Edward
  22. Dear All, Our April, May & June online training sessions have been scheduled. These consist of various 1-hour sessions covering different topics related to FLX S24, FLX S48 and FLX consoles. For a list of sessions, dates & times, and also to register, head to the training page below… https://zero88.com/training#eventdates If you have any questions, as always just let us know. Edward
  23. Hi David, Yep, fully understand that. If you do change your mind and would like access, just drop me an email. Edward
  24. Hi David, To confirm, have you experienced your FLX being unresponsive whilst running ZerOS 7.10? I've just noticed that you are not a member or our Software Testing area of the forum. Let me know if you would like to join! Edward
  25. Hi All, I think there are three different things going on here: @delfine has experienced an issue with their FLX S front panel freezing, with ZerOS continuing to run, when their router is connected. This will not affect FLX hardware. Delfine and I will investigate further in our meeting. @kgallen is mentioning crashes that to my knowledge have all been fixed in later versions of ZerOS. @Davidmk sorry to hear you have experienced freezes with your FLX. As you almost always use the console when connected to a network, it is almost impossible to say that the network is the cause. If you noticed they only occurred when connected to your network, this would of course be a different story. If the issue does occur again, please take a picture of the console in its frozen state, and email this along with your current show file to support@zero88.com. If you have any questions, please let me know. Edward
