  1. Well you learn something new everyday!
  2. Hi Paul, Due to hardware limitations, Philips Hue control is not available on Solution consoles. Philips Hue control is only available on FLX, FLX S, and ZerOS Server. Hue devices have parameters just like DMX fixtures, and so do use licenced ZerOS control channels. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  3. Hi Kevin, No it wouldn't! Manual updated! There is not really a right or wrong approach. Personally, I like to use one of the "mini" USB drives that are basically just a USB connector, to ensure they can't accidentally get snapped off. I then leave this plugged into the console for all of my show file storage, essentially as internal storage. If there are occasions where I need to transfer files to and from a PC, I would often use a different USB drive. Edward
  4. Hi Kevin, All very valid comments. Hopefully this clears things up... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/save Let me know your thoughts. Edward
  5. Hi Martin, That is correct - if you are in global Cue Only mode, this essentially means the console is in "basic" mode". More advanced programming options such as Remove will be unavailable. Don't forget - when you have your Tracking Options enabled, you can then use the Tracking Options to set the console to Cue Only anyway. If the console is in global Cue Only mode, it will decide what does and what doesn't get included. This can bring limitations when it comes to mixing playbacks. See the link below for more information on mixing playbacks... I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know. Edward
  6. Hi Eric, All information on saving show files to USB storage is available here... https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/setup/save There is no option to manually eject a USB storage device in ZerOS. Just make sure you don't unplug a USB drive in the middle of loading or saving - particularly when loading software updates! Edward
  7. Hi Alex, Thank you for the information. This is not something we came across whilst testing various monitors, however, we haven't got access to that model of monitor. In most cases calibration will either work correctly, or not at all. If you're able to look into this further when the console is back on ZerOS 7.12, that would be very helpful. Do feel free to send me a direct email with your findings. Edward
  8. Hi All, As an update to this thread, the software team have found and fixed the issue (reference number ZOS-10983). The fix will be included in ZerOS 7.13 software. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  9. (I’m currently on holiday as I’m moving house, so can’t give this my full attention!) All of @kgallen’s comments are, as always, very helpful. Regarding Effects, the main difference between FLX and FLX S is you don’t have the Waveforms engine on FLX S. See the link below for more information… Edward
  10. Hi @james_ If you haven’t saved your show file to a USB drive prior to resetting the console, you will need to patch it. Otherwise the console won’t know what lights you have. See the link below for information on adding lights into your console… https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/add-fixtures Hope this helps, Edward
  11. Hi Peter, Thank you for the information. Without any error messages, it is hard to say what may have caused this. If you encounter this issue again, it would be worth just connecting a single monitor, to see if this resolves the issue. If you need an extra monitor, you can add additional desktops using the ZerOS Monitor app for Windows and tablets. What USB devices were connected to the console? If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  12. Hi @Rene van Hove This sounds like an intermittent internal connection, sometimes causing the console to fail to boot. An approved service centre should be able to open the console, to ensure everything is seated correctly. Edward
  13. Hi Stefan, No problem, pleased to hear it. If there's anything else we can help with, please let us know. Edward
  14. Hi @Petera Sorry to hear this. What did you see on the external monitor? Did the console go straight from the normal interface, to the first boot screen? Was there a certain button that was pressed, that seemed to trigger the reboot? How long did the console take to reboot? Edward
  15. Hi Stefan, Thank you very much for your description of the issue, and for sharing a debug file along with your show file. Sorry to see you encountered this issue with your console. We are aware of an issue on Leapfrog consoles running ZerOS 7.11, which can result in a crash when changing multiple fixture profiles at once in the Fixture Schedule. This issue will be fixed in ZerOS 7.12 software, which we are hoping to release in the next couple of weeks. If you need a fix sooner, please send us an email to support@zero88.com, and I can share a beta version with you. I can confirm that based on the information in the debug file, there is not a hardware issue with your console. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  16. Hi Ian, Access information is available here… https://zero88.com/manuals/zeros/mechanical-89/flx-access-instructions Once you have opened the console, you’ll see the CR2032 coin cell battery in a holder on the processor PCB in the base of the console. Replace this for a fresh battery, observing polarity. Edward
