  1. Thanks for the tip. I will try that. I know have a different problem. I have tried to make up a floppy disk of the two LED pars that can be inserted on another Frog. However what ever I do I get "no fixtures on disk", even though the formatting was carried out on the desk, and I can see the fixtures on the floppy on my PC. Any ideas?
  2. Thanks for that reply. I have got the Par up and running . However I have revisited my older Showtec Pars and they have a Macro channel, 4 which acts like a scroller control. Actually I just reinstalled them on my Frog and cant remember where the Macro actually appears as a wheel. Any ideas to both questions?
  3. Not one answer since last March. Okay I had a look at the fixture listed. It seems to start with channel one as Brightness. As I previously posted mine start with colours and make 4 the brightness. Has anyone actually tweeked the fixture gile? I cant seem to use the editor right Thanks Nick
  4. I have a couple of these to try out. A lot more light than the original LED pars. I have had a surf but cant find a fixture available. I will download the up to date fixture list as well DMX protocol Ch 1 Red Ch 2 Green Ch3 Blue Ch 4 Dimmer Ch 5 Flash Many thanks Nick
  5. Okay I have searched the forum and this was one area these had been discussed in. I have just bought four 218s, and have got one in my store to get running with my leapfrog. They are Mk 1's so I assume i install the fixture with no additional number etc? I also have the Martin box to convert from DMX to Martin protocol. I think I am right in needing to use a DMX polarity changer as well? Now as far as I can see I am doing everything right. The seller gave me both the handbooks! as well so no downloading needed. I have no control whatsoever. I even put the unit to dmx start address one to see if the faders would control and no luck. Obviously I will carry on playing, but any help will be greatfully received!
  6. Peter from Zero 88 made up a fixture file for the LED Pars which had on the second colour page colour mag. This is like having a scroller. I did not use it in this way for the first show, but I wonder if that would help you. There would be one parameter to set rather than three!
  7. Okay , having successfully used the itf that Peter posted, and very pleased at the effect. I am not sure where I am going wrong programming. I have a suspicion it is to do with partial programming or something like that. The desk and kit not in front of me otherwise i would play some more. I can control the level of a colour or a combination, but if I copy to a memory master it becomes a switch, IE the colour is being copied, but not the level. Does that makes sense? If the LED is programmed in and you go next , it changes to the next colour or whatever as a crossfade, but if you use the master to fade to black they stay on. As I said I think this is something to do with partial! My young opo wizz kid is at university up north so I cant get him to help As I say with the gear in front of me I could play, but I am getting close to programming up the show so want to know i am doing it right before I start! Cheers Nick
  8. It turns out it was the old formatting problem. Once I formatted the disk on the desk, then copied Peters file. it worked. The desk really couldn't find the file! All singing now! Cheers Peter Nick
  9. I thought I had installed the up to date OS on the Leapfrog. Better check I guess. Basically it is not finding any fixture on the floppy disk.
  10. Thanks for that Peter, I saved the file to a floppy then tried to load onto the desk. The desk says it cannot find a fixture. I have not had problems loading fixtures before. Any ideas anybody? Cheers Nick
  11. Derrick. If you are like me you tried this setting and it did not work? This is caused by older Martin kit having the DMX signal the other way around. This tends to mean that it kind of works but the parameters are all over the place. If you have been using a Martin controller up to now, then the problem will not have risen! When I got my four Robocolors the seller produced the polarity change leads! Hope this helps Nick
  12. I have had a look at the fixture tool and not having used it before am uncertain if I am approaching things correctly. The unit has four control channels 1. Red 0-100% 2. Green 0-100% 3. Blue 0-100% 4. Colour Macro, whatever that is! Does anyone know the best way to control these units. My main problem is setting a fixture so that I can use wheel controls, rather than fader channels
