Elara programming help required please.

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have recently bought an ex-hire Elara 48 channel desk that has required some TLC to get it going again. Having replaced 9 scratchy faders the desk is running fine in A and B preset mode and also in wide mode. The problem I have is that it's not responding to any attempts to program a sequence into it (I have the Mk 2 that does not have the Memory type - sequence/scene function). When I try to start programming a sequence (by incrementing the scene number by using channel button 1), the 00 indication flashes 0 twice and then returns to 00. I've tried the process a number of times now, and keep on getting the same result. The channel flash button leds aren't lit during any part of the process either. Any assistance would be readily accepted!

Many thanks,

Andy.

Hi Andy,

Been a while since i use on of these but if i am correct the sequence is made up of the per-programmed scenes.

If you have nothing programmed, which it sounds like you have not as there are no LED in the channels flash buttons, then it will have no data to create the steps of the chase.

try programming the scenes the using these to program the steps if the chase.

Hi Keith,

Many thanks for the response. I've some good news.............. I've managed to program individual scenes into submasters - seeming effortlessly, so I don't know what I was doing wrong before as I couldn't program anything at all into it memory/sequence or anything. Following on from your suggestion I'll see if I can 'import' the scenes into a sequence.

Thanks again,

Andy
