  1. A possible way to do this would be to have a "Focus Mode" and a "Playback Mode". For Focus Mode, I think you need a menu that gives the option for either the Next/Previous Screen as pictured above, a Groups Screen, or a Keypad for basic Syntax. The Next/Previous screen could use the Digital Crown to scroll through the currently selected fixture, removing the need for Next/Previous soft buttons, these could then be replaced with +10% and -10%, showing the intensity in between them. Every time you advance to the next fixture, the next fixture would automatically come on at the previously selected intensity, and then Rem Dim can be used to kill the previous fixture's intensity if necessary. Groups mode could then have the screen divided up into 4 soft buttons of groups, which can be paged by the digital crown. These can then be pressed, and then the Previous/Next screen can appear, but this time controlling the groups instead. Lastly for keypad mode, this could be a simplified keypad to fit on the screen, and so "Full", "Except" and potentially "Thru" are removed, leaving just intensity control. For Playback Mode I think only having control of the currently selected Cue Stack on the console would be best. The screen could be simple, just saying the Active Cue at the top half, and the bottom half saying the next cue. Tapping the "Next Cue" half of the watch could then be used as a Go button, and tapping the "Current Cue" could Pause. The digital crown could then be used to increment what the next Cue will be.   2. I believe in chase settings (SETUP + MFF Number the chase is programmed on) once you've set the BPM you can then press a soft button that says "Double Speed". I may be wrong though. For the random strobing, with all the "segment" fixtures selected, select the "Chase" effect palette, and then holding the SHIFT button, use the encoder wheel for "Offset" and keep spinning it until you are happy the strobing is random.   7. Hello The ZerOS wing has 24 faders and is paged independently to the main console. Therefore to obtain 1-48 across all faders the wing would have to be on page 1, with the console on page 2. For 49-96 the wing would be on page 3, with the main console on page 4 and so on. This means you can't use one set of page up/down buttons to control all fader pages. Edward

  9. Hi Peter, ZerOS is only really designed for one set of RGB colour mixing per fixture. This means that for each RGB fixture you have, you need to patch under Generic Fixtures, an RGB LED unit if as in this case you want to have colour mixing/ palettes available to you. Therefore in your case if you have a fixture with 8 different sections requiring RGB control, you'll need to patch a separate RGB fixture for each, so in your case 8 RGB units patched one after the other to give you the full control. You can then create a group of all of these "sub-fixtures" selected to give you the ability to just have one Control for RGB for the whole fixture. Hope that makes sense. Edward
  10. Hello, The latest software version is 7.9.2 so it's recommended you upgrade to that, and I think you must be currently running 7.8.2.39? First thing to do on your computer is plug in the USB stick, and in My Computer find the USB stick, and ensure there's nothing on it. Then right click, and click "Quick Format". Leave all the default settings and run that. The drive is now ready for putting the ZerOS installer on it. To do that download the version 7.9.2 from the website, and extract the files once complete. Then run the ZerOS 7.9.2 application. This will ask what drive you what the installer on, so select your freshly formatted USB stick. Once this installer has finished, unplug the USB stick and plug into the USB port nearest to the network port. Now boot the ORBXF with the USB connected, and the option to Install 7.9.2 will appear. Click this, and it will install. When it says it's complete, power off the console, unplug the USB stick, and next time you boot the ORBXF it will be in the latest version.   11. Hi Peter, Yes in the profile editor I believe under the "special" tab, you need to give it a colour mixing setting, such as "Red Positive", so the console knows to apply colour mixing/palettes to the fixture. Edward
  12. Hello, The Jester doesn't have any wings to expand it. Paging preset faders isn't an option to ensure the console is as simple to use as possible, you then know in preset mode you will only have control of 1-12, or 1-24 channels. What you could do is patch generic dimmer fixtures to any spare fixture positions you may have on the ML (maximum of 30 fixtures). Edward
  13. The view key will toggle between your list of Playbacks/ MFF data and your currently selected playback cue list (to change this hold VIEW + MFF flash you want to view). Edward
