Even better, I've done all 4 for you.... attached. They'll be included in the next library release. mh575s.ift
-
This fixture is included in the latest library (version 19)
-
We can do this for you if you let me know the model (Trackpod xx - there seem to be 5 models) and mode (which channel mode) you require.
-
This is something we're looking at including in a future release of software. Please feel free to list the Chinese fixtures affected and we'll make sure we include them in the updated version. Cheers, Peter

It's a simple contact closure - all you need to do is wire a push button between the required pins. The pin-out is stated in the back of the user manual. Hope this helps,
-
Your best bet is to email support@zero88.com for details - we'll get in touch with information about how to unlock the desk, and about what we need to do so. Hope this helps, Peter

Hi miclight The way I would do this is: Program 2 cues in your cue stack - one as the "Hazer On" cue and one as the "Hazer off" cue. Set the trigger of the Hazer off cue to "Auto, time 20 minutes" Then Using SHIFT+COPY, transfer those 2 cues as a range onto a submaster. This converts the submaster to a mini cue stack (referencing the big cue stack under Memories) and the flash button acts as a GO button. Now record a MACRO which presses the (submaster flash) GO button - you might like to include a press of the Sub Page Up/Dn buttons together at the start of the macro, as this will automatically snap the submaster page to Page 1 - if you don't do this and your submasters are on a different page, triggering the macro will make nothing happen. Because you've transferred the second cue (with the Auto trigger) as well as the first one, the act of pressing the go button will automatically (after 20 minutes) trigger the 'off' cue. You can then link that macro into any cue you like, to trigger a 20 minute burst of haze as required, or trigger it manually using the Macro MFKs. It's not the prettiest method in the world but it's really powerful - using the transferred cue ranges, you can have upto 30 cues simultaneously active on your cue stack with things like this. Hope this helps - if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to let me know. Peter

Looks like Sam took it down. Brian posted a link to a backup of it here. Hope this helps, Peter

HTP-mode and record with Preset control
Kirkup_xp replied to Thomas Haaser's topic in Leap Frog 48 & 96
Hi Thomas To create the chase that you are trying to achieve, you need to do one of two things: 1. Use LTP mode. In LTP mode, moving a fader will tag it in the programmer, so if you don't move Preset 1 (or move it and then hold down CLEAR and move it again to untag it) then your chase will only contain channels 2,3 and 4. To do this you will need Smart Tags disabled, as when they are enabled they desk will also store channel 1 (because that channel is 'different' to the value it was already at). 2. Use HTP mode and turn off Channel 1. In this situation the desk will store channels 2,3,4 but not 1 because it is off. In HTP mode the desk will store ALL preset channels when you press RECORD and they will be mixed HTP. It is important to note that in HTP mode, the fader levels are not shown in the Program Window because they will not be affected by the CLEAR button. In LTP mode they appear in the program window because they will be affected by the CLEAR button. I hope this helps to clear things up a bit. Peter -
Hi Daniel Can you confirm what you were doing when controlling the fixtures with the UDF - a step by step guide would be great I've had a go this end and it seems fine. Thanks, Peter
-
Hi Kevin This is actually a bug in the fixture you've created - if you double click on the little fixture icon in the Parameters tab of the fixture editor, you'll see a popup detailing the "DMX Allocate" - this is the number of DMX channels the fixture will take up. If you've edited from your 3 channel fixture to a 1 channel fixture, this will still be 3 channels. Change this to 1 and reload it onto the desk and you'll see it'll take just one channel. Hope this helps, Peter Moderation: topics merged

Hi Carwyn Copy will copy the *programming* in the cue, not the state of the cue itself. Because the desk is tracking, this means that copying may not copy the whole state. To record the whole state into another memory or submaster, play it back and record it into the new location with Smart Tag enabled. Hope this helps, Peter

The UDK fade time thing is a bug which crept in during the development of version 4.3 software and unfortunately wasn't picked up in testing. It'll be fixed in the next release. As for loading a UDF, i'll take a look at this and let you know what's going on.

