  1. Hi Edward No, I certainly came out of setup after patching - remember this has happened twice now, once when I had been doing patching, then a few days (and rehearsals) later. We haven't added any fixtures since 35 (36 was going to be smoke but we abandoned that) and all other fixtures were already patched and set. We have RDM turned off as our Robe 600's don't like it. Fixture 35 is a dimmer channel on a Chilli 2410 pack (we've two making 48 channels) so no RDM either. Peter
  2. What are these terms of which you speak...? Let's get diaries together.
  3. Evening! I patched in our back line of halogens a fortnight ago, desk channel 35, DMX channel 26. They were working all night whilst I focussed. The next night, @robhurt came to program and the halogens weren't working - channel 35 was still patched as a dimmer fixture but with no DMX assignment. We patched back in and continued. Rob has saved to his USB stick every night after programming or rehearsals. Tonight we've come to run a rehearsal and the DMX assignment is missing again... Attached is last night's saved file. Thoughts? Peter Red Riding Hood 2020.isf
  4. I understand what you've done, and re-reading the manual tells me that mode 1 and 5 are identical in function, just with a different DMX channel order - which facilitates a custom mode 5 fixture definition, allowing 2x RGBW after it. However I also noticed the virtual colour wheel which I wasn't consciously aware of before - though Rob uses it more than I do. Can the colour effects (of the normal fixture definition) apply to the virtual colour wheel, thus affecting the whole fixture colour (zones 1-3 together) as a normal RGBW LED light would? (We have Prolights LEDPAR64's). I think that's the bit that Rob struggles with? Peter
  5. Ooh, interesting idea... We're in Mode 1 at the moment; I've not read the DMX chart on which is which recently but Rob wanted mode 1 so that's what we did. I'll load that into desk sometime this week, but i've to remove the flat-pack stage first (we're a church first and foremost) before I'll have time to play with the lights; they'll stay rigged on the bar though so plenty of time. Peter
  6. Hello! Me and @robhurt have just purchased some Robe Robin 600 LED Washes that we used to hire regularly, but they were being sold off so we bought them outright. We always "put up" with using the in-built colour presets (using the wheel-blob on page 5(?) of the colour screen), or occasionally updating the basic default colour pallettes (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta...) with the colour values of the 600's by setting each zone to red, then updating pallette, then setting each zone to blue, then updating pallette..... etc etc etc But, that still doesn't allow the FLX colour effects to work. And using the inbuilt colour effects sets the same value to all units, there's no offset or speed control. Can anyone help with our understanding, mis-understanding or approach to using colour effects on zoned units such as these 600's? They don't take RGB/CMY values, they take brightnesses of red LED zone 1, blue LED zone 3, etc. Peter
  7. Right, i've subsequently found the two threads below (neither called "...effects..." so I didn't see them): Downloading the library file within the second thread has fixed the issue, so please add us to the list of customers affected by this problem. (Original FLX for reference) Peter
  8. Help.... Dress Rehearsal in two hours.... We've just updated desk from 7.9.4 to 7.9.5 to get the additional effects that @robhurt has been waiting for. However when you go to "Automatically update effects" it says there are NO effects - even the ones from 7.9.4 have disappeared. This is with a blank show file and a single patched fixture (Martin Mac 250 Krypton - Enhanced mode) , not even using our existing show file. I've downloaded Phantom 7.9.5 and can see that all the effects are working in there. This was originally with the "prep USB stick, then power up with stick inserted" method; we tried "Setup > Load > install" but this bricked the console, wouldn't boot pass the segments going dizzy on the channel/page LCD. Reloading via prepped stick has got the console working again. Any advice? Peter

    Effect, be gone!

Ah, yes, the wonderful smarttag that everyone* hates. (*Me and Rob hate cos it gets us in a pickle every blooming year!!!!) I had a feeling it was tagging so I made absolutely sure every parameter was tagged (blue box) yet still it wasn't doing anything. :-) Problem solved! Peter

    Effect, be gone!

