I can recommend doing a Zero88 training day, you get to have a play with the desk and learn the basics of using it. It's a brilliant desk, especially for what you want.

Thanks for the quick reply ziglight, I only have PhantomZerOS at home and I don't know how to press multiple buttons on that with a mouse I can try it at work on Monday on the desk, but can you tell me what pressing TIME while changing pallets actually does?
Haaaang on.... There isn't a TIME button on the FLX..... Are you winding me up?
I think it's right click

It's not a stupid question, but we shouldn't underestimate the work involved in writing the specification, developing the software and then extensively testing it on all 5 variants of the Jester range.
Yeah fair enough, it's me using Ma too much

Stupid Question,
Jon is it not possible to add a quick thing in Jester Software where pressing clear a few times (say twice) deselects everything?
I'm going to say though I haven't been near the ML for a while so I don't remember what that does (if anything) currently.
-
What do you mean by blocked?
-
Jon, I'm happy to do testing of the app, however I'm only using phantom (for reasons we've already spoken about)
-
Yeah, the ML 48 has 48 fader controlled dimmer channels and 30 intelligent fixtures controlled by the fader wheels etc. I guess if you needed more then 48 channels of dimmer control you could use both desks?

Hi There,
The Jester ML48 will give you the added functionality that you want.

Hi Jon,
I installed phantom on my PC, wine bottler *really* didn't like PhantomZerOS for some odd reason.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if it's possible to link the iOs remote and monitor to phantom ZerOS software?
Cheers,
James

Sorry, I'm seeing an issue with the DMX protocol in the control column, would someone else be able to make this fixture?
Sorry about that
James

Do you have a copy of the user manual?
-
I was worried about that
So the Jester desk runs fixtures on LTP, which means the latest command the desk is given is the one that it follows. Depending on your rig, it might be best to have all the LEDS on the same channel, if the lights are RGBD then have them on channels 21 22 23 24 and then program a submaster like they are dimmers. Of course you could change the patch of the desk massively to achieve the same effect .
If you send an email to someone at zero88 they may be able to help you better, but from reading the manual I can't see a way to change the controls to HTP
Hope that all helps,
James

Allow me to re-phrase my question.
Is this colour mixing just a test? Or is it for a show? If it's a show can you program the states into the memories or does it need to be busked? or is it just general lighting in a room?

Hi There!
The Jester ML 24 is treating your colour parameters as LTP and what you want is HTP. Can you give me some detail on what you are attempting to do with the lights and I can try to give you some guidance?

I neglected to mention it to Jon today, I'd love it but its the issue of time and use-ability.
Maybe they'll be up to releasing source code for some programs for other people to code into mac OS X?
-
I've asked this question of Jon many times. He recommends wine bottler: http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/

If you have the fixture manual we can build the file for you

Hi,
Running JesterML24 and some of the submasters I've programmed are not working at all :/
I've even tried to re-program them to no avail.
Any help ideas?
-
Jon,
Does MSC on the jester just act as like a remote trigger for the main cue stack or can it be cleverer then that?

Hi Hamish,
When I had to run a show using FXLive 2 (iPad App) I was using windows movie maker for the projection and our Jester ML 24 as the lighting controller. To do that on my own I used my keyboard sustain pedal with the jester. This means I could use my foot to operate the Jester, and two hands to do the sound and projection.
It's clunky, it's difficult... but it worked...

Hi Hamish,
If memory serves correctly from using mulitplay you can add a midi cue that fires midi notes? I have;t used it in a long time and only ever used it for video and audio...
I'd suggest just having a play and see what works

@Ganchanja do you mean the jester ML 48 or just the 48?

OHHHHHH!!!!!
I'll see myself out...
Phantom visualiser?
in Jester Range
Posted
Edward, would it be possible to add a wysiwyg or capture dedicated output? Similar to what's on grand ma? So we can putout to a visualiser but not to actual lights?