Hi there Firstly, if the desk is 'crashing' when you are trying to create a chase then it will be prompting you to save a debug file when you reboot. If this is the case, please can you email this debug file to support@zero88.com and we'll take a look at it as soon as possible to work out what is causing the crash. Without these debug files, there is little our R&D team can do to recreate these bugs - we have extensively tested the recording of chases in version 3 software and as far as we can tell it is working fine. What are the bugs you refer to in copying cues? Copying a cue will only copy the programmed channels from that cue - if you want to copy the whole look, you need to output that scene and record it in the new location, with Smart Tag enabled. I've never seen anything like the certain cue numbers not liking being recorded onto. Are you working on an old show file, or performing a Reset Desk each time you start afresh? It's possible something old is being kept in the memory erroneously - again, emailing us a show file would really help here. If you'd like to talk to us directly, please feel free to call the Zero 88 office on 01633 838088 during office hours and we'll be happy to discuss these problems and solutions to them. Kind Regards, Peter

Hi there You just need a Wireless access point or Wireless router, no internet connection or computer is required. It might be helpful to have a laptop around whilst configuring the router. Hope this helps, Peter

Hi Stuart You need to set the Floppy Path when Phantom starts up to point to your floppy drive, or to a folder on your PC. Then when you save it will save to this location - if you chose a folder on your PC, you can manually copy the show files onto a floppy disk. Hope this helps, Peter

Here you go xp3.ift

The Leap Frog works well with Vari-Lite fixtures so you shouldn't have any problems - we've done extensive testing of our fixture libraries and work hard to ensure that these are supported across the industry - we have over 1800 moving lights supported by the desk. Hope this helps,

If I have to do the UDF fade times a lot, I create a macro which does GROUP GROUP TIME 0 ENTER UPDATE ENTER. Then all I need to do is load the UDF, run the macro and the times are changed Just remember not to do it when you've got anything else loaded into the programmer
-
It's a new function in version 4.3
-
Hi mlogan Can you explain a little more about the problems you're having - what is recorded into the cue, what are you trying to update, and what happens when you do update? And how are you performing the update? The update function appears to be working fine on our desks here and is something we've tested pretty thoroughly prior to release. Perhaps you could email me a show file to try out - pkirkup@zero88.com. I'm really sorry you're having these problems, let's hope we can get them sorted. Peter

Hi Bilderbuch The easiest thing to do is to modify the fixture profile so that it has the gobo channel as the brightness parameter. Bear in mind that by doing this you will not be able to use palettes for gobos. You should then be able to record your submasters as normal. Hope this helps, Peter
-
Yep - place the letter M followed by the macro number (eg M6) in the comments column of the Cue Stack window. Hope this helps,

Hi Christian This sounds like there may be a problem with the battery inside the desk, as this battery backs up the NVR and keeps the clock running. This will have been fitted and checked at the factory so the only thing I can think of is that somehow the battery has run flat very quickly or that it has become loose somehow. As a quick check if you boot the desk into TEST mode by holding down SETUP whilst the desk boots, you'll be able to perform an NVR test (button in the "other tests" tab) - this will let you know whether the memory itself is working correctly. The battery is very easy to replace on the main board inside the desk and is available from most standard electrical wholesalers. Your desk will still be covered by warranty so please feel free to get in touch with the distributor who you bought the desk from to arrange a repair. The normal behaviour is that your show file would be stored on the desk itself when you power off the console, so you shouldn't be seeing any data being lost. We don't offer hard-drive like show file storage on the desk, it's only the current show file which is stored on the desk itself. The boot sequence of the console always looks for the USB drive first due to the software upgrade mechanism using the USB sticks to perform the upgrade. Hope this helps, Peter

Hi Sav Can you confirm the software versions the desk is running, as this isn't normal behavior at all. Might be best to give Keith at the office a call on Monday and he'll be able to talk you through finding out whats going on on the desk. Hope this helps, Peter
