  1. Thanks Thomas - we've logged this as a suggestion for a future release, reference ZOS-1575. At present it shows the next free address which is fine if you have addressed sequentially but as you have found doesn't work very well if you leave gaps in your fixture assignment. I hope we'll be able to include this in a future software release, Regards,
  2. Hi Nathan Hold down SETUP and press COLOUR - then choose the Colour Edit Mode - the desk will let you choose between RGB and CMY. I hope this helps, Peter
  3. Hi Thomas That is all there is. Thanks
  4. Hi Voice You can use "add Fixtures" to patch dimmers too - select "Standard Fixtures" at the manufacfturer stage then "Dimmer", enter the DMX address and then press the fader you want to patch it to. Or use Edit Fixtures as you've already identified. The difference with Add Fixtures is that you're adding an entirely new fixture so there will be no cue information for that channel whereas Edit Fixtures will retain the cue information. I hope this helps explain, Regards,
  5. Hi Thomas For Mixing Colours: Set either Cyan + or -, Magenta + or - or Yellow + or - for mixing channels (or RGB+ or -). This will generate the default 10 palettes (Red, Green, Blue, Orange, Violet, etc) For Fixed Colours: Set an RGB value on the Details parameter for that value. For Gobos: Set the Gobo channel details to "Gobo N" as the text name (you can put characters afterwards, like "Gobo 4 - Rotate" - the desk will just use the first few characters). The channel name must also be "Gobo1<>" or "Gobo 1" (the <> shows it rotates). I hope this helps,
  6. Personality file attached. mvs.ift
  7. For now they're all large but we've had a number of requests for a software option to switch the size back down to the smaller font. This is being considered for a future release. I hope this helps,
  8. Then someone with a Leap Frog 96 (which has 30 subs, hence the limit) will come along and want 126 submasters.... I'm not sure the desk would want to process 126 submaster faders at once... We just x3 the number of subs you've got already
  9. Hi Brian Have you considered recording each of these "states" to a submaster and then building the show sequentially by bringing up/down the submasters as required. As I explained when I visited the desk is only recording changes between cues, so you really do have to work sequentially through the show for the correct data to be recorded each time. I hope this helps, Peter
  10. Of course Alex - let us know how you get on, Regards,
  11. Hi Sam The desk has dual DMX outputs, so it can output two identical sets of 512 channels (which negates the need for a DMX splitter). The Bull Frog and Mambo Frog desks in the range have seperate DMX universes, giving 1024 channels, as do the new Leap Frog 48 and Leap Frog 96 desks. I hope this helps clear things up, Peter
  12. Hi Alex I'd advise calling AC Lighting (based in High Wycombe) who will probably have a PSU in stock. They should be able to advise costs.
  13. Hi A91719 It would help if you could let us know where in the world you are. We hold these items in stock and so would be able to dispatch one for you tomorrow - give the sales team a call on 01633 838088 - or contact your local distributor (http://www.zero88.com/en/distributors) for stock information. I hope this helps,
  14. Hi Olly 16-bit dimming is quite a complex function and would require a complete rewrite of the way dimmers are processed in the original Frog range software. This is unlikely to happen now that the product has been discontinued - we have added support for 16-bit dimming to the ZerOS consoles (Leap Frog 48, Leap Frog 96, Frog 2 and coming soon ORB), so if this is a requirement for you you might like to consider upgrading to a Leap Frog 96. I hope this helps, Regards,
  15. We've merged this thread with a number of others relating to this problem - if you scroll up, you'll be able to see the potential fixes to the problem. I hope this helps, peter
  16. Hi diecastbox I'd do this as follows SETUP Edit Fixtures Multi-select all 96 channels, using Hold first (1), Push Last (96) flash buttons. Go to Patch Tab In the DMX Address field, press the top cell (in the "All" row) - follow the on screen popups (Universe 1, DMX 1) and your patch should be restored. I hope this helps, Peter
  17. Hi Karl To get a 'sub' to a given level you'd need to use a DMX-input desk, or but a TLXtra. The flash buttons can be set to latch rather than flash, if that helps. Peter
