Eric VDA ---------------------------------------------- FLX 1 Presentation générale FLX 2 Presentation 2 Wings Manuel & Forum FLX 3 Présentation partie 1 des attributs FLX 4 Presentation Cues Playback Part 1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, To help those who are not comfortable with English, I decided to make some videos on the FLX. Presentation of the console and gradually I will make videos to help understand the basics of this console and show the possibilities. I'm not a pro at this kind of presentation, (Too many "heeeeuuuu" and "eeeeeeeeet) but at least I'm trying to show the basics. As I go, I will go through the manipulations of the FLX, ZerOS, Syntax, the touch screen, then Capture. Hoping that it could help each other! some other video will come later. 4. Hi Emrys, FLX only has a DVI-D monitor output, not a VGA output. The D-Sub connector on the rear of the console is a D-Sub 9 connector, used for remote switches. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  5. Can you have a touch screen monitor connected via the dvi and an ordinary one via VGA at the same time to a FLX? Thanks

    Print Patch

No problems at all, Edward. I’m just updating our venue tech spec doc and fancied including the default patch as a table for convenience. Won’t take 2 shakes to type it out as we only have a small rig. Thanks as always Tom

    Print Patch

Hi Tom, Currently it still isn’t possible to export the patch. Only cue lists can be exported as a CSV file from the console. As suggested if you need to have a copy of your patch in front of you as you are addressing fixtures, you can either screen shot phantom ZerOS, or remotely connect a device to the console using the app and view the fixture schedule. If you have any questions let us know. Edward

    Print Patch

Hi Edward Just wondering if this feature is now included, and if so how do we go about exporting our patch sheet? Many thanks Tom
  9. Hello, To hold down a button in Phantom ZerOS, right click on a button in the Front Panel window. It will then remain “held”, allowing you to click another button. Make sure you then right click the button again to release it. Hope this helps, Edward
  10. Thank you so much for your quick reply (Seriously. You are lightning fast when it comes to these answers!) I have one more follow-up question regarding Phantom ZerOS: If you want to go to the cue stack window of a playback that is not the Master Playback on the Solution Console, how would you do that? On the actual console I would hold down the memories button and then tap on the Playback's Go button. In Phantom ZerOS, I can't hold down a button and press another one. Is there a shortcut for that?
  11. Hello, For our training sessions, we use a free version of Capture, that can be downloaded from our website below... http://support.zero88.com/1004254221 If you don’t have a console, you can practice with the visualisation software by linking Phantom ZerOS to Capture. For more information see below... http://support.zero88.com/988883201 Hope this helps, if you have any questions please let me know. Edward
  12. The "Let's Chat" thread in the announcement category mentions the following: What would this free visualiser option be? I would really like to do some programming but I don't have access to my console at the moment. I have also watched some of your recent training sessions on the Zero88 YouTube channel, which were really helpful and I would like to apply some of things that I've learned to my own workflow. I noticed that you were using the Capture software in your session, but as one license for that costs around 400€ and I can't afford that, I would like to know what this free option you were mentioning would look like.
  13. Hello, Great thanks for sharing the file. I will make sure this is added to the next fixture library release. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
  14. Hi Simon, Thanks for your comments. Hope you've been enjoying the streams. Yes - the streams will definitely be of use to Solution users too. We currently don't have this, but this is something we could look to create. In terms of general features, we have the comparison sheet below... https://zero88.com/control#compare Hope this helps, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  15. Hi Edward, I did what you have suggested and it works fine : Zoom's special effects are now available. I would like to share this modified file with other users; I haStairvilleBS280update.iftve added cosmetic improvements such as colors and beam fitted with real color and beam wheels. Thanks a lot, Tereva
  16. Hi, I've watched some of the training videos you're streaming and, although naturally based on the FLX board, they will be useful to us Solution users too. Most of the time it's fairly to translate to Solution but there must be some command or syntax that's less obvious or impossible. It would be helpful to have a translation grid of which FLX commands work on Solution desk ( & maybe other models) and which don't, and how to convert instructions from FLX to Solution. Cheers Simon

  19. Hello to everyone. I would like to ask who might have a used/new spare part for my Zero 88 Fat Frog console. I am searching for an affordable DMX board (double output type) to install in my fat frog console. Best regards
  20. No problem, if you have any questions let us know. Edward
  21. That's a great help and just what I was after. Thank you.
  22. Hi Shakes, How are you altering the effect speed? Are you doing this by selecting the fixtures, tapping the "Effect" tab at the top of the touchscreen, and then using the encoder wheels? If so, you will need to tap Effect until you see the effect number displayed on the encoder wheel you wish to edit. For more information on effects, see below... http://support.zero88.com/1011404471 The best way of speeding up or slowing down effects manually is to use Speed Override. Speed Override can be accessed by tapping Z/Shift, and is on the second encoder wheel. Speed Override will adjust the currently viewed playback, so choose the playback you wish to adjust by pressing and holding VIEW and tapping the playback's button, and then use the Speed Override wheel. Tapping the middle button of the Speed Override encoder will reset back to the playback speed. Speed Override can also be configured to be controlled by a fader. To do this hold SETUP and tap an empty playback's button, and choose Speed Override. Hope this helps, Edward
  23. I have two playbacks setup for any given group of fixtures, one contains movement effects and the other, effect chases (NOT playback chases made up from individual cues) If I alter the effect speed, it affects both movement and chase playback. Is it possible to alter the speed for each type individually? The aim is to have control of movement speed while also being able to adjust the chase speed to the music. I'm aware of the BPM function which controls a "playback chase" speed but has no bearing on effect speed. Is there a more efficient way of adding movement and intensity chases to a show?? Sorry if this is a basic question and thanks for any help / advice.
  24. Don't forget if you need a USB to midi link your school may have external sound cards that include USB & midi in the music room. I use an old Steinberg UR22. It's worth a look if you can borrow one for nothing. Chris
  25. Hello, Welcome to the Zero 88 Forum. For more information on MIDI Timecode on FLX consoles, see below... http://support.zero88.com/990063141 Hope this helps, Edward
  26. Hello, If you can make a lesson videos about how to make timecode lightshow with MIDI and SMPTE, And maybe Connect with Art-net to PC and connect to 3d light design programmes. It can be perfect :) The videos in Youtube is so basic. Thanks,
  27. Hi Franky, Welcome to the Zero 88 forum. I believe we have already replied to your email to support@zero88.com. If you have any questions let us know. Edward