  17. Hi @Simonkbike If you are receiving a “Non-Volatile RAM” error, this indicates the battery needs replacing. To open the console, remove the screws in the diagram below.. https://zero88.com/storage/downloads/6c4dcd75-9f3b-4a1f-a33d-371491b2c707/Leafrog-Solution-Access-Diagram.PDF The front panel can then hinge away from the base - be careful not to tug any ribbon cables. The CR2032 coin cell can then be replaced. Do feel free to email support@zero88.com if you need assistance. Hope this helps, Edward
  18. Hi @Rene van Hove Thank you for your description of the issue. If you are unable to access the ZerOS Start-Up Tool, this suggests there is a hardware issue with the console. Could the console have experienced any impacts since it was working correctly? As your console is under warranty, I recommend sending us an email to support@zero88.com, including the console’s serial number. Feel free to email a picture of the serial number sticker on the rear of the console. Please also let us know your location, and we will be able to advise. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  19. Hi @snako Thanks very much for the update. If you have received any debug files in the .zdb format, please do email these to support@zero88.com, to allow us to investigate further. If you have any questions please let us know. Edward
  20. Hi @snako Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. Really sorry to hear you have encountered this issue after updating your console’s software. Upon booting the console after the issue, did you receive any error messages on the internal touchscreen, prior to the console freezing again? As per @kgallen ‘s comment, I’d recommend accessing the ZerOS Start-Up Tool from the link above. This will allow you to firstly clear the show file from the console, which may have corrupted, causing the console to crash upon boot. You can then reboot the console, and load in your show file from a USB drive. If you haven’t backed up your show file to a USB drive, you can back-up the desk state to a USB drive, prior to clearing the show file. However, this will dump a file that you will need to email us, to allow us to recover your show file. If clearing the show file does not work, you can reinstall ZerOS 7.11 software from the Start-Up Tool. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  21. Hi Ian, The Tagging training video is available here... Hope this helps, Edward
  22. Hi @Simonkbike Thank you for sharing the OS version. Would you also be able to share the Software Version? To confirm the current software version running on your console, please click the “Other Windows” button, found top left of the Output Window. From the drop-down choose System Info. In the window that opens will be a line of text displaying the “Software Version”. The latest software for Solution consoles is ZerOS 7.11. As some of your fixtures feature Lime LEDs, I would recommend updating to ZerOS 7.11, as this version applies Lime to the ZerOS colour mixing tools. How are you trying to adjust the fixture's colour? Do the colour encoder wheels give you control? If it is just the automatic colour palettes that are not working, as @keredyelesob mentions, please try clicking "Automatically Create Colour Palettes", and try again. If you have any questions, please let us know. Edward
  23. Dear All, Back by popular demand, our FLX range "Tagging" training session is tomorrow @ 14:00 - 15:00 UK time. Click here to find out more and to register. Edward
  24. Hi Eric, I think @iank99 has covered everything here. To add a couple of further comments: There are many different approaches to running network cabling above 100m, most of which come down to personal preference and the specific requirements of each system. If you need a cable run of more than 200m, I would be tempted to go with Ian's suggestion, and move over to fibre for the cable run... As Ian suggests, if you need a cable run between 100m and 200m, you could get away with putting a small Ethernet switch mid way along the line. Depending on the system you are creating, it could be useful to add a wireless access point at this location too. I would not recommend "daisy-chaining" multiple switches to achieve this, as the more "hops" you add, the more latency there will eventually be. The setup Ian is talking about here is specialist equipment. Personally, I wouldn't consider Wi-Fi for this, but YMMV. If you need to get a DMX universe remotely, then sending DMX wirelessly will be less of a headache than wirelessly sending your Ethernet network a great distance. If you have any questions, let us know. Edward
  25. Hi @SimonH If you had SmartTag enabled, yes. Edward
