  1. Unfortunately there arent many actual keyboard shortcuts for the Phantom Frog application. The F1 to F4 keys replicate those on the desk, and the keyboard itself works when naming etc. + and - are replicated by the vertical arrow keys, whilst < and > are replicated by the horizontal keys. Contrl+F1 thru F6 replicate the external triggers on the 8 pin DIN. Finally, with Scroll Lock disabled, the ENTER button acts as a GO button. HTH
  2. It looks like you held down SHIFT and pressed the PAGE A button, locking the Preset A buttons into Auxiliary mode (on the monitor, it shows AUXLOCKED). To unlock, hold down SHIFT and press the PAGE A button. Now you should regain single channel flash buttons
  3. Yes, recording something automatically untags that parameter from programming.
  4. The fixture file you created had a default value of 0 on the Shutter channel, which means that when you homed the fixture the dimmer would be closed. I have edited the fixture file to include a little more information (RGB details for colours, Macros, etc) and have altered the names of the parameters to match our standard naming. The modified file is attached. Peter
  5. Please get in touch with Keith on Monday morning and he will talk you through checking the desk out. You can contact him on the main Zero88 number - +44 1633 838088. Peter
  6. If you can provide the DMX information for the fixture, I can create a profile for you - at present, I can't find the information.
  7. The Phantom Frog software replicates the desk functionality so you patch the fixtures in the same way you would on the desk. Ensure the Floppy Path is set to the location of your fixture files, before pressing Run on Phantom Frog.

    chases

Chases should be transferred onto submasters using the Transfer (with/no) Time button(s). Select the memory you wish to transfer, then press the relevant transfer button (with time takes the fade time of the memory, no time sets the time parameters to 0s) and select the submaster you wish to transfer the memory to. If you want the chase to run continuously, make sure you have set the 'Shots' parameter to 0. To create moving light chases, simply program each step of the moving lights into a chase as you would with generics. Peter
  9. We're currently working on a release of software for the frogs which adds this sort of functionality (FR 5351). Keep checking back for updates, but for now you're programming in the most efficient way already.
  10. Hi Lagstorm The Martin Atomic 3000 should strobe once if you just set the fixture at full, so you would need to program two cues in a stack - an at full, and an at 0. Run that at twice the tempo of the music and you'll get the effect you're after (if you run it at the tempo of the music, then you'll only get a flash every second beat!)
  11. Attached to this reply The new library will be released shortly.
  12. Hi Lagstorm Can you please PM me the serial number of your desk, and also all the information displayed in the Software Versions screen. This will help to track down what is causing the problem here. Thanks
  13. Altering the virtual brightness of a fixture is fairly straightfoward - select the fixture(s) you wish to alter, press Brightness, so that the wheels change function and the middle wheel becomes Dimmer. Now wheel the intensity down, and the virtual brightness levels will be reduced. Once these are at 0%, the fixtures will replay their brightnesses at the level they were at when you programmed the memory (or submaster).
  14. 2. All dimmer channels have a recorded level in every cue. When you press Program, all the dimmer channels output levels are read and stored in that cue. Therefore, the scenario you describe doesn't really happen. 3. Memory 0 (--) is a blackout memory, but doesn't allow the use of fade times. If you're in partial mode you could just pull down the A master, dim out your fixtures and record a memory of your own. This would allow the use of fade times. Remember to detag the fixtures you don't want to use.
  15. colx, This guide by Mike Falconer might help you out. The Frog does not have a 'move on dark' function which is essentially what you are asking for. To move the fixtures whilst dark, you will need to create follow on cues such as those you describe in #3. The brightness of the moving lights is defined by their levels on submasters, memories or on the fixture wheels themselves. This is mixed highest takes precidence (HTP) so if any of the above are 'up', the fixture will be outputting. You would need to ensure that all of these are down before beginning playback if you want a true representation of what is programmed. The Home button homes the fixtures and sets their intensity to 100%. You can define this action by editing the fixture personality using the fixture tools, available in the Fixtures section of this forum. If you set the default value of a dimmer channel to 0%, homing the fixture would go to 50/50 but with the dimmer at 0%. Bear in mind that homing also tags the fixtures, so you may like to get into the habbit of also holding the fixture button for 3 seconds after Home, which will untag the fixtures. I hope this helps
  16. Zero88 are proud to announce the release of Version 4 of the Frog 2 operating system. Release 4 marks a milestone in the Frog 2 updates and includes a host of new features including improved auto-palettes, adjustable fixture wheel sensitivity and learn mode for cue stacks. The Update functionality has also been completely revamped giving an extremely powerful interface for users and the ability to build looks and filter updates to the appropriate location. This release also sees significant improvements in the speed and boot time of the desk. To download the software for yourself, please click here. Please note that this is a full CD update and will require firmware updates to be performed. See the attached Instructions pdf document for full details. Zero88 recommend using DeepBurner to burn the ISO file to a CD. For release notes, which detail the many bug fixes and functionality improvements, click here.
  17. You are correct that the Mambo cannot handle virtual channels. The only way to gain HTP control over your fixture colour is to use 3 fixtures as Red, Green and Blue. Unfortunately the virtual intensity is currently a Frog 2 function only.
  18. I have created a fixture profile for these fixtures, which is attached. It will be included with the next release of the fixture library.
  19. There is a Coemar iWash 575 EB in the fixture library, which can be found here. I don't think there is much, if any, different between the MB and EB versions of the fixtures, as all this relates to is the ability to hot or cold restrike the lamps, AFAIK. If you know differently, please do let me know.
  20. Unfortunately there isnt a method for global updates as you suggest, however you can scale the patch or apply a topset. Both of these are covered in the manual.
  21. Okay, to reassign the DMX patch for generic channels... -Go into Super User (+, - and ENTER) -Go to Desk Setup -Go to Patch Functions -Go to Manual Patch -Press the flash button under the channel you wish to REMOVE the patch from -Press Clear -Now press the channel you wish to add the patch to, and use the + and - keys to set the appropriate DMX address. -If you wish to patch more than one DMX address to a single channel, press the INSERT button. I'm not sure I understand your scenario with programming submasters, can you try to explain again? HTH
  22. You might like to have a look at the Associated Channel function, see page 3-10 of the Illusion Manual.
  23. Unfortunately the Frog range do not have a move on dark feature at present, which is what you are asking for. This is something we're looking at doing in the future, so keep checking back. For now, you'll have to continue manually programming the move on darks. Peter
  24. Hi Zhack Your console does not support moving lights. Moving lights are only available with the Fat Frog, Leap Frog, Bull Frog and Mambo Frog consoles. The Frog which you have is a 48 channel generics only desk. This would explain your difficulties in assigning moving lights, apologies for the confusion. Peter
