  1. Hi Martin, Many thanks for your feedback. Edward
  2. Hi Jens, Please see document below detailing changes to Leapfrog/Solution consoles running ZerOS 7.9.2 and later (latest is ZerOS 7.9.4): http://support.zero88.com/988876191 What software version did you make your show file in? We have come across an issue where if you load an old show file into a new version of software, the Trigger and Release settings for Playbacks are incorrect. This can easily be solved by holding SETUP + tapping your Playback that doesn't appear to be working -> tap Raise & Lower from the settings, and ensure Trigger on Raise and Release on Lower are enabled- this is the default. Regarding attribute fades on Playbacks, these are governed by the cue fades contained within the Playback. Therefore to access these hold MEMORIES and tap your Playback's button, and you will then be able to edit the fade times for intensity (up and down), Colour, Beam and Position. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  3. Hi Kevin, For those videos, we were using the free Capture presentation file, that is available to download from our website... http://support.zero88.com/1004254221/Capture-Visualisation-Software.htm For testing, we use Capture Nexum. Edward
  4. Hi Eric, If you push your UV playback up, change to channels fader function, the UV playback will still be playing, as you haven’t released it. The shortcut to manually release all playbacks, is to hold CLEAR, and tap the FADER FUNCT. button. This will return your UV parameter to its defaults (0%). Hope that makes sense and is what you’re after. Any queries let me know. Edward
  5. Hi Eric, Glad you got your touchscreen working, and feel like you’re getting the hang of the console. As Kevin says, it’s all about practice, and I’m sure you’ll pick it up quickly. To answer the couple of queries above: Every channel fader can have a single fixture patched to it, but it can have multiple DMX addresses. To add these tap SETUP, select your fixture, and tap Address. Then type in the extra DMX address for the fixture, and tap Add as additional address. This will give the single fixture multiple DMX addresses. The reason you faded through white into your UV playback, is due to the colour fade time. Fixtures default to white so that when you turn them on, you can see them lit. Therefore you need to adjust the colour fade time of your UV playback. To do this hold VIEW and tap your UV Playbacks button, and tap the colour fade cell and set it to 0 seconds- the default is 3 seconds. Now when you raise the fader again the fixture will be raised into UV from off. You change the fade defaults on the console, in SETUP -> Defaults -> Colour fade. Hope that helps, any queries as always let us know. Edward
  6. Hi Derek, Great, glad you like the improvements! We’ve still got a few tweaks to make, but we’re hoping to release as soon as possible. Edward
  7. Hi Eric, If the touchscreen still isn't working past the calibration screen, please go to Z -> System Information -> System Info, and take a picture of the screen and send it to me. This may help us see what the problem is. Regarding your LED fixture, currently Red, Green, Blue and White colour parameters are used in Colour Mixing. Any other colours (such as Amber or UV), are not used. You can of course still control these parameters using the encoder wheels, and record them into your own palettes. You can also add these parameters to the auto-palettes by updating them. To record UV to a Playback fader, select your LED fixture and turn on its intensity. Then go to the Colour Picker, and use the Value fader to dial RGBW out. Then use the UV parameter encoder to dial the UV to full, tap RECORD, and tap a Playback fader. You'll then need to adjust the colour fade to 0 seconds, so that when you raise the fader you will be in UV, rather than fade through white. This can be done by holding VIEW + tap your Playback. If a fixture has a Strobe parameter, this will be found under the Beam attribute. You can record the Strobe rate to a fader, by selecting the fixture and turning it on, and dialing the Strobe to full. Tap RECORD, and tap a Playback. Then go into the settings of that Playback by holding SETUP + tapping its button, and choose Fader Controls Beamshape. Click OK, and this fader will control the rate of the fixture's strobe. Hope that helps, Edward
  8. Hi Eric, Can you confirm the make and model of touchscreen? In the touchscreen calibration screen, is there a line of text saying "Calibration not working?". If so try tapping UPDATE, and then try pressing the blue squares again. Edward
  9. Hi Eric, Sorry to hear this. If you are able to press the calibration squares I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to draw on it. If you press ENTER to confirm, does touch then continue to work? What software version is your new FLX running? Depending on the age it may not be running the latest, which is ZerOS 7.9.4, available to download here... http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ You can find out the current software version by tapping Z -> System Information. Hope that helps, let me know how you get on. Edward
  10. Hi Martin, This feature was in beta, and hasn’t yet come to FLX in release software. We are still looking to implement this in the future. Edward
  11. Hello, Programmer Time will fade syntax, palettes, clearing the programmer, and releasing cue stacks. To setup Programmer time, hold SETUP + tap an empty Playback, and choose Programmer Time. You can enable Page Lock on this playback so you always have it available if you wish. Click OK, and tapping SUBMASTERS will show you the fade time in the faders window. The Playback’s button will enable or disable the time. See more information here... http://support.zero88.com/1011402011/What-is-Programmer-Time.htm Hope that helps, Edward
  12. Hi Veit, Solution consoles except MIDI Show Control, MIDI Timecode, and MIDI Notes messages. MIDI Show Control (MSC) will only trigger the Master Playback- the cue list number is not used by ZerOS, only the cue number. MIDI Timecode can be used to trigger any cue on any playback, by typing a Timecode stamp in for a cue in its settings. MIDI Notes can be used to control a single fixture. You can configure this in SETUP -> Inputs & Outputs -> MIDI Notes -> Channels. Hope that helps, Edward
