  1. Editing chases on 7.9.2+

Hi Tom, Glad that SHIFT + GO gave you the result you wanted. Playback buttons can have 2 functions, a second when pressed with Shift held. The default shifted function is Go (Snap), which means you can manually snap into a cue in a chase, without it running. You can however configured this shifted function, by holding SETUP and tapping the Playbacks button. The bottom line of options is the button function. If a Playback is a chase, the Go Fade option, is a little bit like a chase resume. This is because chases don’t use cue fade times, as the cross fade between cues in a chase are configured in the chase options of the playback settings. The Load function is used to “load” any cue into the programmer. This is therefore like playing back your cue, but rather than coming from a programmed value, the values are brought into the programmer (indicated by red values in the Output Window). This is useful to add additional values to record/ update the cue, or as a good way of recording a new cue, made from the basis of another. Regarding colours in the Output Window, this guide should help you if you’re a little confused... http://support.zero88.com/1011707591 Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  2. FLX S24 - SHOWTEC LED Imagespot 75W

Hi AndyMac, If you email FixtureSupport@Zero88.com with a link to those fixture’s manuals, one of the team will be able to make the files for you next week. Edward
  3. Midi timecode questions

Hi Dan, MIDI Timecode from your description will be your best option, as any cue on any Playback can be triggered by MIDI Timecode. MIDI Show Control (MSC) only triggers cues on the Master Playback. For demos, we use the MOTU Fastlane USB MIDI interface... http://motu.com/products/midi/fastlane_usb We use this with QLab for Mac. I haven't used any Windows based software to send MIDI triggers, but I believe software such as Multiplay has this functionality. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  4. ZerOS 7.9.4 Released

Hi Mac, The link below contains the ZerOS 7.9.4 software file, Phantom ZerOS, and the release notes. http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ Therefore after downloading this you should find Phantom ZerOS, that you’ll be able to extract and run on your PC, will update Phantom from 7.9.2, and you’ll be able to extract the software file to the root of a USB stick, for you to load into your FLX and run the update to ZerOS 7.9.4. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  5. Support Lumenradio CRMX Nova TX USB

Hi Eric, This device is currently supported by our other ZerOS consoles, but not FLX S. We may look in to implementing this in the future. Edward

  7. Flx s48 not working

Hi Peter, We found a couple of issues with patching that in some circumstances cause the console to crash. These issues were fixed early on, and the latest software for FLX S is ZerOS 7.9.4, available to download from our website here... http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ If you install that, you should find this solves the issue, along with bringing new features and enhancements to the FLX S. Any queries let me know. Edward
  8. Touch screen monitor

Hi Jim, Great, glad that’s solved your issue. Any queries let me know. Edward
  9. Pixel beam 160 rgbw stairville

Hi Peter, That software is used to make fixture files for all Zero88 consoles, so it was a useful post! Ben, I will look into making your fixture file on Monday. Edward
  10. Flx s48 not working

Hi Peter, Can you confirm that’s crashing on ZerOS 7.9.4? Is it always crashing when trying to patch? Is it the same thing you’re doing at the point of crashing, if so could you give instructions on how to recreate? Hope to get you back up and running as soon as possible. Edward
  11. Remote APPS

Hi Steve, Great glad to hear it, no worries at all. Edward
  12. Remote APPS

Hi Steve, That's correct, if you save your show that will store all information about the desk, including Network settings, Fixtures Patched, and of course cues, Playbacks and Palettes. Therefore save your show and update the software to ZerOS 7.9.4 by loading the upgrade file into the console like you would a show file. After turning the console off and on to complete the software upgrade, you can then load your show file back in. This should fix the app issues you were experiencing. Any queries let me know. Edward
  13. Editing chases on 7.9.2+

Hi Tom, Thierry's comment will work on ZerOS 7.9.2. The latest version of software is ZerOS 7.9.4. You should find you can also use the Load method. With your chase released (fader at 0% so it isn't running), tap LOAD type the cue number followed by the Chase's button, and the cue of the chase will be brought in to the programmer. You can then make your changes, and tap UPDATE ENTER, to update the cue of the chase. Hope that helps, Edward
  14. Problem saving cue with effects

Hi, No worries. There doesn't seem anything obvious from your description, so let me know how you get on after updating. Edward
  15. Problem saving cue with effects

Hello, The instructions you've listed should give the effect you're after. Feel free to attach or send me your show file, and I'll take a look to see what the issue is. As a separate note, ZerOS 7.9.3 has now been superseded by ZerOS 7.9.4 available to download here... http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ Edward

Hi Mostyn, What colour is your Elara? If it is Grey, then its a Mk1 version, made from 1998 to 2003. 17. Patch DMX blind on Jester 24/48?

