  1. hello maybe something's wrong with your USB-stick ?? I just upgraded my Solution and all worked fine... did you try with another stick ?
  4. is it really too over-complicated that one must decide if working in "Smart-Tag Mode" or "Advanced Trackin Mode" ??? what kind of "over complication" is such a choice ?? (you prefer no choice to make it easy ? ) as I said : in Advanced Trackin mode no foreign parameters are recorded into pallets (with possibilité to add them later-on by udating, if I wish so... and in Smart-Tag mode they are included while recording (if not untagged before record) and I really believe that this behaviour is a real feature => a feature that I, personnaly, woun't miss !!! but I agree also that the best way for everybody would be to have an option (via shift-key or others) if this is possible for this desk (the Solution) - and if the developer-team would agree to add this option !
  5. I personally love the possibility and the choice to record foreign parameters into a pallet - if I want to do that ! (...or not if I woun't...) and for me this thing is definitely not a bug but a feature !! for example, recoding a position pallet (advanced tracking mode): when you first record a position pallet, no matter which other parameters are tagged, only the two position parameters PAN en TILT are recorded into the pallet and the pallet is labeled "P" for Position the exactly same thing happens with Beamshape , labeled "B" and Color "C" and effect "E"... in advanced-tracking mode, only the parameters of that particular group are recorded (nothing else) and the palette is labeled with only one single label !! (but when in Smart-Tag mode, then all tagged parameters are recorded !) now here it comes : when you edit your allready created pallet by "load and update", now when updating your pallet all tagged parameters are recorded into this pallet and new labels appear (depending of the tagged parameters so I or B or C may be added) if I don't want to add, say colour-tagging to my updating and say I am to lazy to have a look at the tagged parameters I just hit "clear" and "color" key together and all colour parameters are untagged......!! (and so not recorded into the pallet) or just use "merge" instead of "update" ! and no "foreign parameters" are recorded ! (as it seems that only "update" permits to record foreign parameters into pallets) this feature is very very powerfull and personally I love it really !! if you don't want foreign parameter record into your pallets just create a new one instead of editing an existing one !! -> or use "merge" for editing ! and if you need to edit an existing pallet (because it is used in Subs or memories) just untag the not wanted parameters (globally or individually !) before updating or use merging instead !!! it goes even further : if by accident you have recorded foreign parameters into a specific pallet, say "C" parameters into a position pallet (wich now is labeled "PC", you just have to "LOAD" this pallet hit the keys "CLEAR+COLOUR" and hit UPDATE !! correction is done and the pallet is now labeled by a single "P" =>> remember: when "SMART TAG" is enabled, than all foreign tagged parameters are recorded directly into a pallet !! so its up to you to use SMART-TAG- TRACKING or ADVANCED-TRACKING depending of what you want to do !! => pallet recording works different in either mode !! and concerning pallet-recording, personnaly I prefer to have the choice instead of not having the choice at all !!! And I would be interested to know of what other users think about this feature (or this bug... depending on their viewing-point !!) and personnaly I really woun't miss that powerfull feature !!!
  6. I understand what you want to do ; but I think there is actually no solution (on a solution desk) effect speed is NOT à fixture parameter (so no way to get it controlled separately (ex DMX-In or Submaster etc) but there is actually access by the wheel (but not globally only Submaster by submaster...) when a Submaster with a recorded FX is actif, you have to do a selection of the fixtures you want to control the FX-speed, than activate the Effect-Key... and turn the speed wheel (but I agree this is not comfort at all !!) programmer allways overwrites Subs and memories and when your hit the clear-button all come back to recorded parameters... to get it done globally, the only way I see is if Zeroo88 would add in the future à MIDI parameter to get this thing controlled via an external (or internal) MIDI controller.... or create a virtual global parameter with a dedicated global access a bit like the speed parameter for chases.... on my wish-list a global speed-control for effects would be welcome (but I thing other features are more important....)
  7. ...with pleasure.. but look at page 121 of the manual... you get : Recording a Group Naming a Group Copying a Group Deleting a Group and you can also edit a group py "merging" or by "overwriting"
  8. Hello in another topic I already mentioned that sometimes when changing the pages of Submasters on the Desk, the monitor will not follow... okey this happens just sometimes and I never could work it out what could be the reason => I can't recreate this bug! It just "happens sometimes"... but there is another strange thing in the same way for my live-work-flow I have all my pallets in quarter-size on desktop 2 on the monitor (so 25 pallets are shown for each quarter-window whith a scroll-slider on the right side ) and tabs on the monitors bottom now what happens is the following : when I hit on the desk for exemple the group-number 37; the window (on the monitor) scrolls automaticly to show the button row where is number 37 (and it works all the way up, up to 400 - the window does automatic-scrolling) but but but : this only works for the GROUP WINDOW and for no other palette window... all other windows stay on what is shown in the beginning , independent what MFG on what-ever page I hit on the desk !! (there is no "automatic-scroll") why is this ???? why does it work on the group window and not on the other windows ?? and here is an additional request : when I hit a (virtual soft-)button on my touchscreen (pallets, groups, effects, macros etc), the button gets "active" and its (background)color turns into black I would love to have the same thing when I hit the MFG button on the desk !! I mean : when I hit a pallet (or whatever) on the desk, say COLOUR number3, nothing on the monitor shows that now this "colour-palette no.3" is active ! same thing with all others like for example groups : when I choose a group on the touch-screen it gets active and I see which group is active; when I do the same thing on the desk, nothing is shown on the monitor
  9. for question 1: when patching your fixture, you than affect them to MFK buttons (just hit the button and its patched) just hit the number of buttons you wish... each button patches one more fixture for question 2 just select the fixtures you want to group together (for dimmers select is : shift+ flash-button) than hit un Group-Button (MFG) and press it for about 2 or 3 seconds... and that's it question 3 I would do this with two or more memory pages and than configure the different fade times... (and just leave fixtures and dimmers who should not change values, "untagged" on the "next memories" - after the first one) you can do it with Submasters too (for manual fading) hope that helps...