  13. Hi Andy, What version of Windows were you running on your PC? We have occassionally heard of reports of US B drives not being formatted correctly using Windows 10. Therefore if you're able to get your hands on a Windows 7 PC, it would certainly be worth a try. If that doesn't work, try following the steps below... http://support.zero88.com/998317101 You'll be pleased to hear once you're on ZerOS 7.9.4 (ZerOS 7.9.2 or later) future software updates can simply be loaded in to the LeapFrog from USB. Let me know how you get on. Edward
  14. Hi Eric, No worries, pleased to hear you’re going to go ahead and choose FLX! As always if you have any queries let us know. Edward
  15. Hello, In response to your FLX questions: 1/ You can record cues in whatever order you want. On all ZerOS consoles (FLX, FLX S, Solution etc) there is a maximum cue count of 10,000, so as long as you are recording within this range you will be fine. Regarding programming in a random order, you could also consider programming each rehearsal group as a separate Playback fader, as each playback can contain multiple cues. Or you can add in “Next” cues into cue 53 in your example, that will jump you back to cue 35 automatically. You are also able to record empty cues and give them names if you wish to visually indicate what you need to record, and then update them at a later date. 2/ You can record on FLX to 2 decimal places, therefore you can actually have 99 cues between 2 whole cue numbers. There is no Insert button like there is on Jester, as you just type the cue number you want after tapping record. For example typing RECORD 1.5 tap Master Playbacks button, will store your cue as 1.5 onto the master playback. 3/ You can copy playbacks, and also copy cues. When copying cues you can copy them to a new location in the Playback, or copy them to a cue in a different playback. 4/ Updating cues is very easy on FLX, as after updating a cue the values are automatically grabbed into the cue, so you don’t need to clear the programmer- useful for on the fly updates. FLX is as standard a Tracking console, which means updating a cue can automatically update subsequent cues for you if needs be. 5/ Addition of Wings does not increase Playback count- this is still limited to 240 plus the master playback (241). However with a maximum of 6 Wings connected via a USB hub, it gives you hands on access to extra channels or playbacks, reducing the need to change pages in a large show. 6/ As point 3, you can copy cues around to whatever playback you want. 7/ For a list of compatible touch screens, see below... http://support.zero88.com/975056031 We do have an ongoing list of potential training videos, that are in the pipeline to be made in the future. Regarding possible effects, FLX consoles have 32 in-built effects, plus the ability to apply custom effects to each parameter per fixture. The video below shows you the ability to offset these effects... Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  16. Hi Jim, My first thought would be to take a look in the Playback Settings. Access these by holding SETUP + tapping the Playback’s button. Under Raise & Lower, what is the trigger level set to? If you disable Release on Lower, do you still see the problem? Edward
  17. Hi Mitchells, If you want to keep the new LED pars separate, I'm guessing they're going to be doing different things to your existing 8 fixtures, so you'll need to edit your cues for this anyway. Otherwise you can do as Jon suggested, and pair your new fixtures up to your existing fixtures, adding an extra DMX address for each existing fixture, so that you have 2 fixtures responding per channel. Edward
  18. Hello, If you mean copy say channel 1 fixture to 2 so that the same fixture type is patched on multiple channel numbers, you aren't able to do this. You would have to go to Add Fixtures, and patch the new fixture in. If you mean can you copy fixture information from one to another, this is only available on our ORB series consoles. Edward
  19. Hi Martin, The console will always put your cues in to the greatest value it can. Therefore to record the very first available point cue you would have to type .01, rather than .1 - which although the second decimal place is missing is in fact .10, as that is the tenth point cue available. This tidies up the programming, so that every time you have a single point cue between 2 cues you just see .5, rather than .50. Hope that makes sense, Edward
  20. Hi Kevin, Many thanks for your comments. In a future software update, we are going to be improving the FLX copying, and also bring the "Move" functionality. Currently regarding copying groups, once you've tapped GROUP at the start of the syntax, you don't need to tap it again. For example GROUP 1 COPY 2. This saves a button press, but I appreciate your suggestion is a little more user-friendly, rather than fully syntax based. Edward
  21. Hi Kevin, This is something we can look into. Whenever we're experimenting with fixture files, we'll add a version number to the end of the fixture's mode to see which is which. I'm guessing you have many separate User Files for other fixtures on the console, which is why you don't want to Clear all from the desk- currently there is no way to remove an individual fixture from the library. Using Clear Fixtures from Clear options will remove all user fixtures from the console unless they are currently patched, in which case they will be left in the library. Edward
  22. Hi Tribo, Great, no problem! Any queries let us know. Edward
  23. Hi Kevin, The main aim is to use the knowledgebase search bar at the top, or hopefully they should appear in Google searches too. However, you should also be able to find them under the console's article list. I have gone through and updated this, so their should be many more now listed for FLX. Edward
  24. Hi Tribo, As Kevin suggested, make sure the battery is healthy. Software updates will not be installed if the console is losing its Date/Time. If you have replaced the battery recently and are still experiencing error messages whilst trying to update the software, format the floppy disk from the console. This can be found in Super User. Then plug the floppy disk into your PC and simply drag the software file onto the floppy. Hope that helps, let us know how you get on. Edward
  25. Hi Erics, Thank you for your comments. In relation to this, I have made a knowledgebase article covering these different options. Please see here... http://support.zero88.com/1077997011 Any queries let me know Edward
