  1. Hi Janders,

From the Zero 88 product range, there are 2 consoles that would suite your requirements, depending on budget.

The TL Xtra is the easiest of the boards. It can do 200 dimmer channels and 30 fixtures (moving lights). It has 10 physically submasters which are pageable.

You're then looking at the ORB Series which comes in two models - the ORB and the ORB XF. This gives you a console with massively more possibilities, but with that comes another level both in price and complexities. That said, there are a lot of schools who have these consoles in their venues, and after a training session their students get on with them really well.

  2. I would suggest saving the show with a different file name so you have a backup - just in case it doesn't like being imported and then exported again. It should be fine, as your original showfile is on the 'smaller' of the two consoles (if you had made your show on the ORB, you might have lost some data when loading the showfile onto a Leap Frog).

  3. And after a few extra cues I run into the problem that im already at x.99

You've used up all 99 point cues?! That's quite impressive going for 'a few extra cues'.

If you are already at this point, the only way you could do this natively is to copy a cue, and then delete the original, to make space for a new cue. So if you are at Q2.99 but need another Cue before Q3, move Q3 to Q3.99 (Q3.5 would be better, if 50 extra cues is enough!)

However, if you download Phantom ZerOS from our website, you could load up the ORB emulator, open your Leap Frog file, click Stack Setup > Renumber > OK, save the show and then load it back onto your Leap Frog console.

Let me know if this solves your problem.

  4. Hi,

Sorry that we didn't reply to this last year.

The good news is that several of your requests have already been fixed, and will be available in the next software update.

We don't have a release date for this update yet, but we'll keep you updated through the forum and email if you are on our mailing list.

    Best Regards,

  5. Are you wanting to use the strobe settings?

Because they have put the dimmer and strobe together, it's not easy to make an 'ideal' fixture personality for you.

If you don't need to use the strobe setting, I suggest you patch this as a 'RGB+D' fixture (available within 'Standard Fixtures' when you patch your fixture). Then go into SETUP > PATCH > EDIT FIXTURE > TOPSET, select the fixture (press it on the Multi Function Keys) and change it's topset to 74 (the percentage equivalent of 190, which is where the dimmer is at full).

If you do want to use the strobe, the best suggestion I can offer is to do the same as above, but instead of changing the topset to 74, change the 'default' and 'home' settings to 74.

Sorry I can't help much more than that, but the way the light has been manufactured means it's very limiting (it wouldn't have cost them any more to make it 5 channels, and separated out Dimmer and Strobe!).

  6. somehow when I assigned the dmx address for the lights, something got messed up which has caused some of the lights not to move, whilst others sit there and behave odd. Because the lights are up some 6.0 meters I now have to get a tower to double check everything is as it should be, e.g. dmx address are set right, along with other settings on the heads are ok.

As you've got your fixtures already, this is probably too late - but for your interest have a look at RDM... it would have solved this problem for you, and it's built into the Jester ML Series!

are there any examples of pre-program templates that I can upload to the desk that have been programed using the fixtures that I have, or is it just the case of learning how to do this.

Unless another user here just happens to have the same fixtures and is willing to give you their show file, we don't have anything like this. Everything varies so much dependant on your rig, this may not be fully useful to you anyway.

Your best option, as you suggested, is to come on one of our free Training courses, which will give you all the information you need.

    Cheers,

  7. Hi Tim,

You are currently running old software on your console (latest is ZerOS 7.3) and old ZerOS Remote App software (latest is 1.4.11).

Both of these are free updates.

It appears that HTC hasn't blocked the protocol on your phone, as you can see the desk appear. This means you should just tap on the desk, and not press the 'Connect' button.

Please let me know if this works,

  8. Hi Will,

There is a bug in the current software which can show up the behaviour you describe. The good news is we have fixed it, and it's currently being tested.

We are hoping to release the software after Prolight and Sound in Frankfurt, Germany.

Until then, using the syntax CUE x TIME y/z ENTER works if you find a cue refuses to hold it's timings.

  9. Hi Tim,

Please could you email me the following:

    - Version of software on the desk (SETUP > Files > Desk Information)

    - Version of Android on your phone

    - Version of the ZerOS Remote App on your phone

    - IP address of the desk

    - IP address of the router

    - IP address of the phone

Sorry, we wouldn't normally need all this information, but because HTC have decided to block the Port Scanning Protocols it makes our life a little bit harder!

  10. I've added this as an issue to look into, with Issue ID ZOS-4410.

For now, go into the previous cue, change 'size' to 0 and ensure it's tagged, and then update the cue (this will work so long as you are in Tracking Mode and don't have Smart Tag on).