  18. Hi Karl When you move from Run mode to Program Mode on the Jester TL(and TLXtra), the outputs of your channels and fixtures do not change. Therefore, you can set up scenes and tags as required in Run mode, then jump into Program mode to record the cue. So yes, what you ask for is achievable. I hope this helps - if you'd like any more information about the TL or TLXtra, don't hesitate to let me know, Regards,
  19. ZerOS is the name for the operating software which runs the Leap Frog 48, Leap Frog 96 and Frog 2 consoles. It will also be used on the ORB console. ZerOS traces it's roots back to 1996 when work commenced on the Sirius 250 and 500 consoles. These consoles were groundbreaking in their complexity and featureset, with functions such as Palettes and CueLine. After the Sirius 250 and 500 came the Illusion 120 and 240, bringing many of the features of the Sirius to the affordable theatre desk for the first time. Development for the original Frog range began in 1999, with moving light control and generic 2 preset operation integrated for the first time at an astonishing price point. This led to the development of the Illusion 500, which built upon the effects engine and CueLine capabilities. As with all of the products by Zero 88, user feedback drove the development of the original Frog range and Illusion range, and this philosophy has carried into the ZerOS consoles too. The software base now known as ZerOS was drawn together from it's ancestors in 2002 when development of the Frog 2 started, prior to it's launch in September 2004. ZerOS has had 7 years to mature into the stable, powerful software base we now use. Initially the software was developed using the Windows XP Embedded operating system, then later ported to the Linux distribution which we use today. The software is common to several products, which maximises the benefit of software development for as many users as possible. As lighting technology has moved on, ZerOS has gained Ethernet support, Colour Pickers and Tracking features, making it our most powerful software base ever. Various off-shoot products such as Alcora/Elara, Diablo and the Jester range were created during this period and the current Jester range maintains the philosophy of a single software base for multiple products. Development continues on ZerOS with the ORB console currently scheduled to show at the Frankfurt Messe (Pro Light & Sound) show on 1st April 2009 featuring a revamped user interface and further powerful software features. Watch this space for updates!
  20. I've collated all the threads about iPhone based remotes together - as you can see, it's something we've had requested a couple of times already. We're looking into it.
  21. Hi Carwyn That sounds odd - can you take a backup of the desk state (Hold SHIFT on powerup on an external keyboard, then choose the "backup desk state to USB"). Email this file to me - peter.kirkup@zero88.com - and we'll take a look. Is your show file particularly large? Thanks, Peter
  22. Hi Mike Here's a solution for you: Take a short DMX cable and link a spare output universe to the DMX In. Then in Desk Setup/Inputs, set a DMX-In address on Submasters 11-30 (increase the Max Submasters to 30 first) and patch the spare channel faders to output on that DMX Output universe using Edit Fixtures. Et Voila - 30 Submasters Does that work for you?
  23. Hi chw That does sound like a perfect application for Arkaos, although if you're looking for integration to LightConverse then Hippotizer has a direct (ethernet) link to Light Converse. For that you'll need the Light Converse Unlimited dongle though. Take a look at the new version of Arkaos - MediaMaster - which is designed specifically for Theatre Lighting Designers, as well.
  24. Shift and the Select buttons for the stacks allows you to select multiple stacks at the same time, so I'd be hesitant to use that 'syntax' for something else. Would VIEW STACK n ENTER work? You can use VIEW CUE mm/nn ENTER to view a particular cue, so the syntax would follow logically.
  25. That's a good idea, although we'd need to work out how not to complicate life for people who just want to select a stack and view the cues on that stack. What about the syntax VIEW STACK n ENTER would bring up a copy of the cue stack window which is locked to that stack?
