Creating Pallettes - with colour/gobo indicators/logos

Hi, I have selected a fixture (Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR) and looking at the colour palettes. When using Auto nothing is created. I went on to manually create colour palettes and name them but I dont get the colour indicators (colour slashes) which is what I really want. Same kind of question for getting gobo logos on the pallet buttons......??

Can anyone help please...??

There is information missing from the fixture profile. In the PC fixture profile editor: Under colour, the 'special' setting needs to be set eg 'red - positive'. The gobo images have to be uploaded to the 'detail' tab in Beamshape.

Thanks for that, I will experiment tonight. Much appreciated !!

The latest Global Fixture Library (version 33) is now on the website, and the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR is included in it...

Thanks Ed, I am assuming V33 has the more up to date fixture file for this since you point it out. I will download and update the desk now. Thanks for your help

Yip... just loaded it on the desk and thanks very much ED. To get the Gobo Logos, do I need to do that myself in the fixture editor...??

Oh Ed, have you done half a job?! ;)

Hi Uriah,

Yes unfortunately this has to be done in the PC Fixture Editor. I'm not sure if there is a better way, but it can be a bit of a drag. I usually find a PDF of the manual that contains pictures of the gobos, make a tight screen grab of each gobo image and then use these. In the Fixture Editor, you need to upload each image against the DMX range for the gobo within the "Details" tab of the Beamshape parameter that is handling the gobo channel.

I hope that is enough detail for you - sorry about my terse earlier post - I was using my phone!

Regards,

Kevin

Yep Kevin is right it does take quite a while to add in detail for every gobo,

however the fixture in the new library has all the detail included so you won't need to edit the file.

To see it's gobos, tap the button in the middle of the gobo encoder.

Hope that helps

Edward

Thanks Ed, I have downloaded the new fixture library and selected the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR. When selecting the colour palette and auto create the colour pallets are there so thanks very much. Unfortunately when selecting beam for the gobo's I hit the middle encoder for gobo and nothing there....??

Thanks for your help Kevin, much appreciated mate. Terse response did not end up on my CONCERNED radar LOL. I see you are down in Chepstow, not far from me. I may personal message you with a request if that is OK and if I can work out how to do it.

Please find attached the updated fixture file for the Chauvet Intimidator Hybrid 140SR (19 channel Mode).

attachicon.gifChauvet Intimidator Hybrid140SR.ift

When you select your "M1" fixture, there will be three 19 channel variants, you will want the last one.

Hope this helps

Edward

Hi Ed, I am trying to update PhantomOS at home but cannot seem to get the latest fixture file with colours and gobo's that are in this file. You mention selecting M1..... what does that mean please,>>>//

Hi Mac,

Make sure you have updated your PhantomZerOS Fixture Library to v33.

Then under CHAUVET -> there will be Int.Hybrid 140SR M1-> under which will be two 19-Channel modes, and the fixture I made you is one of those.

Hope that helps

Hi Mac,

I believe the Intimidator Hybrid 140SR doesn't have an Orange slot in its colour wheel, therefore the desk can't apply a palette to it.

However to add colour wheel slots to Auto Palettes you can simply manually change the colour wheel with the encoders, press UPDATE, and tap an Auto Palette.

Thanks Ed, on changing the colour wheel I only get the colours already on the palette. I am assuming you mean there is some where to get into the RGB levels and set something suitable but I am stuffed to be able to find it mate...??

The way that the console knows how to apply colour wheels to the auto-palettes is within the "Details" tab when creating the fixture, where you can set RGB values for each slot of the colour wheel. If you download the Fixture Editor software from the website you will be able to load the fixture in and see the RGB values applied for each colour slot in the Colour Wheel Details.

Hope that helps
