Hi All. I am going back to stage one to set up my desk as I have quickly realised that the programming becomes so much easier with a healthy and flexible set of pallettes available. Unfortunately when playing with the colour pallettes when automatically creating them there are a number that appear without the colour slash (logo) indicator on them, a number that appear with the wrong colour slash (logo) indicator and a few which repeat the colour but with either no or the wrong colour slash (logo) indicator. Am I doing something wrong.....?? Any help much appreciated please.

Pinky........I would not be too hasty in immediately saying there is a technical fault with the desk. I had the same problem with my desk when getting it new a few weeks back. I persevered and the issue was the desk not seeing the touchscreen. I updated the software and hey presto... it worked. Is your touchscreen on the compatible list on the Eaton website. Dont worry if it is not as this is being added to all the time.

Hi FLX guru's. I have just taken hold of an FLX desk and a wing. I am well educated in the general approach to setting up a controller and using it. My experience to date has been on Freestyler but obviously the FLX has more to offer. There are so many questions and ideas I have for the set up but find the new programming and execution approach of the FLX a little extraordinary. No besmirch to Zero88 it is just my previous experience that is lacking to transition to use the desk. Is there anyone out there that would be happy to put a couple of hours a week aside and via Skype tutor me through the fundamentals please. I have an event in Sep I am working towards with a new controller (FLX) and fixtures so a complete step change from what I am used to. I just come across some stuff that is not on the logical thought process and need that in depth knowledge. Happy to pay for the guidance. Just to say the Zero 88 team have been great and I have been on a training course with them. I just feel that some one to one understanding what I have and where I want to go would be a huge advantage to me. If you can help please message me. Best Rgds Mac

Thanks Ed, on changing the colour wheel I only get the colours already on the palette. I am assuming you mean there is some where to get into the RGB levels and set something suitable but I am stuffed to be able to find it mate...??

All good on that now thanks Ed. One thing I do note is that when I have this fixture selected and looking at the colour pallets there are a number not blue i.e. Orange for example. How do I create orange on the desk and get it into that palette please..?? Rgds Mac

Hi Ed, I am trying to update PhantomOS at home but cannot seem to get the latest fixture file with colours and gobo's that are in this file. You mention selecting M1..... what does that mean please,>>>//

Hi Ed, yes done that and have the green tick next to capture. I will do the other bit of fault finding later this evening. Incidentally if I ping from the laptop to the IP address on the desk namely as you suggest 192.168.1.101.... should that be successful....?? Unfortunately it is not. I have pinged from the laptop to check internal config i.e 127.0.0.1 and all good Hi Ed, if it comes to it could I bring the desk to Cwmbran on Thursday.... middle PM to see if we can resolve the issues I am having if at all possible please....??

Thanks Ed, I have downloaded the new fixture library and selected the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR. When selecting the colour palette and auto create the colour pallets are there so thanks very much. Unfortunately when selecting beam for the gobo's I hit the middle encoder for gobo and nothing there....??

Hi Ed, thanks for the info but unfortunately I do not have (seem to have) the desk talking to the PC. I have set the IP addresses to what you suggest so that is in the desk, the PC and also the Capture software. I have only loaded 1 fixture in both the desk and in Capture (Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140 SR) but have no control as yet. I have managed to get control with the PhantomOS setup at home so this is definately a config issue I would presume. I have been through the manual but there is nothing that covers this in any detail. Really appreciate your help.....??

Yip... just loaded it on the desk and thanks very much ED. To get the Gobo Logos, do I need to do that myself in the fixture editor...??

Hi, I have everything connected up between desk and PC with Capture visualiser. Unfortunately I do not have the signal going to the visualiser from the desk. I suspect I am using the wrong cable as the one I am currently using I found in the bottom of a drawer. Looking at RJ45 images there are many different types of cable. Can anyone please advise...??

Hi, I have selected a fixture (Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR) and looking at the colour palettes. When using Auto nothing is created. I went on to manually create colour palettes and name them but I dont get the colour indicators (colour slashes) which is what I really want. Same kind of question for getting gobo logos on the pallet buttons......?? Can anyone help please...??

Hi Edward, I have loaded everything as guided in the capture instructions. I have had a couple of the shows playing but wanted to try out my own movers on a basic stage. I have built that in capture and only used two movers to learn with in the desk (FLX). when in the output window I select a fixture the correct fixture is highlighted in capture. So they seem to be talking in some way at least. Unfortunately when I bring the intensity up there is nothing in Capture i.e. beam but in the FLX Output window intensity is at 100%.

Hi Peter, I also have the same problem with Capture but do not know what you mean by ''Note that in order to connect to a visualiser, you do need an Ethernet connection active - you can't just use the loopback, even if Capture is running on the same PC'' could you help please....??
