  1. Hi, Yes, this function is called palettes. You can have colour, beamshape and position palettes and basically, once setup, you select some fixtures, hold the colour/beamshape/position button and hit a channel flash button. Easy, exactly what you describe See section 7-6 of the Frog manual for details. Latest manual downloads available here. Hope this helps, sp
  2. I've seen it a few times that the Square Dimmer Law is "for use with video cameras." What exactly is meant by this? Also, for usual theatre generics, is it best to use the S or Linear Law? Looking at the curves in the Demux 48 manual, it would seem that linear is best? I can't see it in the manual - is it possible to set a dimmer law for all channels simultanously on a demux 48? Thanks, sp
  3. On the Frog the only precise way I can think of is what yourself, and Sam, have suggested with the memory stack. If the machine didn't mind just being sent a constant 10v signal when you were experimenting, could you not just try a very fast chase? As you say it wouldn't be very precise, but perhaps close enough? If this precise rate is critical for the machine to work properly, the only thing I can think of is to use the current remote you have. I don't know this remote, but if it is just an on/off switch, would some kind of arrangement with a DMX relay to close the remote's switch work? Obviously this would involve fiddling with the original remote you have, and maybe a little bit of cost, but it may work. A post on the Blue Room explaining your situation may be worthwhile, I did find a very similar topic when searching, but those who posted then seemed unaware that it is not just a 10v feed required. Edit: Just noticed a Jem DMX interface on usedlighting.co.uk for £50... Regards, sp
  4. was meant in a nice way sp
  5. Is it true that the support forums are going to be combined into one big forum, to support all Zero88 products? I wondered if this was happening very soon as I was unable to access this forum yesterday. sp
  6. as I've just posted on another topic on your mojos , I think the issue is you can't seperate the gobo and shutter control of your fixtures, as they are both on one DMX channel. As suggested by others, your best bet is to keep this channel on the gobo wheel (LTP), and just have another submaster or beamshape palette to close the shutter. Then you can just hit this to close the shutter when you need to. Regards, sp
  7. I think Haytech is saying it doesn't have a shutter channel. A single channel of the mojos controls both the gobo and 'shutter' - it is not possible to put just the gobo section on the fixture's beamshape, and the 'shutter' section on the dimmer wheel - as far as I know sp
  8. I've tried the link here again, and asked someone else to check, and we can still get to the webpage. Does it matter now? I thought Haytech had sorted the fixture file for you here? Well if you still want the DMX channel data for the mojo 1, it is like this: The site doesn't seem to have the DMX channel data for the mojo 2, but this will probably be in the manual. sp
  9. Desk Light Frog, Fat Frog, Leap Frog - Single 3 pin XLR socket, 12V, maximum 5W. Bull Frog - Two separate 3 pin XLR sockets, 12V, maximum 5W. Connections: Pin 1 Not Connected Pin 2 0V Pin 3 +12V Hope this helps sp
  10. A search around www.geni.com.tw has revealed the following: Click. On the right-hand side is a JPG file with the DMX channel data. This is for the mojo 1x, not sure which exact model you are referring to but the others are on the site also. Hope this helps sp
  11. just a thought, would this not cause problems if a chase were on another submaster, with its LTP trigger set to 0? sp
  12. Edited: That is one of the most bewildering posts I have ever read 8O sp

    Header memories

I like this idea (and perhaps add it to the submasters as well?) - I don't see why they couldn't be selected by scrolling though? sp
  14. Now I've had a trawl around old topics to see if this is mentioned - I can't find it but I'd be surprised if it hasn't been previously. Could an update allow for certain HTP scenes to be recorded as some kind of pallette. These could then be used in the memory stack. I've seen this in a recent Blueroom topic, and have been in the same situation myself, where a single lantern is added to the rig, which needs to be put into many many cues. If one pallete-type scene could be changed, thus updating the cue stack, this would save lots of time. As the number of pallettes is to be increased, could a simple brightness pallette option not be added also? Personally I can't think of any disadvantage to this, aside from the software development that would be required. If not, then does anyone have any suggestion as to how a change is made to many cues quickly, aside from fast fingers ? sp
  15. Yes you can put the fixture brightness onto the submasters. If you lower all other channels and just raise the relevent fixture brightnesses with the wheel, when you program the submaster, it will be recorded. Note that fixture brightness levels are always recorded in submasters and memories. If you are in full mode all other fixture information will be recorded onto the subs as well, so you may well be better putting the desk in partial mode so only the brightness parameter is recorded. sp
  16. He does That score was my third attempt, I don't know what happened but sometimes my frog went lazy and wouldn't jump at all? :? sp
  17. That could be your new use for the F4 button, Fatfrog users will just have to do without the Park function sp
  18. A submaster can only have one fade up and fade down time, and one LTP time. You could put the subs next to each other. sp
  19. I don't mind particularly, it's just that if you have locked a screen to the monitor, that is obviously what you want to look at. It just confused me that I thought I was looking at the actual outputs, and found that certain values being output weren't showing . Then I read the title at the top of the screen, and all becomes clear... Yes more of an observation really, but if others also feel it should be changed then I think it should be. As I say, you've locked the screen for a reason. sp
  20. If I've locked the Outputs screen to the monitor display, when I preview a submaster, why does that appear on the monitor, even though Outputs is locked to it? Is that correct, or a bug? sp
  21. Well as long as you're doing the obvious (going Save Show in Super User on the Phantom, then Load Show on the desk etc.) then I guess it could be the floppy disk - I've had that previously. sp
  22. I guess you mean a strip you lay above the function keys - that would be ok. But a simple strip of card with a few words scribbled on it would suffice I'm sure, bit of white PVC etc. If Zero88 didn't want to make one, you could, and put it on here for everyone! sp
  23. I'm sure I've seen it on here somewhere that Frog Run scores are kept in a showfile... Edit: Knew I'd seen it mentioned somewhere sp