  10. this would be a good idea... what happens at the moment is this : when creating Auto-Pallets the White and/or Amber Channels are always untagged If we use RGBA ou RGBW fixtures and the W-channel is "ON" (for example on a previous personal pallet, a submaster or memory and I hit than a basic colour palette (say RED) I never get red but Red+White (the previous value of W or A) so I rectify all these basic colour-pallets (with White tagged at 0)... but when I add, say, 10 other fixtures and hit Auto-Menu again, I am back on the starting point.... (with A or W untagged on all Auto-Pallets including those which I already "fixed") so this is sometimes a bit boring !! It would be better that Auto-Menu "knows" if there are A or W channels and tag them at 0 for primary colors !!) concerning the color-picker I think this would be not easy to get "good values" because essentially depending on the real power of the White Leds (or Amber Leds) I see that for my fixtures that a pale colour needs says 40% of White on some fixtures; but this same RGBW value gives a clearly white output on another fixture where the "same pale colour" is achieved with only 5% ou 7% of white so for a RGBW or RGBA color-picker this might be very random-resulting.... (but this is just my personal opinion... nothing else...) the real thing important for me is to get the A and W channels tagged in the basic Auto-Pallets (without having to fix this all the time !)
  11. Hello I am just curious..... On the back of my Solution desk there are two tiny little pins coming out... (see the attached photo) what is this for ??
  12. personally I don't see this behaviour as un "bug" for me it's even a very good thing that I have the choice (if I really want) to record multiples parameters in a palette (regardless if its coulour, beamshape or position) I love the feature and use it for my shows !! and anyway with tagging or untagging you still have full control of what is recorded or not recorded !!!
  13. okey I understand this... and its anyway just a question to get used to it... no worry about !
  14. yessss !! SHIFT+CLEAR is a very good idea to get Clear-options... or as I sad : CLEAR+FIXTURES to clear the selection and : CLEAR once as an UNDO of the last action and CLEAR twice for clearing the programmer (for me personally the best way ... but I am not alone !!) maybe creating a special poll-thread for this with vote-options would be a good idea ?? I agree with that....
  15. thanks Jon it is the case that AZERTY support works well on Pantom-ZerOS, that makes me believe that it should be easily possible on the hardware and ZerOS too
  16. hello is there any way to know which palettes are registered in the Submasters ?? or otherwise a possibility to see the real values of parameters (dimmers etc) ?? for instance I found a way, but this is really to complicated and I wished to have a better way !!! what I do for the moment : I load the submaster into the programmer; and then record it into an empty memory-location... now I can see (in the Fixture Level window) which palettes are used in the Sub and see also all other normal values like intensity-values etc) this gives me the information I am looking for but this is not practical at all !! I tried also to have a look into the show-file (with a Hex-editor) but there is nothing usable in there.... and here is one more request : how can I see directly which parameter was tagged or which dimmer (preset fader) was used to record a Sub ?? actually when loading a Sub into the programmer nothing is shown up !! on others desks, for example, Flash-Leds of used channels get lit; tagged parameters and fixture-selection are shown (leds get lit a.s.o.) thanks for any suggestion or any help...
  17. hello the way the clear-button works is okey for some users and not okey for others and I guess it will never be satisfying for ALL users in OS 7.7 it works in one way and now in 7.8 it works in the opposite way... some love it - and others hate it.... personally I love the combination "clear+memory" and also "clear+submaster" which is very useful and which I use very often in Live-Work-flow (but don't love that much that in 7.8 now the selection is cleared first.. found it better before to clear programmer first and selection only on the second hit... but anyway its just a question to get used to it..!! and if this has been changed , that is because a majority may have claimed it, I guess !) so why not get another combination for example "clear+fixtures" to clear the fixture-selection and "clear" alone for clearing the programmer (example : one hit => UNDO for the last action et double-hit => empty the programmer.... or maybe "clear+PGM-Wind" for clearing the programmer and "clear" alone for clearing the selection anyway it would be better to get the choice what is cleared exactly actually one hit on the clear button always clears the selection and to empty the "programmer" (= second hit) the selection is also ALWAYS cleared (..and sometimes this is not what we want it to work....)
  18. I want report a little issue since I had my solution desk I found it always a bit strange that the thumb-wheel increase values when turning from right to left (counter-clock); and diminish them when turning the weel from left to right (clockwise) didn't love that behaviour but I thought there was a reason for..... and got used to it.... but today I went on the page "wheels" on my touch-screen and I was surprised to see that, when moving the wheel on screen it works normaly => increasing for clockwise and diminish for counter-clockwise (this is the opposite behavior of the real hardware thumb-wheel !!! why is this ?? and is this behaviour "normal" on all Solutions desks ??
  19. hello maybe I didn't look at the right place but it seems to me that an external keyboard ALLWAYS works in QWERTY- mode (no choice) when working on Phantom-ZerOS, my AZERTY keyboard works fine in azerty-mode would it be possible to get the choice also on the desks in one of the next Firmwares ? (this should be not really difficult to realise with Linux)
  20. hello you get the color-picker in the Solution (and ZerOS) very very useful ! (you can get primary colors, chromatic colors, but also, Lee or Rosco refs etc etc....) if you need to know yhe values : first pick up the color you want; and then go Sliders et you'll see the values (RGB, CMY and HUE !)
