Good evening Mac, If your intensity playbacks are sending your fixture’s attributes to defaults, this suggests the fixture’s defaults have been included in the cue. It is probably easiest to remake your intensity playbacks and overwrite them. First, make sure you double tap CLEAR. Then, select your fixtures, and tap @@. You definitely don’t want to press HOME - this will tag everything. Once the fixtures are on, tap RECORD, and best practice would be to ensure SmartTag is disabled in the Record Options. Then tap your playback’s button to store it. Double tap CLEAR, and then give your playback a try. Hope this helps.

Hi Lewis, What version of ZerOS software are you running on your Orb console? To confirm the current software version running on your console, please click the “Other Windows” button, found top left of the Output Window. From the drop-down choose System Info. In the window that opens will be a line of text displaying the “Software Version”. The ZerOS Remote and ZerOS Monitor apps require the console to be running ZerOS 7.9.4 software or later. Hi @Zulu @kgallen is correct - Spice dimmers do not have RDM functionality. I would therefore recommend ensuring RigSync is disabled on your console, prior to connecting DMX.

If you raise playback faders, you can simply tap RECORD, and then tap the button below the playback you wish to store your scene onto. You can then lower your playback faders, and recall your scene using the playback you just recorded onto. As @kgallen mentioned, you will need to ensure SmartTag is enabled in the Record Options to capture other playbacks into cues, however SmartTag should be on by default.

Hi @DALX In the Fixture Schedule, tap on the fixture in the "Change All Fixtures / Modes" column. The current mode will then be highlighted. Click Cancel to close. Hope this helps.

Hi @discover Firstly, apologies if I have misunderstood your query. Would you like to operate your show, by mixing different combinations of cues together on the fly? If so, each of your cues will need to be programmed onto separate playback faders. In your example above, you would therefore end up with 9 playbacks - one for each cue. You could then raise the combination of playback faders you need to create your scene. If you wanted to, you could then record the combination of playbacks into a cue on the master playback. Apologies if you've already tried this - have you tried a different USB-A to USB-B cable?

I'm not really sure what to suggest - there aren't any touchscreen compatibility issues affecting FLX between ZerOS 7.11 - 7.13. Could it be as simple as an intermittent USB cable connecting the touchscreen? When the touchscreen stops responding, is this always after having used the touchscreen with another device for example, or does it "randomly" stop responding? Has it worked at all with ZerOS 7.13?

Hi @dramatechws Sounds like settings have been changed in your show file. By default, raising a playback will change the recorded fixtures to the recorded colour, as expected. As @kgallen mentions, there could be various factors contributing to this behaviour, so a show file would be helpful. Based on your description, the most likely candidate could be that "Release On Lower" has been disabled for the playbacks. This means the playbacks never release after having been used for the first time, meaning it is impossible to "re-trigger" them, because they've already been triggered.

With the external touchscreen connected, please go to the calibration screen. Then tap the first point. If there's no response, tap the UPDATE key, wait 3 seconds, and then try again. If there's still no response, please could you remind me of your touchscreen model?

Hi Alex, No - this is a FLX S48 hardware-specific issue. If you go to Z -> System Information-> System Info, can you see the touchscreen listed as a USB device at the bottom?

Hi Dave, Brilliant - pleased to hear it. It is possible to configure playback buttons, so that they solo when pressed, rather than flash. This means you don't have to hold the Z/SHIFT key to access solo. To set a playback's button to solo, hold SETUP and tap the playback button you wish to configure. Then from the Button Function options at the bottom, choose Solo. Hope this helps,

Hi @Petera We are aware of a compatibility issue in ZerOS 7.13 software, that can prevent certain models of external touchscreens from calibrating on FLX S48 consoles. It sounds like your touchscreen is one of the affected models. This compatibility issue will be solved in ZerOS 7.14 software once released. If you would like to try an early-access beta version that includes a fix for this issue, please let me know. This compatibility issue is not present in ZerOS 7.11 software. Therefore, if you would like to roll back your console's software, please let me know, and I can share installation instructions. Please note that there is no guarantee show files saved in ZerOS 7.13 can be imported into ZerOS 7.11 software correctly. Sorry to hear the rear USB port on your console doesn't seem to be working. Do you have a low power USB LED desk light you can try connecting to the rear USB port?

I've removed the bracketed text completely from the "Intensity Wheel" section, because the example which then follows is more helpful. I think I disagree - when you say "@ - 50 ENTER", you are saying "take these lights to 50% of their current level".

When you adjust an "Absolute" encoder, the parameter of all the selected fixtures snaps to the level of the first fixture. The encoder then dials all parameter levels up/down together @ the same value. "Relative" encoder control means if you spin an encoder 50 values clockwise, you are "adding" 50 values to whatever the parameters are currently doing, keeping the different parameters "relative" to one another.

The Intensity Wheel and Scaling Syntax do not work in the same way. The intensity wheel adjusts values relative to one another. Scaling syntax scales. For example: Set fixture 1 to 100%, and fixture 2 to 50%. Dial the intensity encoder down to 50%. Fixture 1 is @ 50%, and fixture 2 is @ 0%. The intensity wheel has taken the value of the fixtures down by the same amount. Set fixture 1 to 100%, and fixture 2 to 50%. @ - 50 ENTER. Fixture 1 is @ 50%, and fixture 2 is @ 25%. The syntax has taken the intensities down 50%.