Hi Lentille, When in <DMX Patch> on a Jester, the channel faders do Output Live. So if you set a DMX address, and apply a channel fader to that address, raising that channel fader will bring that DMX channel on. Hope that helps Edward
  18. No output from cues!

Hi Jimbo, Ok thanks for letting me know, will take a look at your email. Edward
  19. Flx s48 not working

Hi Peter, Great, glad to hear it. Any queries let me know. Edward
  20. No output from cues!

Hi Jim, It sounds like there is a patching issue if the Channel faders controlling the dimmers are affecting the movers, so check the DMX addresses. Feel free to email me your show file with the list of problems you are experiencing, and I’ll take a look to find the cause of the issues. Edward
  21. Flx s48 not working

Hi Peter, It sounds like your FLX S48 is running an early software version. You can check the software version by tapping Z / Shift, and then System Information. It sounds like it’s running software ZerOS 7.9.2.60. The latest software is ZerOS 7.9.4, available to download from our website here... http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ In ZerOS 7.9.2.60, the External Monitor is Enabled by default, meaning the Outputs, Cues and Faders windows are displayed on the External monitor rather than the internal touchscreen. Therefore I would recommend installing the new software, that changes this, along with bringing new features and many enhancements. However you can manually access these windows in the internal touchscreen, by tapping SETUP -> System Settings -> External Monitor -> Disabled. By default FLX S consoles will not be patched, unless your dimmer has something called RDM, such as our Betapack 3 or Chilli dimmers. Therefore you’ll need to patch your dimmers into the console, to assign each dimmer channel to a fader. Do this by tapping SETUP -> Add Fixture’s -> Next -> Tap Channel buttons 1 onwards for each dimmer channel, and tap Finish. You can then tap SETUP, and use the channel faders to control your dimmer. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  22. gft33

Hi Piero, Glad that worked for you. If you need fixtures adding to your FROG2 that aren't in Fixture Library 33, you can use our Fixture Editor software to Import them from the latest Global Fixture Library from the website (currently version 35), and then load them into FROG2 manually. http://zero88.com/forum/files/file/10-fixture-tools/ Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  23. Edit CUE's on the FLX S48

Hi Lex, When it comes to editing Playbacks/Cues, you first need to Playback/ Go into your cue you wish to edit, so that it is live on stage. Now using the channel faders, and fixture controls make edits to the lighting state. To lower channel levels, you'll need to level match the channel fader to the intensity level the fixture is at from the cue. The value will change from the cue colour to red in the output window, and you'll then have control of the fixture on the channel fader. When you're happy tap UPDATE, and tap the Flashing Playback button that your cue is coming from. To remove fixtures from a Playback, again Playback your cue, and ensure that the intensity of fixtures you wish to remove is in the programmer. Programmer values are indicated by a red percentage value under the fixture channel number. When only fixtures you want to remove are in the programmer, press and hold UPDATE, and choose "Remove" from the Update Options pop-up, so that it has a Red Stripe next to it. If the SmartTag option also has a Red Stripe next to it, tap this so it goes blue. Then tap the flashing Playback button that your cue is coming from, and these tagged fixtures will be removed. As you stated, editing cues on any of the MFFs or on the Master Playback will behave in exactly the same way. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  24. Solution - Solution XL VS FLX - FLX S 48

Hi Eric, If you are receiving that message that means you are running the ZerOS 7.9.4 OS USB Creator software. This software is used to format and create a bootable USB stick, which was the old way to perform software updates. For Phantom ZerOS, you’ll need the dedicated Phantom ZerOS 7.9.4 software also available from the download here... zero88.com/forum/files/file/17-zeros-794/ This software allows you to choose which ZerOS console to emulate. Hope that helps, any queries let me know. Edward
  25. Spiider Flower Effekte Speichern

Hi Marco, Glad that you found the cause of the problem. SmartTag will ignore parameters if the fixture’s intensity is 0%, which is why you can also get around SmartTag nudging the Fixture up to 1% intensity. If you ever need more support with your FLX S just let us know. Our Europe Sales Manager Franck is German, and would be happy to help you out in German. Edward
