  1. Recent show seemed perfect for using Groups: 2 halves of stage lit independently at 2 different levels each i.e. Left High, left Low, and same for Right. Set up as 4 separate groups (with intensities), made creating the cue stack so easy. (Other one-off cues as well, but these covered a high percentage of the stack). Then came the problem. I wanted to add an extra lantern to Left High Group. Chose a Left High cue, added the extra lantern at desired intensity. So now I need to update the Group. Selected all the lanterns in that Group, touched UPDATE, touched Group. Should that have worked? Or did I (wrongly) double tap group, turn intensities off, and then try to set them again? Either way, results were garbage - random intensities seemed to appear whenever group was used. Couldn't find a way to reset that group, ended up setting each of the relevant cues manually!! Much frustration. I'm sure this is a tale of my idiocy, but I'd appreciate it very much if you would confirm the steps for adding a new fixture, with intensity, to an existing Group! Many thanks.
  2. I'm sure this must be very basic, but just want to check. If I set up single state playbacks on a number (say 4) of faders, and then run the main cue stack on the master playback, can I 'busk' with the 4 other playbacks without affecting the current or subsequent cues on the MPB?
  3. Thanks for the quick reply. I can't find anything in the manual when I search for "Blocked value". Would you explain, please.
  4. Intensity values may be dispayed in in blue, red, white, purple.... Sometimes the meaning is obvious, sometimes not. I'd really value a table showing the implication of each colour. Thanks!
  5. Excellent - thanks very much.
  6. From time to time, the excellent FLX S48 in our multi-user venue is likely to be used as a manual board to set up a few generics on faders, then to raise and lower levels, eg for a talk. Is there a simple way that the Master Playback fader can be set up as a master fader to bring up and down whatever group of faders has been chosen - in channels 1-24 only - without the need for an untrained user to record any cues?
  7. I have just discovered the existence of Phantom Jester, which ought to be hugely useful in a show I'm working on at the moment. But switching between the keyboard (48) view and the monitor image is far from convenient. Is there a way of quickly toggling between the two? There's a lot of black space at the top and bottom of the keyboard image. In a future release, might it be possible to shrink this window vertically so that only the keyboard is diplayed? It could then be overlaid onto the monitor image so that channel levels could be seen beneath the keyboard, or the curent scene details above it.