  14. I don't quite know what you mean. To patch it, ensure the fixture is in 54 channel mode with your desired start address. Then on the Solution, select "Generic RGB 3 Channel Fixture" as we discussed, Select the start address you chose for the fixture, and on the next patch page add the quantity which in this case will be 18. These will then automatically be assigned to each RGB LED of the fixture as will be assigned one after the other. On the console you can then pick a blank MFK fixture page and put them all there. You can then repeat this for your further 3 fixtures. It would then be worth making 4 quick Groups per batten, each containing all 18 of their respective fixture, so you could then easily use the fixtures as one block colour if you needed to. Edward
  15. So yes you would need to patch 72 fixtures. What console are you using? On a Solution/ Leapfrog series console I would put each bank of 18 fixtures on a separate page of fixture positions on the MFKs, resulting in each Stairville fixture with its own dedicated page. Its just a different way of thinking, you either have lots of individual fixtures you can quickly call up with the command line for example, or you have few fixtures, however each containing 18 "pages" of colour attributes. The added benefit of having each LED as its own fixture is that if you did want the whole fixture all the same colour, you select them all and apply your colour, whereas if it was the individual fixture with RGB for each LED, you'd have to manually step through and apply your colour to each LED.   16. Having a look at the manual of the Stairville ShowBar Tri the most effective way to use this fixture in 54 channel mode is to imagine each of the 18 LEDS is an individual fixture. Therefore you will need to patch 18 of the Generic RGB fixtures I mentioned in the previous post, per Stairville ShowBar Tri. The file for the Varytec fixture is attached to the previous post. Edward
  17. Hi Leighton, What sort of control do you want to get from the ShowBar Tri? Because this fixture has the ability to be put in 54 channel mode for RGB control of each LED. If you just want RGB control of the whole unit, put it into 3 channel RGB mode, and you can patch it as a generic RGB fixture. To do this on a ZerOS console go into Patch Wizard, and the first option in the list is "Generic Fixtures". Next select LED Unit. You can scroll through the "Generic" combinations of standard LED fixtures. Simply select RGB 3 channel, patch it, and you can now use the encoder wheels, and also colour picker etc. If you do however want the fixture in 54 channel mode for full pixel control, let me know.   18. Hello, Give this a try... CAMEO PAR 64 LED CAN.ift This fixture type is with the LED PAR in 9 channel Mode, giving you the maximum number of options the fixture can offer. To add this to the console, save to a memory stick and plug it in to one of the Solution's USB ports, go into SETUP -> LOAD FILE -> LOAD UFT. Then select the file, and hit enter. Edward
  19. Hello FROG2 is not included in the current Beta releases of ZerOS, however wil be up to speed with the other consoles before the end of the year. Public beta 7.9.1.6 is a glimpse of what it will look like, it will behave much more like FLX. Edward
  20. Hi Peter, On Betapack 3s there's a menu option for top set. Is there a possibility this option for channel 6 has been accidentally set to 0? If so there would be no output from that channel. To access that mode, from memory you just keeping clicking menu until the LED on the display indicates you are in top set mode. You can then with the arrows select the channel, hit enter, and then set its values. If this isn't the issue, have you tried bringing the channel up manually using the pack itself? Edward
  21. Hi Ollie, A recent software update now allows the colour picker to use white too to create better pastille colours. Amber is currently not included in this. I wonder whether the Source Four LED Lustr allows for RGBW control of all 7 chips? If so this would give fairly accurate control. Edward
  22. Hi Doug The latest software is version 10.12 (April 2009), and the latest fixture library (to be used with Common Fixture Manger software) is version 32. I haven't come across this problem before. Maybe worth giving the faders a good clean with switch cleaner and an air duster as previously suggested, and also doing a console reset in SuperUser. If this doesn't work, there will most likely be a hardware problem with the fader circuit boards. It is very interesting this has happened as you describe almost suddenly. Keep us updated!   24. Sorry to hear that hasn't worked, I presume it's nothing as simple as checking the fixture is in the right channel mode and correct DMX address? I once used a Moonflower which DMX start address on the dip switches was actually an offset of +1 to what it should have been which confused me for a while! Edward
  25. Hello, Give this one a go, it looks like you had the parameter numbers correct, however the DMX values were the wrong way round. Therefore when you tried Beamshape you got intensity, and when you tried intensity (actually beamshape) you didn't get anything as the intensity channel wasn't actually up. Edward Equinox.ift
