  1. Hi Jon. Interesting point. When the ZerOS manual is rendered as a pdf it doesn’t come out that great on the formatting or pagination. Also content wise, it reads more as a ‘reference manual’ than a user manual (I’ve commented this before). It’s all there (when you finally find the right section) but it doesn’t really lead the user through in a ‘friendly, readable way’. The short pages of the online version are hard work to keep the reading thread going, hence the original request for the P/N buttons. Also the search doesn’t seem to be getting any better at presenting the most likely candidates. I appreciate Edward and yourself have spent many hours on this, so I do apologise if I’m sounding ungrateful, that’s not the intention. How do you present the Neo manual? Regards, Kevin
  2. 😛 OK I'm playing my joker... I was perusing the ETC ColorSource manual because a BlueRoomer is looking for a console upgrade from an Illusion... Then I needed to look at the ZerOS manual... 'nuff said. 😁
  3. I know, I know, never happy, always moaning... Pretty Please can we have "Previous" and "Next" page buttons on the Online Manual? It's so tedious to have to keep going back to the menu to get the next page, and doing so on a phone is a real PITA (did I wear that one out already? 😛 ). Buttons top and bottom of the page would be nice 🙏
  4. Then a Topset for the 90%? Depends on the console...
  5. It's an ok green, but we're sad to see the Zero88 brand being diluted... 😞
  6. Edward did you use the FLX colour picker to get the Vari-Lite green for the site? 🤪
  7. For others, on an iPhone it’s in the top right menu (3 lines). Thanks Edward 🙂
  8. The bottom of this manual page says you can manually update the address of a fixture that was originally patched by RigSync. https://www.zero88.com/manuals/zeros/patching/fixture-schedule/edit-dmx-address
  9. Finding stuff like the Online manual is a PITA (it was bad enough before VariLite, now it's... more work than it should be, it's not under Support that I can find, not easily anyway, so then it's dig around under Products...). Could you add a ZerOS online manual link in the Forum header - the banner with Homepage / Forums / All Activity / ... ZerOS Online Manual. Or maybe even more generically "Manuals" then we can find stuff for Frog etc quickly too 😉 Pretty please? 🙂
  10. No you shouldn't need to start physically moving dimmers around, that would of course be madness! Can you access the dimmers? You should be able to set the address on them and then RigSync should keep that. Also you should be able to set the address manually on the desk and then RigSync honour that too. After that you should be able to do "Lock Rig" - then I assume that new fixtures added would still be patched at free addresses. I'm blagging this all though, because I don't have any fixtures that support RDM... (well maybe 2...) Some might say "why do you care about the addresses that RigSync allocates" - but I'm with you, I would want some order in the addressing against physical locations of static items like dimmers, because such order helps when plugging up and diagnosing issues. So don't take "No" for an answer 😉 This any use?
  11. I would use the Effect section. Choose ‘lightning’, wind up the speed and set the offset to random.
  12. Looks better. Desk ID is invalid - start the console again and see if this disappears (console re-wrote the desk ID). Or some internal switches got moved? @KWR88 will know the answer. Keep posting info here, but @KWR88 said above to PM (private-message) him. You should be able to do that by clicking on his icon above or using the envelope icon at the top of the Forum.
  13. Will do. These happened last night (when I was commenting on the MACRO stuff in beta). Posted the above this morning when it worked! Let's see if this reply gets in!
  14. I’m getting cant edit then forbidden access messages again. They persist after a browser restart.
  15. @KWR88 Service Manager (and a whole lot more) at Zero88.
  16. I’m getting the ‘can’t edit’ message again.
  17. Also can you confirm your Leap Frog is green (not blue).
  18. I think it unlikely the motherboard is broken. Either @iank99 or @KWR88 can give you more detail on next steps.
  19. Hi Renato. First check/replace the internal battery.
  20. A little off topic but Stage Electrics finally got in a stock of 500W T18/T25 Tungsram lamps at a sensible price of about £9 each, rather than the crazy £20-up I’ve been seeing recently. I stocked up for our local venue that runs Quartets/Minuettes. https://www.stage-electrics.co.uk/View/23113/tungsram-93106505-t18-t25-lamp-240v-500w-gy9-5-base
  21. Hi Joggel Welcome! Try: SHIFT + pan encoder
  22. Welcome! Can you upload the DMX map to this thread so we can look for a weird implementation? Also could you export from the desk the fixture you created and upload here too, then the Zero88 folk can have a look at it for you.
  23. What is the exact model of desk you have? Frog, Fat Frog, Leap Frog, Bull Frog, Mambo Frog? It's written on the front. This is the manual for all except the Mambo Frog which has its own manual as it's a busking desk rather than a stack desk like the others. https://www.vari-lite.com/b-dam/vari-lite/discontinued-products/frog-range/english/frog-range-manual.pdf Latest software is FrogOS 10.12 and you will need these release notes for the changes since the manual only covers up to FrogOS 9.0. These Release Notes are very useful (and readable). A lot of useful features were added in the 10.x versions, so worth upgrading the console if you're behind. https://www.vari-lite.com/b-dam/vari-lite/discontinued-products/frog-range/english/frog-range-software-release-notes-10-12.pdf
  24. (I know the Showtec NET-2 is not a Zero88 device but others might be interested in using with FLX.) Edward as you said, I can reconfigure the ArtNet universe for each DMX output on the NET-2 from the FLX and I can see the change made on the FLX reflected in the menu on the NET-2. Renaming the device on the FLX didn’t change the name on the NET-2 and renaming on the NET-2 wasn’t reflected on the FLX Devices page. This is no big issue other that it would be easier to rename using the FLX keyboard rather than the clunky character selection on the NET-2.