Hi. I'm with @robhurt on a show. Dress is this Friday, to open on Saturday. Cue 46 in the attached file is blackout before the interval, then cue 47 is the interval lights. Channels 9+10 (Infinity iW1915) have an effect on them in cues 45.* We cannot persuade the FLX to stop that effect when we go to 46. It is moving on dark ("Source: D") but the effect is still active so the fixtures are still dancing. However the next time they are used is cue 49, static position with intensity. Opening them in OrbFX Phantom I can't see the effect showing anywhere, though I don't pretend to know FLX or Orb in any great depth. The same is true about 4-5 other times in the show, where we can't stop the effect, but 46 is the easiest to work out what's happening. We expected that 9+10 > Effect > No Effect > Update > Enter would sort it.... but the effect starts again as soon as you hit enter. Any suggestions? Peter Old Mother Hubbard 2019.isf
  11. Bonjour et Bienvenue Eric. Je suis Anglais, et j'adore parler en français - mais j'ai oublié tous les mots après l'école! Peter
  12. Apparently not! I am for various forums/products, but not for Zero88.
  13. kgallen, we can't see whatever you posted under your sentence there?
  14. Sorry, just realised this is posted in the Fixture Request forum! I thought I was only subscribed to the FLX forum so was giving you an FLX response! Peter
  15. HI Ben Are you aware of/familiar with the Fixture Editor? http://support.zero88.com/Fixture-Library/975405071/Fixture-Tools.htm I've used that to create my own profiles when needed. Peter
  16. Should point out, the Mac700's don't seem to MoD when intensity is 0 - you have to set Shutter to Closed to get them to MoD. I presume that's a Mac700 fault/design, not an ZerOS bug? Peter.
  17. Thanks Edward. Rob thought he'd seen that page before but we couldn't find it searching the forums - (I) didn't realise there was a KB section. Peter
  18. Hello. We're confused with some cues that aren't tracking MoD as we're expecting, but we can't find anything anywhere telling us what the colours mean. Can someone point us at a document/guide that explains the colours and letters? D? P? Red/Blue/Purple text? Grey background? On the source page it shows "D" in black on a grey background, when it should actually be blank. Peter & Rob.
  19. We've got the desk back but we're mid-run with the borrowed desk so won't be looking at it until Sunday. If Rob knows anything / if there's any notes inside, we'll let you know. Peter
  20. Hi James. Have you considered putting that cue onto one of the other playbacks? You have 10 pages of 24 playbacks, each with their own Go button. So you could put that cue onto playback 24 (next to the main Playback 0) and fire it that way. You might need to Setup+[Flash button on 24] to set the button as a Go button, I'm not at my desk right now. Pete
  21. I only got the desk out on Saturday afternoon, for next weekends show - it's been in the storeroom since our Panto at February half term. The patch is the same as Feb so I just kept the existing show as stored in the desk, deleted the cuestack, patched in the two (previously unused) RGB strips as eight RGB (3ch) fixtures in 109-116 then immediately tried to use those channel select buttons on page 5. Having messed about all day, but never powered down 'till I went home, I didn't get anywhere. I came back to it on Sunday afternoon and repatched from ch300+ down to ch 47-48 two of our 7ch LED PARs. That's when I realised channel select on 47-48 wasn't working either (it didn't select the channels, ie they didn't appear in the orange "table" that pops up with fixture name and param values, and the encoder wheels didn't populate with params) BUT, shortly after, I realised that page 5 was now working. So I tried a reboot of the desk and ch47-48 started working. So it's something to do with patching/repatching then trying to use channel select buttons before you've power cycled. Hehe, sorry - I thought I was being right good calling them that as I know other consoles i've used previously called them that, but as I've only used three consoles in my life I might be completely unlucky to have used non-commonly-named buttons! Peter

  23. Aha.... Methinks it is a bug. (We're on 7.9.2 but not .50) If I power off and on again, the buttons start working, so 109-116 are working currently but 47-48 arent. Power off the desk and back on, 47-48 now working. Peter
  24. Ive just moved two LED pars from 300+ down to 47+48 and theyre not working either. Youre correct, theres no fader control either. But, if you select 47 thru 48 with keyboard, the channel LEDs light up. Actually, if I press 47 bump key, the command line shows Select fixture 47 - so its seeing the button press but not reacting to it... Ill upload file when my operator arrives soonish - my USB key doesnt work! :-)
  25. Hi. I've just added two more LED strips which are programmed as 8x RGB fixtures. We have them on fixture channels 13-20, and their respective channel numbers on the following pages. I've discovered tonight, having added the new ones, that the bump keys on page 5 and upwards aren't selecting channels. I can type 109-116 and the screen shows me the correct fixtures and params on the encoders, but using the bump keys on channels 109-116 (page 5) don't do anything. Is this a software setting we need to turn on that we've forgotten we'd previously done for other channels, or a PICNIC, or a bug? ("Problem In Chair, Not In Computer" if you were wondering!) Peter
